This is because it's an MMO and costs a monthly fee. There's no extra money to be made by SE for releasing great stuff with single player games, but they add in the dragon statue as an incentive so you'll be lured into playing the game and spending $15 every month on it in addition to the $130. And that statue is damn tempting. It's just like how they put a level cap on the 14-day trial, and the level cap happens to be the level at which you can upgrade your class. Then they put in Gold Saucer just to tempt you further.

SE is like that shady guy who laces his bud with crack and always wears sunglasses and two articles of head gear.

 
did anybody else order their Type 0 CE from Best buy for in store pickup? Does it get shipped to the store even though these are sold online only? Guess Im kinda paranoid about them canceling last minute lol.

I ordered mine for in-store pickup as well. I'm pretty sure you will have nothing to worry about considering it is only 2 days away from release.

It should get shopped to store. Honestly I'm not sure if the issues people had with ce in store in the past was due to online ship to store or just plain ship to store

If given the free shipping option I never select in-store pickup from Best Buy. Stickers and spiders scare me.
 
The time of the Christmas gaming release hangover is nearly over.   I'm so excited to be getting my Type-0 and Bloodborne limited editions in the next couple of weeks.  New releases are finally coming into full swing and the year of 2016 gaming is finally upon us.  I can't wait for the Phantom Pain, the new skyrim Zelda, Xenoblade X, possibly FF15 and all the other top notch gaming experiences we have to look forward to by the end of the year.

I like that there are two lists, one for alerts only and one where you can chat. I turned on notifications for the alerts only list, but I don't think I'd want a notification every time someone posts to chat. Plus I read all of the chat posts in this thread almost every day and try to help answer as many as I can.

Depend on how you see it, I pay $8 a month since i am a legacy member And I personally think it is a pretty good value compare to games like the Order. Some of the new games cost like $60 and it last like 5-6 hours?

But its a great game though. I have been subscribed nonstop since launch. Most weeks I play this more than I play actual new releases

 
Tera sounds familiar. Was that a freebie at BB a couple years ago? I want to say I had a collector's edition at some point in time? Though I have no idea where it is.

It might come back. I know most collector's editions don't come back for bestbuy but this one doesn't seem as limited (there was no limit on amazon) and the order 1886 one showed sold out online before coming back.

I know I'm off topic here but I need my fellow CAGers help here. My internet connection was down today and I recently found out that I can't continue my Xbox One game saves and some games I just can't play without an Internet connection. So my question is to the ps4 owners, is this the same situation for u if your internet connection is down. ?? Damn if I want to play a game offline on Xbox one I have to reinstall the damn disk offline. fucken dumb.

Probably should ask that in the PS4 thread. And mention the issue in the Xbox one thread, as I've never experienced it despite many outages.

I think it was free after BB coupon. I know I have Tabula Rasa guides, but I could have sworn there was a CE of tera at BB and some of us got the CE and some only got the regular version...Maybe it wasn't free to play at the time? I think it was early on in the gamers club.

 
if Best Buy is going to carry the MGS CE it will probably go up tomorrow (3/16) in the morning around 7am PST, that has been the pattern in the past for a couple of CEs like Type 0, Handsome Jack, Bloodborne LE, etc.

I'm sleeping in though, already got an order for the regular version @ $40 and i think the baby arm is weird.  rather buy a T2 replica arm for a bit more money.

yeah, it wasn't free to play when it first came out, and there was a gamers club coupon for it that made it free, when it went on sale. i still have mine

All my ps4 games worked fine without internet connection, so it's only Xbox One.

I've never had issues on Xbox One, and someone who plays with no Internet connection (spybreak) has never complained either. Odd.
 
Am I the only one who finds it mildly annoying that despite being a prime member (for several years now) Amazon is more frequently not getting me my CE's until Thursday of release week (those with Tuesday releases)?

It's more and more common for them to put up some generic "Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date" status in the order details as close as Thursday/Friday before release. Then when they finally update the status it's too late for release date delivery and they default me to 2nd day shipping because of my prime membership and don't ship the item until Tuesday so it doesn't arrive until Thursday.

This all happens despite preordering items months in advance---and I NEVER fool around with my order info (i.e. changing payment method or shipping speed as I know that come sometimes put you in the back of the queue).

Again, not the end of the world but it seems like this happens with almost every single CE that sells out before release now.

 
Just curious, is SE good or bad with address changes on preorders.

Going to be 100% moving before FFXIVs CE comes out, so I have no idea where to send it safely atm.

Gah, impatience killing me. My Type 0 CE is sitting at some UPS place within half an hour of my house but won't be delivered until tomorrow.

could always try calling that post office to see if you can pick it up at the post office ifself if it hasnt moved yet? i done it several times where the post office had a package i couldnt wait for and called early in the morning before deliveries went out and had them hold it then went down there and picked it up instead waiting for them to deliver it later that day
