MS Live.com Search Cashback program - 25% Cashback @ eBay

fwacce

CAGiversary!
Already on every other board. Should be here as well.

just noticed this while doing a search on live.com for the wii... basically eBay is giving 35% off pretty much anything on their site (only Buy It Now w/ PayPal items) through a Microsoft CashBack program. this is huge... you can get up to $250 back. i just bought a roomba and got $100 off.

here's where i found the 35% off: http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=nintendo+wii&form=QBRE ... not sure if they have higher % off in other places?

here are the terms and conditions on eBay's site: http://pages.ebay.com/cashbackoffer/terms.html
looks like you can do this up to 3 times.
Would be a great use on a PS3 with some games. You can get up to $750 or so to get the maximum $250 back.
Claimed my money today, now I have to wait up to another 14 days...
I figured it'd just be an instant payment :(
Hopefully Paypal doesn't take a fee out of it on top of it
It has already been proved that they don't take a fee and that it may not take the full 14 days to receive it. I'm waiting for my payment too.

Now its at 5%. No wait now its at 0%. Oop changed again. This just in, for a limited time make a purchase on ebay using a cashback link and pay twice as much! Goddamn this thing, i have purchases to make, go up!

So Even if it shows that you got the cash back i wouldnt count on that cash until i have it in hand. It will remain in your account until you ask for it, then MSFT will void it and give you nothing..

glad i only used the service to order 1 mag

expect to see tons of class action and tons of people #$#$#$#$#

I believe that person used cashback for shoes from a camping store or something, not from ebay cashback. Ebay and MS specifically states the vendors rules (ebay) take precedence over MS rules and ebay cash back rules allow for resale. So I doubt we have anything to worry about.

Lame. I had to wait 60 days for the Pay Me button to show up, I put in all of my bank info., but the only option it gives me is PayPal, then it tells me they'll initiate the payment in 14 days. Wow.

dang it! I've been watching this like a hawk! Figures when I finally decide to get something, it drops down to this. I need it to hit 25% again, go go go!
now its at 8%! Go go down the hole!
The 5-10% is probably the range it should have been from the beginning... we're now spoiled. But yeah, from what it was this is kind of disappointing.

5-10% is what you can get any day of the week on many products by using cashback straight through the cashback site let alone using one of your super amazing ultra limited to 6 ebay purchases to save some money. It will go back up im sure. It really doesnt make a whole lot of sense otherwise, especially since nobody in their right mind is going to make a BIN purchase for thousands which is the only way you'd get close to the $200 maximum return. I mean yea its free money and thats great, but for less than 10%, a pitiful return which you THEN have to wait damn near 3 months to actually get it and hope theres no complications mid-way? Who gives a damn.
Has anyone actually started using Live as their search engine because of this deal?
Not really.. everything I found from their links was overpriced.

Also, the ebay link needs to go back up from 8% please~
Has anyone actually started using Live as their search engine because of this deal?
live search instead of goggle when doing random searches ? No

live cashback search comparing prices during online shopping sessions ? YES

And will be getting $325.00 within the next 60 days thanks to it

i had said pay me back and ms said they'd send the money to paypal in 14 days and.....

its been exactly two weeks and i haven't receieved any emails or notifications about it and no money in my paypal. frig. i just got an email saying it'll be there in 14 days. i'll give it a day or 2 before i go nuts at MS.

I didn't see that this had been posted yet but I wanted to tell you all that paypal does not take any fees out of this money. Mine went in this morning and it was the full amount. Now I just have to wait three days for it to be transferred into my account. I like the free money but the wait is a killer.

Put in for my Monies today. I like how you wait 60 Days to get it out of pending then another 14days to get it back. O well its $200 i will gladly like to have back.

can't get the 35% to show up now. been trying for 30mins. only thing i see is the 8% by searching "wii" anyone got any more luck?

The 35% offer died more than 2 months ago...

indeed, I got in at 35% and got my cashback a short while ago. Thought about using my third one for xbox, but luckily the price is dropping so I didn't lose out all that much
So I want to withdraw my money from the account, but it won't let me send it to anything other than via PayPal even though I have my checking account saved on there.

As others have stated, and I have seen first hand...the eBay promotion is only payable via Paypal, fee free.
I've used my 3 times, now I'm pending payment, it says it takes 14 days to deposit in my paypal account, I've got 7 days left then.
I can't get anything to come up under "shoes". And "cheap shoes" gives me the standard 8%. Care to explain a little better?

Edit: hmm...I see you edited your post. Guess that was BS then?

As I am wondering the same thing =]

so im looking to hopefully use this again somehow even though i have used up my 3 ebay transactios..

is there any way to use it again? has anyone been able to use this by creating a new ebay account/live account/ or paypal account?

i guess its been at 8% for a while now

and yea i used it back in the 25%/35% days.. i did eventually get all my money not that long ago

edit- i was reading the rules. i know it was originally 3 transactions but check out the rules below. Does this mean they allow up to 6 transactions or are they talking about something else?

You may receive Cashback Rewards for up to a maximum of six (6) Online Sessions per account on www.eBay.com. Once you have completed six (6) Online Sessions under any eBay.com account, you will no longer be eligible to receive Cashback Rewards for purchases made under such eBay.com account. If you have exceeded the limit of permitted Cashback Rewards, eBay will notify you on the purchase review page of the "Buy-It-Now" transaction process. Please review the purchase review page carefully before you commit to buy. Cashback Rewards can not be transferred or applied to multiple
