Eh, I called the number of the marketing company, and I didn't get anyone on the line. I hate automated services.

Anyway, these people sure as hell better cancel my "sub". I didn't pay for it, I didn't want it, and there was nothing in the small print when I signed up for Sporting News.

I did learn a nice lesson, though: never sign up for anything that's free unless it's an official deal that has been proven to work.
 
I must have signed up for Stuff and Maxium 3 times each over the past couple years and haven't received anything yet. If anyone wants to get rid of their subscriptions, I'll *gladly* take them.
 
Holy crap, my TV guide offer came through, I just got the first issue today. Good to see not all offers are fake.

BTW, I can't find it anywhere in the mag, is there a number to call for a change of address? I've changed addresses since signing up for it and their site won't allow me to login.

I just got my first digital mag. ever for EGM, which one did I sign up for that? Is there anyway to sign up for the ACTUAL in paper subscription?
 
I still don't get it, my issue came from Zino magazines. I got my issue there. I checked the EGM website and they said my last issue is June 2006, does that mean my first issue is this month?

Or maybe I signed up for EGM at 2 different places?

This happened to a bunch of us around the same time . . . I called the 800 subcription number and got it straightened out in March (corrected for the May issue) and they also sent me back issues (Mar. and April) but I still don't have the Jan and Feb ones . . . :whistle2:(

Would anyone trade J and F EGMs for a player's guide???

Anyone else get just an answering machine calling these guys to unsubscribe (I use that term loosely) from Maxim, Stuff, Blender, etc....? I left a message to unsubscribe but who knows if that will work. Needless to say I'm livid about receiving these.

I received those and tried to cancel, they said I couldn't. Simply refuse delivery of them and they will be sent back. As the publisher has to pay for the return they won't send out another. Worked for me.

but its not quite the same . . . I have all issues since this console generation was underway . . . want to be able to actually pull them from the shelf.

I've done this a lot when I buy cheapass games . . . like last summer when I scooped up tons of $5 games at CC . . . I went back and read the reviews and previews (even looked at the ads) in a state of wonder that the games sold for $50 at release :)

But I will trade if anyone wants to get rid of their print Jan and Feb 2005 EGMs . . . I did read these issues . . . checked them out at the library.

Eh, it's free. I don't sign up for every free magazine sub I come across here, but while Sync is pretty mediocre, there are worse ways to kill the 10-15 mins of time leafing through each issue. Also, I've signed up for worse (Details).

hehehe, I do that to. I was in the mood to play some older games a couple months ago, so I dug through my oldest mags and made up a list of SNES, Genesis, and ps1 games I wanted to try and find at gamestop. ahh, back issues are awesome

That's the one with the Xbox 360 cover story. That's been out for sometime, you might want to report that to their CS and see if you can get another issue of it.
