Lots of bad reviews because of its' software but it has been fixed. I might just pick one up my self.

Thanks for that Hydro, where does it mention the software being fixed?

Thanks

I like this mouse quite a bit.

The only PC game I play is Warhammer Online, but it functions well. I like the button placement and the glow is pretty sweet.

I use this mouse and highly recommend it. Razer technology with Microsoft's comfortable intellimouse design.
The price seems to be $35 right now. If it was wireless, I'd bite.
It's still at 28 for me. It's wired because that improves response time for gamers.

Both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 wireless controllers have absolutely no discernable lag (this has been tested), so the stigma that wireless peripherals are laggy is outdated.

I'm not sure about comparing a mouse which requires much more precision to a console controller. . .wireless is overrated for mice anyway. Unless its for an HTPC gaming rig. This is currently dead anyway because Amazon's price went up and its showing a 3rd party seller by default now. As we know, that could change by the time I post this.
how does that one compare to this one ($20):

Half the dpi, so it'd be sluggish in comparison. If this were the only one you'd had experience with however, you'd hardly notice. The Habu, while not contoured as much as this mouse will feel more comfortable thanks to the teflon feet and fact that its likely weighted in a way that will allow it to glide easier.

I personally use a Razer mouse I got from CC back before they closed for 12 bucks. The Diamondback. I don't believe having had a "gaming" mouse in my hands that I will ever be able to jump back into the normal mouse market again. The response time is overwhelming at first, but once you're used to it I can definitely see the advantages the higher dpi gives.

I have this mouse and love it...except... I have a cat and the opening for the laser constantly gets clogged with cat hair. I've never had the problem with my old Logitech MX310 mouse.

Word. The hurdle with the Habu is the firmare upgrade if you want to do it. It's a juggling act to be sure. Once you get everything squared away an hour later, the thing is fantastic. 'Til your scroll wheel breaks 2 weeks later...
