So you're saying you'd rather play Seti than Mog?
Nope. Looks like the Bengals are on track for a bye, which would mean the Ravens are likely looking at the 5 seed. That's a tough first round matchup for whoever gets the 4. The 6 seed meanwhile would probably travel to whoever finishes higher of the West/East winners. Historically, an easier matchup than mog, but who knows this season.
Right now it's down to Ravens, Broncos, Chiefs, Jets, Bills, and Pats fighting for 4 spots. Should be an interesting finish.
Let's take a look at the state of the race, with remaining scheduled for each team (other contenders in bold) along with the head-to-head tiebreakers:
Ravens (8-3): Texans, Browns, Colts, Browns, Cardinals
Wins over: Bills
Losses to: Broncos
Chiefs (7-3): Bills, Broncos, Raiders, Jets, Steelers, Bears
Wins over: Broncos (1 to play), Patriots
Losses to:
Broncos (7-3-1): Chiefs, Chargers, Raiders, Texans, Dolphins
Wins over: Ravens, Bills
Losses to: Chiefs (1 to play), Jets
Ties: Patriots
Jets (7-4): Pats, Bills, Chiefs, Raiders, Eagles
Wins over: Broncos
Losses to: Bills (1 to play), Patriots (1 to play)
Bills (6-4): Chiefs, Dolphins, Jets, Cowboys, Giants, Raiders
Wins over: Jets (1 to play), Patriots (split)
Losses to: Broncos, Ravens, Patriots (split)
Pats (5-4-1): Raiders, Jets, Bengals, Dolphins, Chargers, Giants
Wins over: Bills (split), Jets (1 to play)
Losses to: Chiefs, Bills (split),
Ties with: Broncos
Will be interesting to see if that tie comes back to haunt either the Broncos or the Pats. Very well could.
