Yeah, I used to hate when that happened for my ending issues back in the day. Now with so few physical gaming publications left, you would think places like GI would realize someone might actually be collecting the magazine and enjoying the art, and not putting a expiration sticker on it to preserve the actual art.

I guess places stopped using those paper sleeves that cover the outside and could at least be removed. I'm pretty sure my Nintendo Powers back in the day would notify me that way, which was always best.

 
I am still waiting to see when I can order USF2 from Best Buy. It was listed at launch but then removed.

Probably because Capcom hasn't said anything other than sometime in 2017. A recent CapcomUnity post mentions that they mention a release date "at a later date"...

Oh, I know. I used to do physical with my subscriptions, but they kept on arriving in my mailbox crushed and damaged. So I switched over to digital a couple years back, and since then have enjoyed the convenience, interaction, and immersion of the in-app experience on tablets. I'm just disappointed that you can't save each issue as a PDF file for safe keeping, once your subscription lapses.

I am really excited that it's almost here. I plan on going to GS's midnight release to pick it up. Is Snipperclips a launch day digital release? That way I could have something to play with my Dad while he is getting his chemo session. It will make his day go by quicker.

I really want to go to the Switch event tomorrow... but a very large portion of that is the pins. I want that swag, man.

Can anyone confirm if they're still giving that out and/or whether they give it out on the general public day?

Well I throughly enjoyed it at the Switch event. Granted I haven't played a Bomberman since the Wii. I pre-ordered a physical copy in case this a limited run physical version.

The gameplay was fast and frantic as ever, especially towards the end of a round, when many of the intervening blocks had been blown away and it was a race to see who could trick the other person into stepping into a dangerous part of the map, while avoiding danger yourself.
The controls in Super Bomberman R are very simple, which makes them a great fit for the Switch's Joy-Con controller.

So again, I enjoyed it. I see myself playing this with my wife for hours.

From what I've gathered there's 50SP stages with bosses. So about as robust as a SP bomberman can get :whistle2:

8 stages were shown for Multiplayer (online and off) but they mentioned that you can unlock stages and characters.

There was also slots for 4 more in the vanilla MP modes and another panel for a potential 12 more stages.

Whether they're alternatives of the original or completely new we don't know. Point is up to 24 stages MP.

Plus a ton of unlockable vanity items and stuff like that.

As for gameplay, it's bomberman you either like it or you don't. 8 player online will be nuts though :D/

Anyone else order an extra set of joycons, a pro controller, AND a charging grip? Was thinking about about ordering a charging grip as part of the BB Visa Checkout promo since I need a $30 item to hit $100, but Im having a hard time talking myself into it. I rarely play games with friends that require three traditional controllers. I figure an extra set of joycons and a pro controller will be enough to cover bomberman, mario kart, and ARMS.

On the flip side it would be nice to have all my joycons attached to a grip while my Switch is docked.... :whistle2:k

Did you notice it running poorly? I had a bad experience at PAX. It wasn't running as smooth as the trailers were showing.

Hi, my friend was wondering if Switch will support 4k resolution and/or UHD features down the line?  Was there any mention about this or just the 720p/1080p standards from the press report? Thank you for any insights.

I had the same dilemma. Decided to pass. Got the games and a $15 best buy gift card. Got $22 of the whole order. I don't really play anything for longer than 2 hrs. Don't see the need for the charger.

Yeah, I was going to pair it up with Bomberman R and Puyo Puyo Tetris. If I pair those two with a $30 gc instead, I'll get $18 off with the promo. I guess GCU plus another $9 per game off isn't too bad.

It's Nintendo, so I'm going with no. They'll probably support 4k in about two more generations.

I bought a charging grip, extra joycons and a pro controller. I guess I just want to be able to offer my friends and family a comfortable controller to game on when the Joycons aren't enough. I always splurge at console launches.

No, it's from some idiot who kept posting negative reviews of Curb Your Enthusiasm DVDs on Amazon, and referring to Larry David as Larry Davis. I just thought it was really funny, and it works as a legit fake name too.

I found out about the other Larry Davis a couple of years ago.
