Lost Season 3!!! (Beware of Spoilers)
No shit, how did you figure that one out? Was it the old film SAYING that, or the different bunkers?

Of course it had some type of experiment on the island, but now it seems that is no longer the case and that The Others are controling it.
I'm not talking about daramha or the old bunkers. I'm saying maybe they are in a snow globe type deal, and everything that has happened is because it was supposed to happen. Someone is looking into the "snow globe" they live in, and directing traffic.

If that makes sense.

got some info on upcoming episodes

don't read if you don't want to know what should happen

I got this from my buddy that works as an extra...first off, his son that is as an extra gets killed..the more important news, for the alleged 5 deaths that is coming by seasons end...juliet, the others doctor, is supposed to mark the tents that have pregnant women in them, so the others can take them...juliet tells the beach crew about that, and they allegedly mark some tents and then booby trap them with dynamite
Yeah. He offered his previous visitors lemonade. That was nice. But he also tried to kill them.

If Lost ends in the next 2 years or so, I highly anticipate a spinoff on some level. Worst case scenario, you'd get a show on the level of Stargate. Ok, maybe that would be the best case.
He's like Sour Patch Kids Candy. First he's sweet then he's sour and he has a patch. Damn product placement! :)
How would they do a spinoff? The writers continuely say that once you know what the island is than the show is over there is no more point. If anything we would get a movie that would be made just to piss fans off.
Have the writers ever stated if they know what the island is?
Best episode ever?
not the best episode evar but one of the best. Next week's TV Guide came in the mail today and has HUGE spoilers for the remainder of the season. about the 5 people that die, TV Guide is saying they're all "characters that we know and are comfortable with" or something to that degree

5 big characters are gonna die by the end of season? Maybe we're not gonna have to worry about them getting off the island by the end of the series, maybe everyone's just gonna die by the end?

Thats sucks...I hope kate doesn't go...how could they kill off so many?

So...any takers on the island ordeal now?

I am thinking that its not hell, but place where they go before they actual advance to hell/heaven. I mean, it has to be something of the extent. If lockes dad did die and if they did die in the plane crash...then wtf? I thought the writers said they are alive? Maybe they are "alive" yet dead after they die after the island..blah idk cuz patches died then came back to life! All I know is it looks like we will finally find out what the island really is soon.

Sorry for the poor grammar and writing, but im tired.

That would be purgatory which the writers have said they aren't in.

but I'll be pissed off if all of these people are just characters in Hurley's head who was in the nuthouse a la Identity or the final scene we see everyone laying in hospital beds in commas. I'll fell like I wasted time watching the show. They need to have something really really really good to finish the show with.

IMO this episode is in the top 10 for sure IMO. I think they are dead even though the writers have said they aren't. The writers are saying they're alive they could be playing the life after death card. Everyone on the plane blacked out then awoke on the island, same with Locke dad blacked out then on the island.

This is probably the first episode this season i actually enjoyed. Im thinking that the others kidnapped locke's father after the accident for some leverage cuz it seemed like they had a plan for locke since the very beginning.

I think it'd be cooler if they were in some limbo/hell/heaven type situation, but i dont think they'd go that philosophical after setting us up with this Dharma shit, and fertility blahblah whosawhatsit. I can see it going the way of some big corporation/organization covering up everything (ie: the plane's recovery with the bodies) so they can get something outta the island.

maybe its some science meets religion thing where they discover purgatory and dharma are trying to figure it out. Hopefully more will be revealed with Ben's episode. Its been a season of filler so they better give us something that moves the overall storyline .

last night was so so . you knew lockes dad ripped off swayers mother months ago . i think i even said it months ago those two story lines would hook up

next weeks big plot hopefully is WHAT IS THE SICKNESS

ew said one of the bigger mysteries from season 1 would be shown.

funny how locke had no problem with that french lady walking away with that box of dyamite LOL

actually according to tvguide, there is 4 more characters left to kill...lockes dad allegedly counted towards one of them...also the spoiler I had a page back about future episodes give a good hint as where the majority of deaths should come from

Well we know Charlie is going to die for sure. The writers told him he wouldn't be back next season unless it was in flashbacks. So its down to 3 really.

Interesting episode. I can't believe fucking Kate ran to Jack rating out the gang.

Can't wait to see the look on Jack and Julia's faces when James returns with the tape...I bet Jack and Julia will say that they are working together against Ben but by then, no one will believe them, or atleast it will take them a while.

Also, what do you guys think Russo is going to do with the TNT?

from what i heard from my buddy, and from the previews...i think they were in the process of coming clean right before sawyer shows back up
from what i heard from my buddy, and from the previews...i think they were in the process of coming clean right before sawyer shows back up
that was my interpretation also.

i double-checked and the new TV guide said there 5 confirmed but there might be as many as 7 bodies by the end of the season.
Also, what do you guys think Russo is going to do with the TNT?
my guess is she is going to blow Ben the fuck up...
my guess is she is going to blow Ben the fuck up...
That scene makes me curious as well. Why the hell would she need a whole box of TNT, and on top of that the shit is highly unstable. So why was it so easy for her to just pick up a crate, and not die.

Some interesting thoughts from the lost forum I lurke at.

Hey guys. I noticed where the others tie up cooper, it looks like a pillar of some sort. Maybe, this is where the hostiles prayed to their gods earlier. Like before Dharma took over the island?

Remember we saw the four toe foot statue a while back

I noticed that there was 8 pillars. All broken destroyed except for the one lockes dad was tied to.

Some are saying that Syaid asked Naomi about flight 825 and not flight 815, Some are saying it was just his accent making it sound like 825.

There is no way they would find that plane. The Ocean is very vast no doubt. It's not like they could narrow down where they were. Remember the pilot said the lost radio control for at least 2 hours if I remember right. Even if the others planted a plane. How would the rest of the world know where to start searching. Then they say they found it like 4 or 5 miles below the surface? NO WAY

Also in the pilot the half the plane crashed on the island. The other half in the ocean that plane was a plant.

Why was Sayid in the jungle digging a hole? And where did he get that shovel? In previous episodes he was always digging with bamboo or parts of the fuselage. Seriously, this has got to be the biggest mystery to the entire show!

(Graystone= me) He was in the Iraqi army its customary for all Armies all over the world to dig poop holes so your enemies can't follow you via your waste mater.

He could of been setting up traps cause he knows about the others coming.

Hey Jack's dad was in a coffin when they crashed. Maybe the island's healing powers made him come back to life. Maybe this is what happened to Mikael. Maybe when the plane crashed it healed some of the survivors who weren't as badly injured. Or even saved some that died.

Did Naomi say they found flight 815 off the coast of Bali? That makes no sense. They left Sydney and headed out over Fiji towards the US. At some point they turned back and headed towards Fiji. They even think they crashed in the Pacific ocean.

So why would the plane be found off the coast of Bali? Bali is part of Indonesia and is in the Indian Ocean. Its to the west of Australia. That whole story does NOT add up. Even if they flew a 1000 miles off course they still wouldn't find the plane in the Indian Ocean off of Bali.

I agree though, I couldn't figure out why Naomi said the plane was found in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Bali. Either she's not that bright or the island just got even more mysterious.

I have been noticing in the last few episodes how competent the others are at hand to hand combat. Juliette was able to fend off Kate even when Kate blindsided her. She was even able to gracefully flip her over. Mikhail was not able to beat up Jin (but who can) however it did seem he he had great reflexes and had been in a few fights in his day. It seemed he had skills past what he would be tought in a modern army. Ben in this week's episode swiftly knocked out Locke's dad. While that isn't that hard it seemed like he had definetly done that so far.

How would penny know Desmond would be at that location?
Her people the guys at the end of season 2 in the arctic station monitored a magnetic pulse and gave the co-ordinates to Penny she then set about sending a search party off to said co-ordinates.

My point how would she know Desmond and the magnetic pulse were related one of the same that where the magnetic pulse came from she would find Desmond?
Its a bit of a leap don't you think?

sayid said he hasnt seen anything this advanced when he is inspecting the phone, for a comunications expert to say that must be saying something pointing to timelines

i think that the theorie that time moves slower on the island is true, this is what jack and Juliette were going to tell kate. and it explains why the phone has advanced technology.

Which makes some sense because his flashbacks are all from around the early 90's and the Desert Storm.

Sayid was indeed a communications officer... for an army that uses out of date technology purchased from many diffrent sources. They sure dont have the gear any of the superpower nations use, and more to the point... sayid was in the army in the FIRST GULF WAR... Its not like he was a soldier yesterday

How advanced was your tech 10 years ago? Now... a nation that is BEHIND many others wth what it issues to its soliders, they SURE arent going to be using the best of the best... for that day.

Now consider that Naomi is working for "little miss money-bags" penny. It would only stand to reason that being sponsored by someone that rich... that naomi would have cutting-edge technology.

I REALLY doubt this is "future-tech", but it IS the best the world has to offer... and sayids comments are more a testament to the wealth and power of naomis backers, rather than evidence that naomi is "FUTURE GIRL"

in the man from tally (thats what he call it here Smile), we saw that awesome locke/ben interaction where locke lectured ben on the reason he was still wheelchair bound was becuase "he was cheating" living in modern houses, with conveniences, running water, food, nice clothes, etc. i think that really struck a chord with ben and he really took it to heart. so he decided to pack up everyone and move out......but why??

well now we see that the other are living in jsut tents! and theyre dirty! theyre getting closer to the island. ben is essentially taking locke's advice to stop cheating if he wants the island to heal him. so the others left the barracks so ben could be healed!

On day 82 Ben and Juliet went over his plan for her to infiltrate the Lostie's camp. Ben told her he would "See her in a week". That should be day 89. In The Brig, it is day 91. So what happened to Ben's plan, huh? The only contact they've made that we know of is Juliet's recording in the Staff, and that was on day 88. Did Ben's plan go awry, or was there some secret meeting between the two we don't know of yet?

i wouldnt trust what the TV guides say. Last season or was it season 2 they said we would see a lot more of that science dude who blew up with the dyamite.

He wacked him with that cane stick. very easy to knock someone out with a object . its not like he smacked him. how do you know mikhail couldnt beat up jin maybe he didnt want to get into a 4 on 1 fight. ALso he wanted to know more about the person who landed so why not just throw the fight

My point how would she know Desmond and the magnetic pulse were related one of the same that where the magnetic pulse came from she would find Desmond?

not really maybe she has knowledge of the island

sayid said he hasnt seen anything this advanced when he is inspecting the phone, for a comunications expert to say that must be saying something pointing to timelines

if this is something like the burma triangle i be so freaking pissed. That is why they found the bodies and everyone was dead. they might of found the plane 10 years into the future. they should asked it what YEAR It was :)
OMG
Its been known. The producers/creators/writers have said that they don't want to go past season 5 or 6. I honestly feel like this is a good thing.

Do you see yourself trying to figure out what the island is 8 years from now?

Didn't think so.
heres a question. if the island heals people why didnt ever heal the cop who was with kate.
Well that would be because your parents had the same last name before they were married.

Holy shit I lol'd to that. Good on ya!

There's going to be a lot of unanswered questions.

I can't remember what happened to the older couple they were in their 50's. It was the older black lady(can't remember her name), and the older white guy Bernard.

Their contracts weren't renewed? They are alive in the show, but havent been seen or mentioned at all.

I guess not, cause I don't remember them being killed. They just disappeared.
Rose and Bernard were replaced by Nicki and Paulo when Desmond came back from his time trip.
doubtful cause then rose would of died of the cancer and they already said desmond couldnt change the future didnt they

http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2007-05-06-lost_N.htm

The end is in sight for ABC's acclaimed island mystery Lost, but fans will have to wait until 2010 for all the answers.

In a highly unusual move, the network announces plans today to end the show after three more shortened seasons of 16 episodes each. The episodes will air consecutively, repeat-free, from February to May.

COMPARE: See how 'Lost' and 'Heroes' match up in weirdness

ABC's bold step marks a response to the show's producers, who have been eager to set a finish line to better plot out their convoluted mystery of plane-crash survivors and to placate fans who are frustrated that the show seemed to be vamping its way to a conclusion.

"Among fans there was an unease that they were making an investment in a show that's complicated without any sense of where that's going to lead them," co-creator Damon Lindelof said in an exclusive interview. "From the very beginning, fans and even critics have been saying, 'Are you making it up as you go along?' " which was "a legitimate question."
Do you see yourself trying to figure out what the island is 8 years from now?

Didn't think so.
I know that, and I've said before. I was just posting a bit more "official" statement.

I like it this way rather than what happened with Alias where the suddenly had to wrap up all their plotlines in half a season.
I like it this way rather than what happened with Alias where the suddenly had to wrap up all their plotlines in half a season.
Agreed and WTH for that USA today thing. 16 episode seasons till 2010?! Bah it's going to suck having to wait almost a year when this season is over but it's nice to know that there is an ending in sight and they will be working towards it. Also the hype for the seaon finale just jumped 4 pegs on my scale.

Lame about trying to squeeze 1 season into 3

im sorry but i doubt anyone will even care about lost come 2010. They should taken a clue from stargate and see how quickly that fan based dried up when they pulled the same thing (longer breaks)

i do got one question though about BEN. I wonder when ben found that black dude in the balloon dead. Ben had to be a child cause why would he taken that name. THey were calling him BEN even before the plane crashed so either they had the same name or he found the balloon crashed on the island when he was young.

also did they ever give the name of lockes father. anyone notice swayers mother was MARY like the virgin mary.

i still say it was a bad move for abc to do. I say

Make one MAJOR SEASON next year then end it then put out yearly movies something like that one show that was on sci fi.

i know one thing i will never pay 40 or 50 bucks for lost season 4 when its that short of a season.

i wonder how many people will even come back to lost feb 2008 LOL

good week this week for shows though

Weds. end of jericho. lost
thurs. supernatural (be shocked to see this picked up)

I wonder if they will keep all the people till 2010 or just shoot 48 shows back to back to back so they have it in the can yet they dont have to pay the people till 2010

I kinda like doing the shortened seasons. It allows for less filler, which has been a MASSIVE problem the last 2 seasons.

If you do the math, it's really like 2 regular seasons worth of episodes, which is about how long I thought it should continue.
His name was Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry.
That's an alias. Not sure if they ever said his real name.

16 episodes per season sucks. They should have made it 24 over 2 seasons but I know that they will make more money splitting it up. I was really looking forward to seeing the end next year. On the bright side, hopefully they don't rush it and answer all the questions.

LOL guess so . ... some reason i thought his name was ben

i wonder if there is a connection there

Gale = balloon. the wind made the thing crash into the island.
