oh and i guess
Jack dosent die anytime soon
Possibly the worst twist yet. Jack and Kate already knew each other now?
No, they'reoff the island. WTF.

... are you stupid?

What the heck? And when Jack asked "Get my father down here and if he's drunker than I am, fire me," does that mean his father is still alive?

I will say that I've been following Heroes from the beginning, and during the last 2 months I caught up on Lost, but this finale totally blew Heroes out of the water.

I think that was intentionally placed. My answer is

Yes, as that "future", which we saw, was akin to Desmond's flashes. In other words, it's what could happen -- not necessarily what will or what had happened.

they must have did that purposely to throw us off...either he is crazy or his father is somehow alive in which i believe he is just crazy...also we dont know whos funeral that was

I took that as Jack was so fucked up that he was just completely lost, so to say. Plus it let us still think it was actually a flashback.

But hoooooooly shit that episode was amazing. By far one of the best season finales of a show I've seen in a long time.
I guess now we're left to wonder who died that caused Jack to spiral so much. My dad had an interesting theory where it was Ben's funeral, and that Jack was finally realizing that Ben was right when he told him that it was the wrong idea to call the freighter.

absolutely agree...heroes was crap compared to this finale
Anybody think the show switches to "flash-forwards" next year instead of flashbacks?
they could only do it with certain charcters...ones they dont plan on killing off

Pretty cool. Its going to be interesting to see how the next season starts out.

And I agree, the Heroes finale has nothing on this one.

See, the problem with that theory...
is that Jack's father is already dead. As in, he was dead when the plane crashed.

Besides, in the hour that aired before the finale, the producers said that the series would show us the characters' pasts, presents, and futures. We've got until next year to know for sure, but I'm calling the flash-forward legit.

Ho-lee SHIT, that was some good television. :D
Anybody think the show switches to "flash-forwards" next year instead of flashbacks?
Absolutely. At this point, I think that the flashbacks are done because they've closed most of the threads from them this season.

Who's to say that they don't get rescued immediately after the call? Hell, who's to say that the remaining half of the series won't be entirely flash-forwards?

All I know now is that since they've got the timeframe down exactly, they're going to be able to tell the story to its completion. I have complete faith in the show's creative staff at the moment - they earned it again with this season. :)

Actually, I think it was Jack being sarcastic. Notice that earlier he said that his dad was "out of the office" when trying to fill his prescription. He's making a comment on how sad the situation is (and also being a junkie and trying to get his fix).

Man, nobody knows what the fuck to this of this, but CAGgers got it right. This was well done, hopefully with a hint of design towards Season 4. If they know what the fuck they are doing, this was most excellent. If not, however, I'm afraid they just shot themselves to the point of no return.

What I'm saying is... Season 4 Episode 1 is going to be the most anticipated LOST episode for me yet.

Gothic_Walrus;2950303 Who's to say that they don't get rescued immediately after the call? Hell said:
well for one...charlie confirmed that Penny had nothing to do with the ship and Niomi...so it should be safe to say that the people that will be coming are not the good guys like Ben said...but who knows till we start getting previews for next year

I saw the future thing coming actually. I know how smart the producers are, and I saw the KRAZR at the begining. I know they wouldn't have done something like that unintentionally

Yeah. When he said "get my dad down here", that could have been him acknowledging that he was dead.

(Or was it "up"?)

Ooh...good point. I didn't think about that. #-o

i think personally that the others and the surviviors will have to work together to ward off the newcomers which should be interesting and take up a season at least

Who was in the casket you say?

Had to be Ben. Kate showed little remorse and he had no family. Jack said he was neither a friend or family of the dead. My guess is that when they left the island Ben's cancer came back and eventually killed him. Oh, and that definitley was the future. Notice Jack's Razor phone.

Word. I kind of started thinking that when I saw flat screens in the hospital. Not that having a flat screen meant that for certain, but it made me start thinking.

I agree with this completely.

i was thinking
maybe locke. since he tried to stop them from getting off the island and at this point he's neither friend nor family.
.
ho.ly.fuck.
haha i got email notification of this reply on my blackberry when
kate was talking to jack at the airport
and i laughed because that was exactly what i was thinking. :D

were they doing some kind of special effect on kate's face during that scene? it seemed like they were blurring her features a bit.
I'd guess Sawyer.
I'm saying not Sawyer, because Kate said she had to get back to him. I'm guessing the him is Sawyer.

I don't agree with Michael or Sawyer, they both had friends and family (as far as we know) to which people would come to see them. Although it's not a definite impossibility, I agree that it pretty much HAS to be either Locke or Ben. Also maybe Roussoue (or however you spell it).

That's what I thought at first but we've seen her almost exclusively on the island or on the run from one person or another in flashbacks. Not exactly optimal conditions for keeping up one's appearance.

I just think it was make-up. She looked good though.

That's what I was implying. Definitely looks more like her days doing phone-chat commercials.

yeah i was actually yelling out loud when sayid killed that guy with both hands tied behind his back

he is a badass... and...

hurley owns!!!!!

Yeah! fucking Sayid and Hurley on the rampage fucking owned! If that was the entire finale summed up i'd be totally happy.
If that was the entire finale summed up i'd be totally happy.
That's immediatley what I thought, then someone was like "and there's still 15 minutes left!" And it was the sweetness. But that ending was such a downer, I mean:

Jacks all fucked up and sad. Man it's so depressing.

Holy fuck!!!

I have so much to say but I can't type as much as I need to say.

Hurley = badass with the van kill
Sayid with the leg kill = my hero.

They shouldn't have left the island. I think that the casket was Locke. Remember he had no family. He also said more then anyone the island is more then an island. But at the same time. He also disappeared back into the jungle when Jack made the phone call.

I don't know who's on the casket but its a man who's first name starts with a "J" and last name ends in "...ham". (possibly Graham?)

I took a screenshot with my camera phone. At first I thought it be James, but his last name is, Ford, other names with J are John Lock, Jin Kwan...I don't really know who it could be...maybe we haven't met this mistery man yet.

Can't be Sawyer, because it says of New York. Also, Ben was born in Portland area, so it couldn't be him either. Very mysterious. Were any Losties from New York?
