I hope GR gets released this year. I will still never forget playing the first two GRAW's on the PC. Nothing like seeing your buddy go running through the door inside a building, hearing a shotgun blast and then seeing him fly back out.

I should try some BC2 tonight...but as you said, if people are in MW2 I'll be joining that.
 
Good news, I should be up & recording our gameplay in a week or two.

That is not just for MW2. Now we can show all the crazy shit Mad does in BC2.
 
One problem you might have is that because Mad does some crazy crap all the time you might run out of space. At least theres never a dull moment with Mad though lol

Discussion: Where can the Wii go from here?


  • Nintendo can not make a Wii HD, due to HD not even being a reason why people bought the Wii. Also, developers are probly not even requesting a more powerful console just to handle "HD" games.
  • They can advance the motion technology through extra peripherals, not consoles.
  • There is nothing new & innovative that would attract customers to the "Wii 2", that current consoles do not already have.
  • They could easily update the interface/store/online features through firmware updates, not consoles.

Well now, 2 engines. I was wondering how they'd incorporate the frostbite engine since I knew they were going to be using it from day 1. I'm not too familiar with the U3 engine but hopefully it should be better than the COD5:WAW engine since that was pretty sad to see.

Edit: I also fell asleep last night shortly after posting I'd be on. I slept from like 8pm last night to roughly 8:40 am today. Apologies goes out to anybody that might have been waiting for me, my sinuses have been beating the piss out of me.

Okay...the PVR is here, just need to set it up. Now, what are the odds we can get Kefka to humiliate himself tonight and jump off a cliff in Afghan again in S&D tonight while I am watching? ;)

That's the highlight that you missed last night Madder. He wasn't even off the cliff yet and he was telling all of us to shut up.

Got it hooked up, but no sound yet...may have to hook it up to the PC to change that....oh, and my wife is going to kill me when she sees the setup.

I've found pre-emptive threats of death and destruction work quite well when I screw something up. On the other hand I also find great therapy in the hilarity that ensues when I admit to my screw ups to Hito. So far Hito is the Ninja Pirate Priest and keeps earning more feathers in his hat.
 
Capturing at 720p at the moment....it can do 1080i.....need to see if it is fully working though...must be something f-ed up with my receiver....or I am an idiot - take your pick. Audio is being captured through the PVR, but I am not hearing anything through my receiver....and it is definitely something on the receiver side since I do not get anything when I directly plug in my PS3 either. Trying to work this out....hopefully fixed before game time....if only Tritton wasn't so slow on getting stuff back to you this would be a moot point....

OR I have a bad digital cable.....f-me....need to see if I have one laying around elsewhere

It was a bad digital cable. I had 2 - 1 worked fine and the other did not. So, run to Wally World and we have it setup....just going to have to play with the video conversion...be on in 5

Do you know of any good video editing software. Also, do you know how to capture the voice chat audio?

How big was that 10 minute clip you uploaded to youtube?

Not sure on how big the video was. I loaded the 500MB file into Windows Movie Maker (Win 7) and let it go.

I may try to upload a HD (720) version after work.

You were right in that match last night, slight of hand would have been the better choice.
 
You kept running before the next grenade was halfway loaded, if you wait until it's loaded but before the full action you'll get away with a "partial" reload action. Goes for any weapon you use.

As for voice chat he'd probably have to have it streamed through his tv and not his headset.

I'm pretty much biting the bullet on an HDMI switcher and a wall mount for my plasma.

Now I just need 8 bucks of filler for FSSS on my switcher.

I also ordered some cables through Blue Jeans Cable Company since my switcher is only going to have my PC and XBOX on it for now, I ended up getting the F2 series HDMI cable and HDMI to DVI cable since I already have one working flawlessly on my PS3 and I like buying American. I may end up putting my PS3 on it but more than likely it won't, I just ran out of HDMI ports on my TV so it's going to be better this way anyway.

All of this should free up some of the clutter in my room and allow me to put my tv about 2 feet higher with full motion control, use my coffee table as my keyboard stand/work area and get the ball rolling on my eventual surround sound set up since I'm staring at a set of Speco DMS-3TS and SP-300 speakers that my cousin rescued from a chain resturant that should be able to fill the role of right and left front and rears leaving a center channel, sub and a receiver.

On game nights, we usually stick to GW. But if we go over 9 people, we screw around in a private match.

One way to find out, join up for tomorrow's game.
 
I'll be late tomorrow, but want to capture some....if we go private, maybe we can do a S&D...that way after Kefka, Madder, Snake, or someone else kills me I can get some good footage. That or maybe I can get Kefka suiciding off a cliff recorded. ;)

His receiver is the switcher. I'm sure his problem is a receiver with too few hdmi inputs. If he has a hd cable/sat box, 360, ps3, maybe a stand alone br player as well, and the rcvr is like mine and has 2 inputs he needs one. They work great. I had one but n longer need it since selling my 360.
