CAGiversary!
Well it all started one day when I got done playing some Symphony of the Night. For whatever reason as I went to insert it into its' case I flipped it over real quick. That's when I noticed scratches on the disc. These were no ordinary scratches, they were perfectly circular so I knew it had to be the pstwo that caused them.
So I thought it over and remembered that the last ps1 game I had played was Final Fantasy 7. I opened the case and slowly flipped the disc over and saw the same circular scratches. Both games still work but any value they would have had is gone.
Now the weird part is that this only happens to ps1 discs. It would probably do the same to a ps2 blue-bottom disc (since those are cd's also) but there's no way in hell I'm testing this theory with my only blue bottom ps2 disc which is Marvel vs Capcom 2.
Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know what could be causing it or have a fix for it?
I was thinking if I cut a circle out of an old instruction manual cover and put it on the little nubby that holds the discs, it might raise it up enough so whatever is scratching it is out of reach. Is there any danger in doing that?
