Modern Warfare 2 CAG Clan - Wednesday/Friday @ 7PST/10EST

Getting Fallout from Kmart since I have $30 in coupons...though Nebraska Furniture Mart is offering it for $29 on the day of release.....I'd get something else at KMart instead, but I already have a ginormous backlog of games I have not finished.

This is marking the end of my MW2 game nights I think...maybe one more if I have a free Friday night....otherwise I might be out until Black Ops unless I get bored or really feel the urge to noob tube someone. :)

Just locked in that price for Enslaved this morning and IGN just rated Vanquish an 8.5 which is pretty solid.

Dude, if NFM is offering Fallout for $29, pick me up a copy. That's $20 cheaper than I'd get it for at Kmart after coupons. I'm in no rush to play it but that's one price point you can't beat. If it's not feasible, let me know but oh my god, that would kick ass.

The only reason why I'm leaning towards a Friday is so Kaiser can show up. Saturday or Sunday could also be an option. I figure two weeks is enough of a window to get some feedback from you guys. Please let me know in advance so I can plan and adjust accordingly.

Glad to help keep people away and soak up bullets while you go for the nuke.

I'll try to get on for regular games nights as well but I think we should do one last MW2 night on the day before Black Ops comes out.

Problem with that is that is a Monday the 8th. The 5th, 6th and 7th are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I intend to be drunk for our party. I can't really get drunk AND stay up late on Monday.

I may not get this on launch day then, but friday of launch week, its on like Donkey Kong.

Black Ops comes out on Tuesday, the day before release is Monday... ie; no gaming for joo, diaper biznitch.
 
if anyone is going to be on right after it comes out at midnight i will be on like about 1230 as i get back from picking it up. And i will back on gaming nights on a more regular basis.

we got our high speed installed mon. its a welcome improvement over the dsl we previously had. i was on moh last night and could really notice the difference.

yeah, happy for ya buddy. i wasnt paying attention when i called in my harrier, but lucky for you they shot mine down and not yours. and when you (or anyone) is doing chopper gunner/ac130 they should call everyone back to support while you go for the nuke, so you get more kills instead of having to look for them spawning.

I still have to pop my nuke cherry, but doubt it since I have never (legitimately) gotten past a 20 streak, and that was cause I had a chopper gunner from a care package.

so thrilled in fact that they didnt even leave. but they were really bad players, as in, they were all double deaths to kills.

You guys should all be playing killzone 2 if you like 1st person shooters. Its the only original one and it is way more fun to play than mw2. It also looks way better even though it came out way before. Mw2 was the worst ps3 game i ever bought and i have over 30 games including my psn games.
 
Um autoaim in a 1st person shooter and unlimited computer kills for players? What kind of game can have a hardcore mode with autoaim? A really bad one that people only play for killstreaks. This game also lags worse than any other game i have ever played online and they give you basically unlimted noob tubes if you know what you are doing. At least in resistance 2 you didnt start with any nade launchers on your rifle and you had to pick them up from people that died. I tried to play a game a few weeks ago and i got hit with 3 satellite missles in less than 15 seconds. Then the computer killed me 2 more times in the next 10 seconds with other kill streaks. I basically walked about 10 yards and died 5 times. The worst thing about it was people weren't even aiming it was just killstreaks killing me. Now other games i have played i might have got spawn killed a couple of times in a row where someone was actually aiming at me but this game is just crazy broken and stupid.
 
Unlimited computer kills? What are you talking about? Are you talking about the non-AC/Apache vehicles? If a kill streak reward is killing you, switch classes and shoot it down. It's that simple, not rocket science. If you really don't like Killstreaks, and cant be bothered to switch classes to shoot down rewards... play barebones?

That's rich, though, a Killzone 2 multiplayer fan complaining about "spawn camping" in another game. Killzone 2 spawn deaths are the worst because 90% of the time there's nothing you can do about it other than spawn and instantly die.

If they let my Harrier get kills it wouldn't be too bad since I'd have a buffer and could wait a few moments to let them swap back but two Harriers in the air means they're going to start shooting down birds.

I wasn't too concerned about them finding me, as I was Cold Blooded the entire match, it was just more flanking them and not ending up in head to head fire fights of which there were at least 3 I should have lost.

KZ2 multiplayer is a joke. I cant stand it, and that is why I tried to start a boosting group of us CAG people for it, just to unlock alot of the upper tier classes and medals, but F it. Going to try to beat the Single Player part and then go for as many trophies as possible. I hate that the Multiplayer part is required to get the platinum, especially the having to place on the damn weekly leaderboards.

Guess you probably liked Army of Two as well. Note what thread you are in. If we were gung-ho on KZ2, we'd all be there. KZ2 couldn't hold my interest..and have fun playing online with all 12 people that are still on there. Same with Resistance 2.

Nothing wrong with those games per se, but a minuscule number of people are playing each.

Personally, I found nothing enlightening in KZ2...it was average at best and could not keep my interest. Resistance 2 was not as good as the original, though it did keep my interest until the end.
 
Who here is the IT/home networking expert? I seem to remember someone here helping others set up/ optimize their connections and home setups. Whoever you are, could I get some help? I have a DSL modem, router, iMac, Tivo and PS3; but can't seem to get the network set up. I'm clueless. And I might have screwed up my modem and/or internet settings. Any help would be appreciated. PM me.
 
Wow Mad got a nuke!?!?!?! That's crazy, I see that its time for iSeuss to come out of retirement and show the world that the riot shield is still a very viable weapon.... good Ole Saturday's if you know what I mean... nostalgic...

i've never done that challenge!The times I've gotten the Nuke,my team is in the lead by a margin.

Well, to be honest, it was our kills, our team was only 3 CAGs and 3 randoms. I still need to nuke on the losing side, though I doubt that's gonna happen.

Evil is more the tech-oriented one with actual experience. I just have some minor training that doesn't include Mac networking. DSL does not like sharing connections to PCs and PS3s though, for whatever reason, either the router didn't like it or my PC didn't like it. It looks like you may end up having a system that speaks Japanese to your California-ware.

We were leading, it was our team that went from 7100 to 7300, we were 3 randoms and us 3 CAGs. I still need to nuke on the losing side. I think I'll have to play with Johnsawesome for that though :lol:
 
Just got back from the concert. Awesome performances by Nickelback and Three Days Grace. Missed about half of Buckcherry's set but they sure put on a true rock show. I think I am deaf cause all I hear is ringing. Lots of hot pornstar looking chicks but my stupid camera died so I missed out on that opportunity.
 
I'm stepping out to do a service call and to go to Kmart, I hope to be back around 3 pm. Anybody available at that time would be awesome.

And on a cheapassgamer note, there is a redbox renting videogames thread for only $2 a night. Now that is a cheap was to find out if MoH is worth playing. Or Black Ops, Enslaved, etc...
 
bah sorry for not being able to join. I am in the seventh level of hell in terms of exams. I just learned I have 2 exams on the week that Black Ops drops so thats gonna be interesting. Also my tritton headset crapped out so I need to send them back. They should be back by black ops drops. But I definitely want in on a game before we move from mw2 to black ops. Hey you never know i might even prestige lol

so Amazon cancelled my Black Ops pre-order for no reason. They won't reissue the order and when I asked them about the $20 pre-order credit I should get, they said they would just issue it to my account immediately. I'm gonna wait to see if it ever shows up and then reorder.

2 weeks until it comes out and you think you will get your Tritton's back before then? While I like them and not wishing to rain on your parade, I will wish you luck because it took 4 weeks for me to get mine back. :(

Jax - guess I'd better check my pre-order....although I am now leaning towards canceling and going through KMart.
