Modern Warfare 2 CAG Clan - Wednesday/Friday @ 7PST/10EST

Man thats a pretty nasty break up and the Wow update is interesting (NO more freaking Soul Shards yay!!! :whee: ) might have to hit up my lock when the expan comes out. Whenever that is........
 
Sorry I only played one match of hardcore TDM with you guys. A few of my friends joined our session, then we went to play 3rd Person Team Tactical, which I must admit, is really freaking fun.

Well today Hostile learned that shooting things will make them explode....

OK, so Mad was getting closer & closer to his first nuke. Then he finally was 1 kill away. He had his sights on a target, and was about to execute him. Then all of a sudden....

Here's my side. Kefka had basically told us to try not to steal kills from Mad's Chopper Gunner so I hid. Sometime after it flew away I got the one kill I needed for a Predator which was close to where Mad was because I saw him running past my screen. Not wanting to take away kill targets from him, I decided to pop my Predator. In another twist of fate I was actually going to go for someone a little above the enemy (and ally) I killed but thought he might have been in a building so quickly pressed down on the analog and ran the Predator through a huge batch of trees straight onto that red box we all love so much. A second later Mad yells "WHAT THE fuck WAS THAT!?!?!" and I noticed a car had killed him. Suffice to say I knew it it was my fault after seeing and hearing that.

Keep in mind Mad has some bad luck with getting close to getting a Nuke and maybe this was just fate. Food for thought.

To anybody who didn't show up for last nights CAG Game Night or for the pre-Game Night festivities... you missed several buttloads of ackshun that you may never... ever... see happen again in this lifetime.
 
Anyone want my steelbook case edition MW2 (PS3)? I REALLY want Bad Company 2 LE (PS3)...would like to do an even swap. Too lazy to update my tradelist so just throwing this out there. :)
 
Bummer Mad39er...I've been close once and knows how it feels, not quite as close as you though. fucking cars the come out of nowhere sometimes. I wish I could been in that game, probably won't be back on until the week of the Stimulus (more money in Activisions pockets to pay for the lawyers) package comes to the PS3 May 4.
 
There, I did it! BC2 is officially ordered.

Luckily I live really close to their warehouse (Amazon), so I usually get it 1-2 days with FSSS.

Since I missed the pre-party action last night, the best thing I think I witnessed was the pre-pube teens rage quitting after trash talking after we beat them in the first match.

This is just to check who we know will be playing BC2 from this group.

MW2 is becoming unplayable if you are by yourself. I still enjoy it, but it has to be with a group of people from CAG. So I will really only hop on if somebody posts in the thread (I check my subs every 10 mins or so), or for the game night.
 
Me using the sniper rifle as Hito is spawn camping:
Me: "I can't tell if I'm hitting anything."
Hito: "Look for the hit markers."
Me: "Oh, I'm taking out fences."
Hito: "Did you just say you were taking out fences?"

Followed by a little later on during the ending of another match...
Me: "Oh crap, I just got ran over by a helicopter."
Hito: "You what?"
Me: "Dude, it crash landed on top of me right before we won."
You could almost hear Hito facepalm.
 
I got in on two BC2 conquest matches last night....both times on defense....maps are definitely bigger.....and easier to circle around enemies. I have no clue what map I was on the second time...but getting sniped still sucks.....but it rocks when you can circle around the advancing enemies and take out the advancing 4 before the sniper plucks you from afar.

I do like how you have the option to respawn with any of your squad.

Now, what sucked for me is that no one on my squad had a headset beyond me.

Warning when you start BC2, if you are like me and have 7.1 with a 12" sub....turn it down unless you want to wake the house. Far more bass in this than in MW2. I was rumbling the entire house on the same volume levels I play MW2 with.
 
I'll be playing today provided I don't get called out for service. If nobody is really playing MW2 I'll be bouncing between BC2 and that. I will give preference to MW2 if anybody wants to play, so don't feel bad about inviting me if I'm the middle of a game, I wanna play with people I know.
 
Dont worry Fred. MW2 is still high on the list for me. But I want a change of pace with BC2. lol the random stuff that Mad does is way to funny (but to be honest he does that in MW2 too lol )
 
Going to have to get on at some point.....just took a 3.5 hour "practice" exam for a certification....have 1 more I *can* take before taking the regular exam. Please shoot me....or I can do a team kill....

Oh, and I *might* have a HD recording system setup to show how much I suck come Wednesday...depends when it arrives.

Well, got stopped on my third nuke push now, however we did "Donkey Punch" those idiots for the last game of the night. I mean we were mostly dicking around, so they thought they could beat us because they won the first round. Muahahaha. I did score First Blood all three times I think and managed to get up to probably 20 since I lost count. My harrier was being a real bitch and didn't turn around to face the opposing team either so I had to yell at her too. I might have been able to nuke it if we weren't so hardcore defending A but we didn't want to lose either, especially with all the trash talk going on, so I'm satisfied about the outcome and seeing the final score when Hito, Kefka and myself went 50+ kills each on them.

The only effective thing that I see that will allow me to utilize the Tritton (if the d@mn thing EVER gets back) is the Hauppauge HD PVR. I have other uses for it, but running it through my Denon AV processor and out HDMI will do the trick. Just need to drag a PC over to it for some recording...and to remember when I choose the M16 that it is 3 shot bursts...died twice because of that.
 
That is about half of what I paid, but in my setup it will be far easier for me to utilize the Hauppauge so that I can easily plug in anything directly to that through the component input and have that feed into the receiver. The other potential plus for the Hauppauge is that it can do 5.1 on the audio. Not a hug deal here, but it could be beneficial with other things.

The thing that I cannot figure out with the card only method is how to have HD audio while I play. It looks to capture optical in, but I could figure out a way to split that (easily)...the Hauppauge seemed like the better HD Video/Audio solution.

The only thing that really matters is how the video comes out with either one.

How to piss someone off - tell them you are shipping their RMA out when you don't have product in. Here I am waiting for my AX Pro after being told they were shipping it out LAST Monday. Looks like I am going to be lucky to have it before I head off to Phoenix on the 26th at this point.

Oh, the PVR should be here Wednesday...now, do I have it setup for playing...that is another story.
 
With all this talk about recording, does anyone have advice on a cheap Dazzle I can buy? Like I don't need HD, since I play on a shitty TV. But I was looking into recording, and I didn't know what the best/cheapest Dazzle/capture card would be to get?

This is how I feel except with audio as well. Everyone is all touting HD visuals and stuff but I think the real icing on the cake is the lossless audio that BR have. The extra space is well used with the audio and it makes a world of a difference on a great set up.

Haha, I know it sucks. But I'm only 14, so I have to make do with what I can. Luckily, I just bought a bricked Wii from a friend for dirt cheap and fixed it, so after I sell it, I might have enough for a 22 inch HDTV.
 
If your TV has standard output, you should be able to feed it a 480i/p signal through composite and then output that to the Dazzle. Otherwise it involves a splitter...that or you cannot do it.

Madder - you up for some BC2 tonight?
