Most Annoying Websites Ever?
I nominate this one. I used to go out for lunch and leave it on forcing someone to come turn off my browser.
Does a flash cartoon really count as a website, though?

My vote goes for the generic Geocities/Angelfire/Tripod/etc. sites that are made by people that have zero design skills. Hideous tiled backgrounds, clashing text, flashing images, MIDI music...

Actually, MIDI deserves its own special place in website hell. If I want to hear music, I can definitely do better than having my soundcard beep at me.

ebay

I have been a member for over 2 years and every time I want to do something out of "normal" I have to go to google and do this.

ebay.com how to retract bid

ebay.com how to end auction early.

They have the worst site for navagating, and the sad part is I will try to find it for half an hour before I finally turn to google for help.

Do you mean Myspace?

I second the myspace. One, all the emo fags on there bug me to begin with. And the people who have 6 music videos and a couple songs and 20 animated gifs start up when you go to it. Ugh.

They had a spot on Attack of the Show (God, I miss The Screensavers) making fun of all the awful myspace pages.

Care for a laugh? This excellent book,

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1904151035/002-0607068-4612866?v=glance

is all about web usabiliity. To illustrate usability issues, the authors describe redesign projects they have participated in. Yes, ebay is one of the projects.

I agree with you completely - it is incredibly difficult to find the information you need on ebay. Navigating through multiple pages to find something as important as filing a Non-Paying Bidder complaint is ridiculous.

That badgers song is in my head now. Thanks a lot.

Fourthed. Coincedentally, the only people who have Myspcae that I know fit the Myspace stereotype completely.

Although, there is one thing worse than Myspace. Numa Numa. :bomb:

They actually have live help which is really easy to use.

My Space. I really dislike it. I mean, I'm no better using Live Journal, but seriously. Everyone's all 'zomgg my life suxxx' and then there's the normal picture with you hair over your eyes and all black and white and weird.
