I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.
EDIT:this is all I got. The new stuff is listed on the top. If anyone else at TRU has anything to add let me know.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

EDIT 6:I found the master list which is essentially the green tag games merged with the 12/22 list. I did find some new games that will be part of the B&M sale on Monday but still no Psychonauts for Xbox.

some tru will not allow you to rebuy them. they stick them behind the counter and they sit there till the next day before they get placed back on the floor...... Man i dont know what to do ,.,... wait till thursday and see if it happens or go back Tomorrow with a master list....
 
Just tell them you heard from an employee at a store in another city/state. I seriously doubt all the TRU employees in the country know each other so that should work just fine. Situation solved.

half of the workers really dont care about the company anyways :)

went in last night to return one of the games i got for 25% off using a coupon.... 50 buck game came to like 37.50... took the game back person credits my credit card 50 bucks... I was like I only paid 37.50 for it... manager came out and said dont worry about it...

so i wonder how much TRU is going to lose this time with all those people using the 25% off coupon and returning for full price.... I mean i was in line for 20 mins trying to tell the workers they gave me back too much and they was trying to tell me they did it right...


i probally run over there tomorrow and Grab 2 more games (total 3) then go back thursday for the big guns...

all im going after is Golden sun 2 and that Sun is in your eyes game forget name lol

You probably mean Boktai 2 ;) I was thinking about getting that (still am), but a Boktai is coming out for the DS, so I might just wait for that one.

I'm just hoping that when I do a price adjustment I can salvage the few bucks from the $5 coupon. As my receipt goes, I got $2 off Pikmin 2 and $1.80 off RE4, but that discount will probably get adjusted out when they bust it down to 9.98. I will likely need to ask them to reapply that money, no clue if that'll work. And yes, I will still have spent over the $25 limit on the coupon since I got Bust-a-Move and Nanostray on there as well.
 
There were several RE4's in my area, a few Samurai Westerns, some other games, but not one Digital Devil Saga or Metal Slug 4 & 5.

That's against corporate policy. Try another TRU in the area.
 
I bought SMT Nocturne during the last green tag sale when they were 25% off and wasn't going to open until they hit 50% off. When they did, I took them to the broad at customer service and asked for a price adjustment. She said that she couldn't accomodate me. I said, "Fine, I wanna return them and rebuy them then". She rolled her eyes, hesitated, but did it.

I expect the same to happen this time, as well. I doubt that these will go through w/a hitch.

My TRU won't even allow me to do that. I asked if I could just rebuy it and she still said no.

I didn't ask about the price adjustment but I bought $400 worth of games (on my CC).

Will be interesting when I go in to get $300 knocked off the bill :)

I suspect I will just return them all and rebuy them.

This is obviously a YMMV thing. I asked the guy before I bought RE4 yesterday if I could come back if the price drops and get the money back and he said yes. Those of you that are being told no, I would get a manager and ask them the stores policy as I assume it is something that they are supposed to do. These clerks aren't exactly rocket scientists folks. Pull their punk card!

they might also be telling you no So people dont buy out all the games even before the sale starts.... What good is it to run a sale when every game is sold before it even starts

I've already checked the TRU in Times Square (Plenty of copies of Pikmin 2 + FF 1+2) + Northern Boulevard so that's why I asked about the Brooklyn one. I was mostly looking for RE4 + DDS but with the transit strike (didn't think it would actually happen) I'll just pick up what I can at Times Square. Oh wells, thanks anyway.

Oh and for those inquiring about DDS1, there is ONLY ONE edition, the deluxe one. It comes with a box to hold DDS1 and DDS2 as well as a soundtrack disc for DDS1. If anyone can pick me up a copy I'll REALLY appreicate it. Just PM me.

Regardless of store policy it'd be nice if they don't honor the price matches, level the playing field for those of us who only go when the sale is on.

not really, cause people did the same thing with the Best buy 5 buck sale
 
If they didn't do PMs, then the buyer could always say "I want my money back since I'm within the time limit," get a full refund, and then just buy them again. It would be illegal for the store to refuse a refund, and there's nothing stopping a buyer from re-buying the games. Unless they were just a stupendous jackass and the store evicted them from the premises before given a secondary chance.

There's very little defense here for people waiting for Thursday. I'll just chalk it up to luck on my part. If I gamble away my chance, then I hope people on here are willing to hook me up. If not, oh well.

Still sucks though.

Since the one TRU in Hawaii has insanely fast turnaround on just about every item they carry, I don't hold much hope for myself on this sale, no matter how awesome it is on paper. I might go check it out today just for giggles, however, it's really a pain to go back and PM stuff this week since so many people are on vacation and all the last minute xmas shoppers are out in force.

And I'd like some cheddar w/my wine thank you. :)
 
this question has been stated for liek 8 times and no one has answered yet (is this confirmed?) because from the whole tread i don't see anyone else can confirm that they are having this deal, i went to toysrus today and asked if they have a clearance sales soon and they said no. maybe they just dont know crap.. who knows

Its been confirmed by a number of TRU employees if you look up a bit in the last few pages.
 
TRu.com has had a Price Drop in theirr games to as low as $10.

The games on the website ARE NOT the same games from the TRu sale.

And you still have to pay shipping.

I spent close to $500 today and assume that I will be able to price adjust everything Thursday. I asked a couple of employees at both locations I went to and they said, for certain, that I could do a price adjust within 30 days with my receipt.
 
It looks like I'll be doing my first PM, since they had 1 copy of FF:1&2 left, I wasn't going to chance it still being there in 2 days.
 
Thanks for the list, I wish ToysRUs.com made it easier to search for cheap games. If you sort by lowest to highest price, you get games that are priced from $5.xx to $14.xx on the first page yet the 2nd page has more $5.xx games and $9.xx games

thx for the tip. i didn't buy early and take back to pm. so the price will take in affect at 8 am in the morning? or we have to wait till the store open sometimes after? because i've never got any of the deals from toys r us! and i need some help from u nice cagers! thx!

Price changes go into effect before opening on Thursday morning at 8am.

Hooray! I know this question maybe pertains to only like 3 people, but any employees work in TRUs that still use the ticket system? I was wondering if these games would be brought out and put next to the other $10 games or if they won't bother to move them?
 
with other games falling to 10 bucks online it makes the deal seem certain now... i probally run over tomorrow and pick up 4 games now instead of 2 tomorrow

My store had a handful of final fantasies, guess i better hit em up and return for a price match, otherwise ill just refund and rebuy it if they wont PM it. Im sure this has been asked but i see both yes and no. Has it beeen CONFIRMED the will PM on thursday?

My store still has the ticket system, but as worthless as the RZ people are, they won't change prices or put any signage up for at least two weeks. I've been riding them for weeks over other price changes and they still haven't changed them. I should just do it myself, which I did already for a few things still tagged GT.

I pickup Mario Party 4 (last copy) , Mario Party 5 (last copy), Metal Slug (GBA), Conker (XBPX), ROTTK X (PS2).

Employee: i won't buy any game till friday
me: don't tell me.... you wait for $9.99 deal
Employee: how did u know? you have a friend work here ... cuz all the games you get it'll $9.99 this week
Me: Smiles
Employee: I hide all the games i wanted.... so, you going get ur money back later this week!
Me: Yes..........thanks and left the store.

Also, they have Puzzle Fighter (GBA) $10 (last copy--out of Print)) and Final Fantasy Tactics (GBA) $10 (3 copies left)

Call your store and find out... it seems some places are refusing, most likely to high holiday traffic.

I'm planning on just going Thursday morning. I'm tempted to buy and PM now but waiting is my own way of limiting my purchase. 8 AM is mighty early for me though.
