Scalpers are selling Final Fantasy Type 0 HD Collector's Edition for $150 on ebay right now.  Price will increase when Square Enix sell out their CE.  I received my shipping email yesterday and it was scheduled to be delievered on 17th, but I just checked and it's only about 1 hour away from my house.  I think they will deliever it on monday. lol

 
I would just like to let you all know that I hate you all. I rebought the type 0 ce from squares store for $108 with tax. If it shows up on best buy I'll get it there and cancel or return this one. You all disgust me.

I got an order in at Amazon and GameStop. I really just want to go into GameStop and order it as Amazon sucks at shipping collectors Editions. Also does GameStop pre-orders give you release day guarantee on shipping? If not that is a huge disappointment too as I have never ordered anything off their website before.

The website always charges tax if you pay in trade credit. The varying-by-state aspect applies to stores only.

if you pay entirely in trade credit online you still pay taxes on it including also pay in full web order. Only Actual in store transactions dont charge tax when paid entirely in trade credit.

When ever you try to buy something with trade credit at GS.com you'll get charged tax.

 
Ok, I see the JPs OP, but does it matter if the item is New or Used in the store?

I know I got charged tax when paying in credit, but it may have been a GC that I used, not my balance.

The other day I used a $50 GS GC to buy a $50 AZ GC and there wasn't tax, but IDK if they normally tax GC at GS.

Pretty sure you only don't have to pay tax when you use the credits to pay in full AT the actual store and that's if you are in one of those states. You will be charged tax online no matter what. For GCs, there are never taxed unless it is not standard currency like them old Microsoft Points.

Some how I was charged tax in store a year or two ago. I'm thinking I paid with a GC (that the DM gave me) and it charged tax for the transaction (since the purchase of GCs are not taxed).

Does anyone know for certain if new items are taxed in store? (if you are in a state that doesn't normally pay tax on used stuff)

Retailer don't charge tax on GC because that's double taxing. The phone cards you are talking about are probably prepaid minutes card so you have to pay tax on it because you aren't using that card to buy anything but rather redeeming stuff. Think of it as digital contents in gaming which we are taxed.

No tax on New if pay with credit. I bought next gen consoles tax-free until my state passed the new law right before the X1 released.

hmm. It must have been because I paid with a GC then. Since GCs are not taxed when sold, they must be taxed when redeemed regardless of what is purchased (new/used).

hmm. It must have been because I paid with a GC then. Since GCs are not taxed when sold, they must be taxed when redeemed regardless of what is purchased (new/used).

So the best thing to do with a GS GC, is buy another GC to avoid being taxed on that money...which Is what I did last week.
