Yea, there is an Xbox 360 thread, but the game is coming to every console and it seems each console is getting some extras, as well as some gameplay changes. Alot of this info is from what I gathered myself and off of the Wiki.

- Current Gen systems (PS2, Xbox) will feature a cell shaded look to the characters, much like X-Men Legends 1 + 2

- Next Gen systems (360, PS3) will feature more intense, life like graphics.

- I believe the Wii will have graphics akin to the PS2 / Xbox, from the screen shots I've seen of it, but will have motion sensor powered special moves.

- The GBA game has some unique differences in it:

* Just like the other versions, players can switch between any character during the game. Players can also create their own team involving only 3 characters. Also, some characters will not be available on the GBA, such as Black Panther.

* Exclusive to the GBA version: players can call in a striker, which performs devasting attacks on-screen enemies.

* Some additional gameplay modes added including: Shield Simulator, Time Challenges, Scavenger Hunts, and a Survival mode.

Here are the confirmed next - gen (360 / PS3 / Wii) exclusive characters:

- Moon Knight
- Colossus
- Possibly two more, nobody is really sure of this... Colossus was originally visible as a character beaten by Dr. Doom and is playable, so chances are that Hulk, Gambit, or Cyclops could show up some place as well. Hell, it could be someone completely unique that no one saw coming, ala Moon Knight.

Here are the confirmed PSP exclusive characters AND exclusive missions:

- Ronin
- Hawkeye
- Nova
- One more that hasn't been announced yet

- It will also have SIX exclusive comic book missions (similar to X-Men Legends 2 on PSP) as well as exclusive prequel missions.

Right now it's unsure if the PS2 / Xbox / PC ports of the game will feature anything exclusive of their own, as all that's really been talked about in depth is the GBA / PSP / Next Gen versions.

Best reveal yet today with Deadpool. Sure, we knew he was in from screenshots of the game already, but it's always nice to have it confirmed. He sounds badass from the description on the VIP site.

I hope this kind of release will not be rampant. It's not fair for fans to be deprived of all the content just because it's released over like 5 different systems.

Honestly, I'm all for it.

I never would have gotten the PSP version once I have the 360 one, but 4 extra characters and a ton of extra levels? I will definitely double dip for that.

Yea, it sucks if you don't have the system in question, but them's the breaks I guess.

It's far better than just a simple port where nothing changes. Hawkeye in the PSP version + comic book levels means I'll buy it as soon as I find it cheap enough. The PSP port of X-Men Legends 2 was awesome and the extra stuff was the icing on the cake.

I mean, it's about fucking time people with next gen systems get something worth the extra $10 they'll pay for their copy, instead of a version that's WORSE than the cheaper old gen versions.

But wouldn't you rather buy one copy of the game and get all the extras?

I never buy more than one copy of a game, because the extras aren't worth the entire extra cost of a game, unless it is a completely different version, or the story is so vastly different that I actually would want to play through it again. I could have gotten the PC version of X-Men Legends II for whatever the exclusive character was there, but my GameCube copy was enough.

I think I am going to end up with the Wii and the Xbox360 version. Just because I want to play with and without the Wiimote. I doubt I will get either on their release day since the last two Marvel games like this prices sunk like a rock tied to a torpedo aimed at the ocean floor.

To be honest I' m more then a little annoyed with the PSP version getting some extra missions. They did the same thing with the PSP version of X-Men Legends II. With that said the only version I plan on owning is the Wii version of the game.

I actually take my portables out of the house, so a portable version of Marvel Ultimate Alliance that is different than the home versions is enough to make me consider it for trips / school / that sort of thing.

In an ideal world, it would be nice to buy one copy of the game and get all the extras, but I also like that the developer gives people incentive to get a portable version instead of just making a straight boring port.

I also think the PSP version is taking some characters out to make room for the new characters (YMMV though) so it will play pretty differently.

I can see your point. But I hardly see a few extras mission as enough to justify a second purchase of a game. If they really want to give me a reason to buy a 2nd version of the game why not actually make it different? But hey to each his own, right?

I'm hoping I get the PSP version for Christmas, and I'd like to get the 360 version.
The game looks awesome, but probably not a day one buy for me. Like someone said, the others dropped in price pretty quick, and Phantasy Star comes out the same day. I'll probably get Marvel and Splinter Cell with my X-mas bonus. So I'll have have to wait a couple months to play it.

I had planned to get the PSP and 360 versions to begin with, so the bonus characters are cool to me. I'm not huge on everything Marvel so I don't know all of the characters involved with the game but Hawkeye is cool for a PSP add on. I was hoping for Hulk to be included as playable on one of these versions that I am getting as well. I think he may be under another maker's contract though. Most of the other characters I like are already in, but I was really wanting the Punisher(I think he's under another contract as well) to be in this game as well.

...

Moon Knight?

I was tempted when I heard Luke Cage is in, but now I'm sold.

Though I still think spreading the content out so much is a little annoying. There should be some kind of happy middle, like ONE cool exclusive chatacter, and the others take significant work to unlock, with exactly which ones varying from system to system. Four exclusive characters is just a lazy way to get you to rebuy 95% of the same code.

And from what I've seen, the Wii version actually looks to have the more "realistic" graphics, though I could be wrong.

so i'm looking at videos for this game and i see promos for karnak and corsair and heimdall and all these other characters..

but only 20 are playable? please tell me this isn't true..

24 + will be playable but there are a TON of NPC's from the Marvel Universe.

They need to keep the game balanced.
Time to pimp my hands-on preview of the next-gen versions: http://www.gamesradar.com/us/xbox36...006171019441068&releaseId=2006042714324876024
I was honestly a little turned off by the Wii version. It seemed too random, as far as the motion control. PS3/360 versions had me psyched, though -- especially the God of War-style boss battles.
Thanks for the preview. One question, though: doesn't the PS3 use the same motion control as the Wii?

EDIT: I should clarify. I wondered if the PS3 -- which uses the same motion control for powers as the Wii, I think -- suffered from the same sense of delayed responsiveness as the Wii controls, in your opinion.

I'm sort of throwing my hands in the air on this one...I'm not sure which version to get at this point. I'm playing X-Men Legends II on my PSP now so that is an option since its pretty good....but I may also want to get it for the Wii since I'll be getting it at launch. I would like to see a review first though. I might also grab a 360 or a PS3 so it might be worth it to wait for one of those versions. The PS3 trailer does show motion sensing controls as well. I think this generation is going to be a lot of which version should I get?

From what I played of the PS3 version (which, admittedly, wasn't a ton), the motion control only comes into play for boss battles -- taking out the snow giant dude or Galacticus (Galactus? Whatever...). Since these are very deliberate movements following onscreen commands, there's no real delay.
