Thanks to Frisky for all of the hard work that he put in for the previous deals threads (and continues to on this thread!)

Feel free to post here about the newest Nintendo eShop deals, My Nintendo rewards and discussions about the previously mentioned items.

Since there are users in this thread sticking up for the price of switch 2, are you also sticking up for the fact that welcome tour is $9.99 and not just included with the system? Are you sticking up for the fact that breath of the wild Switch 2 version doesn't come with the DLC? What about the price of Super Mario party jamboree and Kirby being $20 more than the switch version?

I just vote with my wallet. The $500 console plus mario kart world seemed reasonable to me so I grabbed it. The welcome tour looks like something that is lame and should have been included with every console for free, so I won't buy it. The price of games will be on a case by case basis. Donkey Kong, I will probably end up spending close to MSRP on because I want something else that is new to play on my Switch 2. I already own Kirby, so I might buy the upgrade if I feel like going back to that on the Switch 2. It's just a case by case basis and voting with my wallet on if I think myself or someone in my family will enjoy something and I can find it at a price that seems "worth it". Metroid Prime 4 with all the development it has been through, I will probably wait to make sure it doesn't have issues and maybe look for a decent deal on it or a deal on Nintendo Space bucks to buy it digitally.

Costco usually has Nintendo money for 20% off once or twice a year, so if that continues, it'll help with digital purchases at least.

Rakuten pretty frequently (every few weeks) has Nintendo $50 codes at $45, so that's another good source for discounts
Same with newegg. If you don't mind there being some risk involved you can find them on gameflip frequently as well, and with the app installed it should give you a coupon every day or so that helps with the fees. Discounted eshop cards are pretty easy to find usually

For those interested in swtich upgrades who don't own the switch version, there's also still the switch vouchers. That might not make sense for BotW, since it just makes it the same price once you add the switch 2 upgrade, but it might make sense for TotK at $70 which becomes $50 and then the $10 upgrade pushes it to $60. There might be other games that the vouchers make for a tempting path.

Assuming it's added to the voucher program, that might be the best way to do Metroid Prime 4...

Question on the switch 2 controller: there’s no difference except for the two back buttons and the c button right? I already have 4 pro controllers and I don’t want to spend any more on the switch 2 if I don’t need to.

As of now, the Switch pro controllers will not wake the console from sleep mode so that might be an issue
