Modern Warfare 2 CAG Clan - Wednesday/Friday @ 7PST/10EST

after the server came back up, the games were seriously horrendous. Lots of OMA noob toobing going on in HCTDM. So few people were on that I could only find a lobby when the ping was 100+ ms. Talk about not fun lagging everyone.

Attempted spec ops high explosive and wetwork, 1 hour on each and still failed. Got down to 4 juggers on high explosive but ran out of ammo and flashbangs = death. Got to the last part of wetwork 3 times and seemed like me or my partner shot a damn explosive barrel or something.
 
Where's Nubbles :bow: to try and sell us on Metal of Horror now that KMart has a $25 gaming coupon with it? I'd post it in that thread too, but lost track of it. :whee:

Well, to be honest, everytime I go online no one is on. I end up playing random and always regret that decision. I reached a point a long time ago where CoD felt repetitive but playing with CAGs always ended up for hilarious moments. That's what kept it going. Take away the CAGs and you take away the incentive for me to play.

I hope, for everyone's sake, that Black Ops turns out decent. I'm definitely not going to pick it up (donations accepted though?). I have nothing against Treyarch as I'm sure they're a decent developer in their own right; but I'm so much against activision that I just can't bring myself to support such a shameless ploy to suck money out of people. MW2 was ok because at least Infinity Ward was still part of the process but now there's zero incentive at all.

Kaiser, I'm still game to finish those spec ops with you just let me know.

Hito should free up some time from brain school, Snake should stop touring Europe, Dye should stop making babies (in fact that statement is true for a lot of people on here apparently), and NoKill should stop WoW-ing. One last hurrah before we put down the game.

I've actually been pretty refreshed, although my mood is somewhat tempered by the lack of work going on(I've only worked maybe 10 hours this week).

You're also not allowed to use ANY car that has spinners on it, Fred, it's Gran Turismo 5, not Ghetto Trip 5.

I'm also gonna PM you my cell so you can send me a text because sometimes I just let my ADD get the better of me and spend hours just following "shinies." Most of the time I'm available, I'm just seriously distracted.

Strike in particular is fun to camp on because you know you're pissing people off, they start running up to try and kill you running into claymore after claymore after claymore while the sentry gun is eating up the same guy 4 times in a row... Yeah, I had too much fun on Strike.

I was the only one who scored positive k/d whenever they lost a match and there was a lot of people running around with Commando thinking they're awesome.

Thank you to Mad for helping me finish off Spec Ops. Got my Plat Trophy. Now I can focus more on killing random dudes on MP.

I dont know if I will be on Friday, due to a funeral.

With all the hype about the new patch for MAG, I've been thinking about picking it up. Anyone been playing this lately?
 
Hey Mad, sorry for not inviting you to play with me and my friends, but I'm not usually the one that host the party and we usually have 5 people and 2 more would have been 7...and we always play SnD unless we're going for something. They're usually on like around that time I was on last night.

Jax: I don't think much of Mag. The whole 10000 players is good, but the maps are so huge you don't have as much action as you would think you would have with a full match. Plus, the actual gunplay is not that great IMO.

P.S. I am with Pinoy, everytime I'm online nobody else seems to be on (though one time I was on when Mad was on, but I was playing something else then....) and I just play Randoms. As a matter of fact, I haven't popped in MW2 in maybe a week because it just feels dull to me these days. Can't wait for Black Ops, I need some fresh shooter blood.
 
Bump for Game Night! I got home late, got a phone call that told me basically the dinner wagon wasn't coming home and I should order food, so I just got done stuffing my face with some pizza.

I've got the house to myself and no calls set up for tomorrow, so I should be on relatively later if people want to play a little later.
 
Wow according to one website Slight of Hand Pro does not affect sniper rifles...... Black Ops seems to be getting better and better........
 
Aside from my two bouts of rage quitting, the last one of the night was not intentional, my power center proceeded to take a crap on me. I gotta email APC yet again and maybe they can trade me up to some newer model with a battery backup because I don't think I'll try another one of their C10 units at the rate this is going.

I'm glad Langdon, Skydive and Jax showed up, I'm just sorry I had technical issues. I moved it over to a dedicated outlet and hopefully that will take care of the issue but I have a feeling it's going to crap out on me again during the week.
 
damn I haven't played with you guys in forever. I got rid of MW2 (it bugged me and wasn't fun anymore). I'll definitely be back for Black Ops though so when that goes lives, I'll be down for more CAG games. :D

Still on the fence for MoH though.

I'll grant that it can be an easy mistake but for the rest of us, we know Toxic, we've played with him for what seems like 2 months now. Very nice guy, a little charcoal whiskey voiced for my taste but I'm sure that makes him all the more menacing as a Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino type of dude that I envision him to be. I find myself laughing at the thought of him calling you a zipperhead among other things quoted from that movie. It's an imagined expected response, he's too nice of a guy, but Mr. Walt Kowalski... now he was awesome.

When I'm at home my ADD really like gets the best of me. I can literally just waste hours on the Kmart topic with all the replies and such. I have like this need to satisfy the forum lurker inside me. It really is terrible, I have zero ability to not be distracted.

I've always been able to focus on gaming. It's one of the few things that I can do to literally beyond the point of exhaustion. I've done 36 hour gaming clips when I was younger(14-16ish), I've always been generally good at gaming. MW2 is really the first FPS I've played online against real people so it took some adjusting, but once I got the hang of it, liked my load out, I found my groove that changed over several Prestiges.

It's funny because my ADD manifests differently when I'm gaming. What is a weakness is turned into a strength because I can literally watch the whole screen rather than focus on one part. I can integrate what I'm hearing on simulated surround sound(which isn't horrible, but it's definitely not real) and apply it to an in game location. It's like uncanny to watch what I end up doing, as I don't think conventionally because my ADD tells me there is multiple routes to get were I want to go. It's really what made me a great flag runner in MW2. I do chase, somewhat, but even that has a particular style to it that Kefka identified interestingly enough. It's something that is better experienced than explained.

I agree the Kmart thread is killer almost like a backlog of videos games to play, expect everyday. I haven't been on lately and probably won't be on tonight unless I'm feeling spunky, but I'm trying to keep up with the fall release and looking forward to MOH next week. Probably won't play until the week of Black Ops to hone my skills before it releases.

And man were those some crappy hosts last night for TDM. I know I am rusty, but that crap makes me crave Black Ops w/dedicated servers. I hate to watch one killcam....I see the guy come out right in front of me and I knife him (my POV)...killcam...he comes out, takes two steps and pops me with his shotgun. Awesome.

The question for me becomes this - how did I end the TDM game on Bailout with a triple knife kill? I'm still confused on that one...unless their lag was worse than mine...and I was not running commando.

Looks like it is back to Dead Rising 2 and some more drill buckets until I get the urge for claymore violence again...thanks for putting up with me last night Mad & Jax....and Dykenom & Xyrus when you two joined us.

That only seems to happen when we have enough slots for random people to be complete asshats on Demo. I mean we planted the hardest bomb to plant on Derail and the little bastard kept circling through A to flank them at B instead of just heading to B to plant the bomb/defend the site.

We did have a set of crappy hosts and I haven't really been able to hit all my killstreaks like I used to. For some reason I seem to cap out at around 5, I got lucky a couple times and got up to 7, I'm going to have to keep plugging on since it's obvious my game play isn't as good as it used to be.

You probably caught them mid spaz attack, it almost looked like he was reloading right before you took out the guy on the stairs. I wish Nubbles would join us again for a last hurrah before Black Ops comes out, since he's all rusty and WoW'd out. Either way, I'm glad to play with you guys any day of the week.

As far as last night was concerned, part of that last night was the other team literally spawning directly behind us as we would run out of a spawn. You missed some humorous hate txt/voice chat last night mad, sleep is for the weak! People get sooooo angry. Im sort of looking forward to Black Ops, to see how people morph their bitchin' for the new game.

Going to get Black Ops at Kmart. Have it preordered at Gamestop, only because of the trade in bonus. I will end up canceling that preorder and saving at least $20 at Kmart.
