Modern Warfare 2 CAG Clan - Wednesday/Friday @ 7PST/10EST
Can't wait to gameshare the DLC. Way to stick it to Activision by only paying (at best) $3.00 bucks.
My thoughts exactly.

-----

Ha, did you guys actually think I would make a post without MOH:?:

...Apaches, and you will be behind the stick in an Apache. You'll be on ATV All-Terrain Vehicles.
-----

Peek and lean is something that has always been in Medal of Honour, and we'll keep that, so even though we're moving on into a new war, a new enemy, and a new warrior, there are certain things that will remain, independent of what the timeframe is and who the enemy is.
fuck you campers. This also hints at a more tactical/slow/team based multiplayer.

-----

...certain look, a certain movement style, certain weapons systems... At the Tier 1 level, they get to choose what they use... guys that we've had in here all have different likes and dislikes.... One guy will dress this way and use this system; another guy will do this; one guy will hold it this way or have a holster this way... It's been really, really cool, so we're getting the best of both worlds in the game.
Could this mean character customization for MP?

-----

Greg Goodrich, Executive Producer:
"It's going to be awesome," he says when we ask him about the game beyond the bounds of singleplayer, "and I'll say this up front - it has to have dedicated servers." Sean's passion for the topic is unmistakeable, and he goes on to make us feel very excited indeed about Medal of Honor's multiplayer.
The MP is being made by DICE (same guys behind BC2). So this could definitely be plausible, due to BC2.

And the newest addition of info:

The demo you showed was on PS3...
We're leading on PS3, we've developed the game on PS3.

...has that led to PS3 benefits?
We're working hard to deliver the exact same experience across all platforms. Obviously, every platform has a specific thing it does well. Some people like the Xbox Live community, some people like the PlayStation community. I think for me the most important thing is for everyone that plays Medal Of Honor is satisfied. I guess the benefit to the PS3 owner is that we're leading on it, so we'll maximise what that platform can do for our game.

What about PS3 Move?
We had a look at it, but we decided that it needed to have a meaningful application for us to use it - which it didn't this time. We rule out anything that risks feeling like a gimmick.

Its okay though, because Sony won't pay for exclusive content. If this gets HUGE like the CoD series, then Microsoft may have to secure some sort of exclusivity.
Gotta love when you die and then spawn right in-front of the guy that killed you.
Yeah...I think happened to me twice in a row in the video I posted from Wednesday. More frustrating is spawing and choosing to spawn near Madder only to find out he is taking you on a death ride on an ATV. :applause: Wait, wrong game...

Seriously though, BC2 is garnering more and more of my thoughts...especially after last night and figuring out a few things.....and watching Kefka try to repair a blown up vehicle for us to use.

As far as recording MICs, that shouldn't be an issue IF I ever get my Tritton back. Not going to throw out voice over the 7.1 in the basement but will gladly do that on the headphones.

Not to jump ship but how many CAG's play B-Company 2? multi player i mean. I LOVED the first Bad Company.

so when did the madder atv shit start? i was in a game with him and hito with no atv deaths. but i was the one driving. hah.

ill be free after my midterm saturday.
His receiver is the switcher. I'm sure his problem is a receiver with too few hdmi inputs. If he has a hd cable/sat box, 360, ps3, maybe a stand alone br player as well, and the rcvr is like mine and has 2 inputs he needs one. They work great. I had one but n longer need it since selling my 360.
No receiver yet. I'm giving my monitor to my mom once we set up her computer so I'll need to use my plasma as my monitor, I just happened to run out of HDMI inputs on the tv. Switcher is just a go between until I find a receiver I like that isn't retardedly complicated. I really am thinking about the Polk Audio Soundbar with a decent receiver and sub to pull off a relatively straight forward 7.1 set up without having to worry about where I'm going to put 7 speakers and a sub so I'll only have to place 2 instead.

After Hito mentioned it....then he was the only one alive between the 4 of us and I spawned on him....as his wingman on an atv that was gunned out about 10 seconds after I spawned.

It is probably better that than hearing Kefka say "Why aren't you alive? I need a spawn and the only one alive is Madder who is playing a cheap p*ssy sniper." I never say that because he rocks sniping...especially compared to me...and he's funny. :)

Heh, it's great that me + ATV always generates a good story or two. I'll be up for playing BC2 if somebody sends me an invite.

EDIT: Hopping on right now.

Mad, did you just buy a X360? Noticed your profile info.

I added my gamertag like 3 days ago but otherwise I've had a 360 since Amazon matched the Walmart $100 credit for an Arcade system. I really don't play live, I just have it for those niche games that won't be on PS3 like Operation Darkness, Spectral Force and so on.
So what's the verdict Kefka? is BC2 worth getting for me? Pros/Cons over MW2?
Only played about 3 hours of the MP, so I can not give you a final verdict. I will post back once I have sunk a few more hours/days into it.

Anybody up for some BC2 tomorrow?

ill chime in. heres some thoughts on it. but before you read further, everyone thinking about bfbc2 needs to watch the friendly and useful video:

pros
1. squad spawn.
tired of getting spawned camp? you can spawn on your living teammate.
2. great at knifing people? you get his/her dogtag for bragging rights
3. frostbite engine - destructible environments.
eg: say you're going to plant the bomb but the door is on the other side of the building, where you're likely to get sniped or die before you make it. Just grenade launch or c4 any part of the building. BAM!. instant door. if you're lucky, you could also kill the bastard that was camping in the corner waiting for you to enter the room.
4. frostbite engine - sounds. 7.1 dolby? it is significantly better than mw2.
5. vehicles - land (tanks, humvees, atvs) , air (helos including hinds and apaches), and sea
6. great class balance and differentiation: assault, medic, recon, and engineer. you need a good balance of everything. or just switch classes for next spawn. eg: there's no way a medic can take down a tank. Or a medic revives dead people.

cons
0. from a mw2 pov, its not mw2. if you like to lone wolf and have fast twitchy reflexes and ADHD to get your kills into killstreak, then bfbc is not for you.
1. squad have a max team member count of 4
2. only 3 game modes: rush/squad rush, conquest and team DM. the game really shines in rush/squad rush - attack or depend two objective points A and B. once the two are captured, then move onto the next two objective points. its great because the map feels fresh. youre not basically hiding in the same trashcan the entire match.
3. i hate snipers that don't move. some people are notorious for not moving. they stay close to the spawn point. whats the point of having these people in your squad if you can't benefit from spawn on them!
4. Leveling is extremely slow. this is only a negative from a mw2 pov.

7. lots of people playing. there's no worry of trying to find games. unfortunately, finding good teammates is another issue.
8. spot.
watch the video. encourages teamwork.

this is only a negative from a mw2 pov. there's no prestige to worry about.
5. no killstreaks rewards
the game is about team objectives, not individual kdr.
6. lack of good tutorial.
whats spotting? how do you good at flying apaches?
7. can't go prone

Right now, the biggest problem I'm seeing with BBC2 is teammates. You NEED to play with friends if you want to do well. Aside from that, the game is pretty damn good. The slower pace takes a little getting used to considering how much I've played MW2, but it's a nice change.

I just placed an order for B:BC2 (used) using the GS 39% sale. Should get it in about a week, but I will not be able to play until May. I just hope B:BC2 is decent.

Anyone up for some MW2 or BC2 tonight. Last night I'll be on for a week. Tomorrow is off to California. The state that wants to be the new Hawaii lol

Where you headed in CA?

Going to the LA region. Visiting some family and hopefully be able to check out some of of the neuro labs at UCLA. Probably not but its worth a try.

You flying out of Newark? I'd buy ya a beer if you're arriving back late enough.

javelin.jpg

Good night tonight. Pretty funny having the killstreak contest. O yeah Fred screw you and your javelin kills. I had to have a fail javelin to kill people lol :applause:
Yeah mad flying out of Newark. I hate the airport but its the better of the three lol I think I'll be coming back like 7 in the morning or so and I dont think a beer would be great. But then again in the words of my college Irish roommate "It's happy hour somewhere in the world" So in other words bust out the shots

Dude, if I'm busting out the shots, I might as well make a thermos full of strawberry margaritas. Now only to find a thermos big enough to get me in trouble. Maybe next time then, I usually work in the mornings or at least attempt vainly to wake up for a few hours if I don't have to work.

Yeah, I have seen that before. This is the "Gunit" he was talking about.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNk-znYOopM&feature=related

Completely fake, due to their team waiting at the flag for 4 seconds, even after they capped it. Along with their whole team running to the exact spot where he puts his harrier. And with his whole team waiting to spawn till they have C capped, so they all spawn at once in the small building.

-----

Still have faith in this tactic, but I have a few others up my sleeve.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyzT4cZlzvA

It will take tons of tries, due to needing 7 people to rush the flag.

the gun1t123 nuke video is fake, including the knife one. he admitted it on another show called camphutch. ill find the video...

Javelin shooting is half luck and half instinct. I'm not going to say there is no skill involved but you really want to shoot it about 15 seconds before the target actually gets there. It's so slow to load I also want to hang myself during the animation when you swap weapons so Slight of Hand may be a good thing to do.

madder - was not ignoring your request...well, I did...but was so wiped out from softball that after my PS3 updated & you guys were in a game, I played (poorly) 1 game of BFBC2 and went to bed. I concur that the javelin is painfully slow....like waiting for a fire to start in a rainstorm with no lightning.

NP, meng. Syn and I were having an upstate/downstate thing last night, that's about the only thing you missed. Nothing like a New York redneck to spruce up the day :)

Much love to Syn Gamer though, I know he gets frustrated but he's a great guy. It's funny, he'll be grumbling one minute and the next he's hitting off doubles with a Predator and then calling in a Harrier. If I did that every time I bitched and moaned, I'd be rocking. Every once in a while, when Noobkill is around, I end up with a nice streak but Syn is definitely more consistant than me.

I shall redeem NoKiLL tonight. No mercy shall be shown.

Anybody wanna play in 2 hours?

Mad, I expect to see your FIOS to show up.
