no doubt. need some games (not 64 remakes, either, as they count zelda & starfox as NEW games).

the battery life SUCKS for those that travel. i play in about 2 hr sessions, and i get MAYBE 2-2.5 hours out of a charge (with brightness on 4), so it's not hard to plug in if i want to play more. i have a soft silicon case on mine, so it doesn't fit in the cradle, anyway.

i'm the same way. i hate it, but buy them because they are games i either never played, or started, but didn't finish cuz they looked horrible once i got an HDTV. i support the psp ones, cuz it gives people a chance to play them that don't have a psp.

i bought GoW coll 1 & Sly remakes, and will buy GoW coll 2 & SotC/Ico remakes (and depending on the quality, the MGS & Silent Hill ones. it sucks i could've had both locked in a $39 @ amazon if i'd have known they were gonna buck the trend & jack the price up later on).

what? Gears 3, Rage, Dark Souls, Forza 4, Batman:Arkham City (GOTY contender here), Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3 (don't play this or gears, but they're there), Assassins Creed: Revalations, Skyrim, Uncharted 3, LoZ: Skyward Sword, Super Mario 3DS (Land?), Tales of the Abyss 3DS, Tales of Xellia (if lucky), and then there are many that are still maybes & all the HD remakes.

i literally had to shorten my list to what i can play, and what has good preorder stuff. rage & batman have 10$ promos (plus have them locked in at $54), AC:Revalations has a 'super' edition @ GS with bonus sp content, etc., Forza 4 i have the 80$ CE locked in @ 59$, skyrim has a physical cloth map, battlefield3 has a free map pack, so that's what i have paid off & can't afford another thing.

i had to cut games since there's no way it's worth buying games on day 1 if i can't play them OR they have no $ promos. but the games i am getting, the only ones i'll be trading in are rage, batman, & AC:R, so once i do that, and some trading sprinkled in, i'll get the others, but the 1st qtr of 2012 is just as beastly it seems. this kind of sucks. why couldn't these trickle out all year? pulishers are idiots.



EDIT: yeah, i see that it's $39 again. was still $49 when i wrote that stuff about MGS in Oldschool's thread. i was hoping the MGS collection would be the same as EVERY OTHER HD collection, but nope. sucks the silent hill is only 2 & 3. shattered memories, 1, or 4 shoud be in there, too, imho. make money money, make money money
 
Of everything you mentioned, I'm only really looking forward to:

Gears 3, Uncharted 3, Super Mario 3DS (Land?). The rest, I am either skipping or waiting for the price to drop.
 
These are the ones I'm looking forward to: Dark Souls, Batman:Arkham City, Halo: Anniversary, Assassins Creed: Revelations, Uncharted 3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Dead Island, Warhammer 40K: Space Marines, Resistance 3, Ico/SotC, Twisted Metal, Silent Hill Downpour, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City ...and the rest come out next year :lol: I've only pre-ordered Dark souls and Ico/SotC so far but I will get the rest when they hit $20-$30. Considering how fast games have been dropping I imagine it'll be a week or two after their release date:razz:

forgot Deus Ex:HR & Resistance 3. those are the only 2 i'm looking to play IF they get good reviews (i've hated every resitance so far, but this one looks great, and i can play with the Move if it's implemented as well as it was in KZ3, so i don't have to use the DS3 on a FPS).

i want halo aniversary, but hear the maps will be released for Reach, so i'll get it down the roead for 10-15$ to re play the sp campaign with friends. that was a blast on the same screen, but my friends were visiting for other reasons, and would play 1 level, then bone out, so it was never as much fun as i could tell it could be.

no interest in most zombie games, bud Dead Island has my attention at $20.

did y'all hear about the Infamous 2 vampire add on? sounds SWEET, and i don't need the game to play it (since i will have shipped it off by then). that's what i call expansions done right. way to go, Sucker Punch!

right, which i elobrated on in my statement. i don't count psn as arcade games. i only buy dlc from psn store, unlike XBLA, so i'm not used to there actually being a game worth buying on psn.

I know there's a wide variety of bobble heads and I remember thinking that some Alien or Terminator bobble heads for my car might be neat but the constant bobbing would probably get on my nerves :lol:
 
i could care less about playing those games, so at least i'll eventually get a platinum prize (that may be worth something NEXT YEAR). the way you feel towards the coins are probably the exact way i feel towards the games, lol. the same as nothing to me, as i will never touch them, lol (unless the NES ones end up being 3D eventually. then, i'll play maybe 2-3 minutes of each just to see what they look like. the GBA ones in 3D would be sweet).
 
That was a disturbing bobble head video indeed :lol: Bobble heads just don't appeal to me I would rather have a nice Action figure that I can pose near my computer. I used to get one from every game that I completed which is why I started collecting Halo 3 figures even though I had only played the PC game ;)

that's a cool idea.

my last action figures were Transformers (most with real metal/alloy, lol), and G.I.Joe (not the big one's from the 60's & 70's my grandpa always mentioned when he saw mine, lol). so i never knew there were action figures of video game characters except the Japanese school girls from rpgs, and the ones at comicon that were $200-$1000.

btw, did you play DoA 3DS? i started to get it, but don't think i'd like it enough to pay for it, lol. i wonder if the online holds up? i know several females on my 3DS friends list that love it. only the girls have it. that's weird, since the robust proportions on the lady-kind in-game are reaching out to the male gamers, for sure.

i never liked any DoA games, which is why i didn't think i'd like the 3DS version. i've heard it's great, and i could have gotten cheap, but that would cut ot Ico/Sotc collection (which i can still no longer get on release day :cry:). lmk how the DoA game is if you played it. thanks.

I thought it was either some health food bar I tried or some sweet onion Chicken Burgers that made me sick but it's lasted too long so I think I must have caught a case of stomach flu when my nieces came over this last weekend. I figured they were just sleeping a lot because they were staying up late playing games before school started this week but I guess not :whistle2:(
