Before the Holiday sale ends, what did everyone get?
Being a new Quest owner, I'm buying from square one, but I managed to use only Meta credit on my purchases. I repurchased a few games I have on PSVR1 because of the Quest's convenience. I got:
- Apex Construct
- Assassin's Creed Nexus
- AVICII Invector
- Best Saber (used 30% Quest+ coupon)
- Fracked
- Fruit Ninja 2
- LEGO Bricktales
- Pinball FX2 VR + all DLC (have on PSVR1)
- Pistol Whip
- REZ Infinite (have on PSVR1 and PAL Dreamcast)
- Star Wars Pinball VR (have on PSVR1)
- Triangle Strategy
- Ultimate Swing Golf
- Yuki Space Ranger
I bought and refunded Arcade Paradise VR. It was insanely buggy for me including where I couldn't progress from the first use of the safe. A restart did fix it. I don't get motion sickness easily, including with VR, but running around and doing laundry made me sick. I'm bummed. I was looking forward to this game.
I also tried the trial for a few games: C-Smash VRS, which I'll wait for a sale. Bulletstorm VR, which I really enjoyed and am tempted to get now, but I'll wait for a bigger sale. Warhammer: Age of Signmar, which is straight up broken. Enemies move with single digit fps, selecting weapons from the radial wheels is finicky and too close to the player. Weapons' secondary abilities don't always trigger. Turning only works with every other input, smooth or click turn. It's on sale for $2.49 (from $24.99) and will be delisted soon, but it's not worth it unfortunately.
I'm still annoyed games redeemed or available on Quest+ with an active description can't be purchased. I'd like to get a few of more (Until You Fall, Walkabout Mjni Golf, Tetris Effect) , but now have to wait for my sub to end.
I was going to get Moss Book II, but decided to get it on PSVR1. I have the first game there anyway. I'm also waiting for a larger discount on Max Mustard and Metro Awakening. I might get Synth Riders eventually, despite also having it on PSVR1. But the latter is not being updated anymore and there's more DLC on Quest. I prefer using the Move controllers for Synth Riders though, since the bulbus ends of the Move mimic the in-game apparatus so well. And that's the probably the only time I'll prefer the Move controllers for anything lol
Quite a few didn't get discounts at all, like Star Wars Tales from Galaxy's Edge, Resident Evil 4 and Iron Man, that I was hoping would.
Finally, five people that accepted my referral still haven't registered a device. That's a bummer. I probably would've gotten more if those went through, including some Beat Saber DLC. I still have a good amount of credit left, but I'll wait for more sales. I have enough to play and no time to play it as it is lol
