Amazon sold out with a hour and gs within 2 or 3 hours and then gs also listed bundle for the LE and strategy guide and that listing sold out to. Supposedly you can do instore web orders while supplies last right now and also supposedly those are very Limited but there no sure answer on gs in store since there conflicting reports so your best bet is to call your local GameStop asap if you want it and ask about instore pre ordering
 
Jesus, people are going nuts over this. This isn't supposed to come out for a few months... I can't help but feel NoA might up the production numbers. 

 
I just pre-ordered Majora's Mask Limited in store Web order at Gamestop. As soon as I finished another person came in to do the same. Glad I saw this could be done before it was too late.
 
Knowing nintendo and this is a limited edition i don't think they will reprint lol... maybe a standard copy xD. Just like my vita LE's i wouldn't hold my breathe. People have been underestimating LE's lately. *cough* Kingdom hearts 2.5 Collectors Edition.

supposed to release this spring before summer which mean within the next 3 to 4 months so more then likely not since right now Nintendo will probably focus more on there amiibo supply problems since that more of a longer term investment for them

How are the two related? Marth's demand was post-release, meaning they'd initiate another production run and the logistics behind it. These are probably still in pre-production stages, so they could just up the production numbers since they haven't started making them and know the demand is there.

even if they make more for this price I actually want the statue I am not an asshole that buys 10 I want this to USE which may be a foreign concept here after reading this thread

They're related because they're both made by Nintendo who traditionally really does not care about its consumer base with regards to these things

 
Anyone have any luck getting SE to cancel their type-0 CE pre-orders? I sent the support email they suggested once BB started pre-orders but haven't received a response yet.

It took a few days but I emailed them after I got my Amazon order when they first went up there and they replied back asking for the order number. Sent a reply with it about an hour later and another hour after that I received a reply that they had cancelled it and I also got the cancellation Email right after that. Did you email pepita or SE?

When did BB start taking preorder for that? A cursory glance at their preorder page shows only that this game is "Coming Soon"

so this whole majora mask bs aside, whats the deal with FF type 0 @ BBY? Tried ordering the other day and it let me put it in cart but i couldn't finalize the sale for some reason. Now its 'coming soon' are they just totally sold out? Jeeze, whats with these friggin LE's for big release games selling out in friggin hours. This is ridiculous

 
Personally I think its nice to finally begin seeing some limited editions that are actually, ya know, limited.

That would be great if they were actually limited. I think most people are open to scalpers buying 2 at most but if SD is right and tey bought 10+, then it leads to all sorts of issues with timing etc.

I would guess that this first wave was Nintendo testing the waters. The Wind Waker LE sold out at least 3 times before the release date.

I was lucky enough to get FF Type-0 and the Majora's Mask Limited over the past couple days, but after reading through the MM thread and the amiibo thread i've realized that there will be something that I want that I will miss out on.  I can't be glued to my computer the whole day and considering things sell out in a few hours (or 40 mins...Rosalina...okay, it's not technically sold out, but I don't have it secured yet) and they are up for sale at random times, chances are I'm going to miss out on something.

I've accepted it.  It's going to happen so I'm going to enjoy all the stuff that I have gotten and will get.

Enough Zen.  Now just a word of advice, all of us here should know that Amazon will have this for sale again on release day for a short time before they are completely sold out.  People who preordered will get payments cancelled and all that will show up on release day.  It happened for the PS4, Bravely Default, Smash Bros Bundle, and I'm sure many other things.  Just be ready.  I can't say for sure if it happened at midnight eastern on release day, but maybe someone else can help confirm that.  I'm positive that the PS4 was up around 11pm eastern the day before release and stayed up for 1.5 hours.

I missed out at getting FF Type-0 CE for PS4 at Best Buy. I'm honestly not even upset. I figure if I'm patient enough, it will come back due to returns/cancelled orders just like the Smash Bundle (I didn't miss it but I was helping a friend get one too since I have GCU).

And really, people are lucky that Nintendo didn't make this one a Nintendo World exclusive like most of their past CE/LE. Most people here wouldn't even get a shot at buying the CE/LE.

I'll be honest and admit that I'm one of those people that has a problem. I don't go nuts and buy multiple copies of things, but I will buy games or accessories that I will never play to put on my shelf (mostly all amiibos). Having Mario Kart and Hyrule Warriors be Nintendo World only was kind of freeing. I knew that I had no chance to get it so I didn't worry about it. If other people here are like me having something be Nintendo World only, or EU only isn't as bad as something selling out on Amazon within a few hours.

You were able to add to cart, but the message it showed was that it was sold out. At least that's the message I got when I tried to finalize payment for the PS4 version. So I instead just ordered the X1 version. I believe the steelbook would be the same along with all the extras. I'm assuming just the outer box that holds the package together is the only difference.

That's what I found when I tried to order it from BB. I decided I'd rather have it on PS4 than XB1, so ordered it from SE. :bomb:

Since the past FFXIII games were better on PS3 than 360, I assumed the same with Type-0 with PS4 vs XB1.

Idk if you care about this but the value on Xbox stuff never matches Playstation value. Specially with Final Fantasy stuff. If you actually want to collect it though and enjoy the game then I doubt there's any real difference between the two.

I felt it cost too much to order from the SE store since they charge for shipping I believe? Plus the horror stories of the KH CE (though not sure Amazon for CE's is that much better). I do have an order in for the PS4 version at Amazon though and have credit, so I do have an order there. I prefer it for the PS4 as well. I might just sell off the X1 version (or at least the game).

Yea, I don't normally ever buy the Xbox versions. But the thing I wanted most is the steelbook for this. I felt the extras would be the same for both versions, so I just made the X1 order anyways because the GCU discount is nice. I'll think about what to do with each copy later.

But honestly, I don't even know if the game will be that valuable since it isn't a store exclusive and is also a port. Hopefully I'm wrong, but just like the Bravely Default CE, it was high at first and sold out everywhere, but then now you can pick it up new for almost the cost of the game+shipping+tax (if you are buying), or sell for very little profit after fees (if you are a seller).

Also looking at all of the FFXIII CE's (minus Lightning returns PS3 version which was SE exclusive) and FFX|X-2 HD CE (was a store exclusive even I believe), they can be had for cheaper than retail price.

It's my own fault for not ordering it from Amazon when it was available as well as from Best Buy, though for BB, I expected it to at least last though into the morning. If Best Buy becomes available again or has in-store ordering, I'll drop the SE order.

Their CS was responsive enough for correcting a ship-to ZIP code change, though I'm taking everyone's previous comments about them to heart if I have any issues at time of shipment and beyond.

 
So for FF Type 0 will they be taking in store orders or putting it back up? I tried checking in store today but no one there knows their ass from their elbow. It really is pathetic. I had to actually step in and help the customer the game employee was helping about xbox hardrives because the employee was giving wrong information and had no clue what he was talking about.

Im not very confident he knew what he was doing when he was checking on ordering this after that. It says 'coming soon' instead of sold out so i dont know what that really means. Can we order in store or not? If so, how? Because my BBY game employees are total derps.

yea but i dont own an X1 and have no intention of doing so. I own pretty much every system from NES era and up, but do not/will not own that one. They pissed me off way too much with the crap they tried to pull up to their launch. Plus, objectivly, its just pretty much inferior to the ps4 in every friggin way. Even that aside, if i suffered brain damage and decided to get one, I would still want this on PS4. As a few people have said thats where FF started between sony and MS and thats where id like to keep playing it

 
i just don't understand how they didn't announce best buy editions like a day or two before they just pop up and sell.

Chances are no, at least with Metaknight the employee said the online pre-order system was more or less the same as the in store one, and there's a low chance tat something sold out online would still be avaiable in store.

Because sometimes Nintendo lies and all the time Nintendo is imcompetant in their greed. The other theory is that Best Buy either managed to buy their way into some stock or are opening up a pre-order to get a demand # so they can go beg Nintendo for some.

I never said to get that version. I just stated that's what I did. Not like it matters because that version also seems sold out at BBY. But if you just wanted the extras like I did, that could have been a good way. If you are just planning to re-sell the package, then that's another story. And not sure if it is sold out when you check out, but the Square Enix store still shows it can be pre-ordered there as Shrike mentioned he did.

Also, you can just buy a standard copy if you really wanted to play it for that system. Your reply makes it sound like the only way to play on your preferred console is to get the CE. Yes it may cost extra or you may have to jump through hoops, but it isn't like you're out of luck and forced to pay crazy prices. You also seem to have anger for MS as if they did some terrible things to you like killing your dog. I'm not going to get into the console debate since it is all opinion, but inferior in every way is totally not true. Each have their strengths and weaknesses and I own almost every major system since the NES. So I'm not biased like many fanbois are. I'm a gaming fan, not a [insert gaming company here] fan.

 
Didn't get a chance to get in to a BB (forgot all about it actually) to get an X1 version.  Got all the other FF CEs for the 360, hopefully this'll turn up again.  Otherwise guess I'll just pick it up aftermarket when it drops in price as they always do.

 
So not to dredge up an older topic, but I haven't heard from Josh at Tri-Force in a while about the broken map markers from DAI Inquisitor's Edition, so I popped in to GS yesterday to ask about a store pre-order of MM:LE (there's something about waiting 15 minutes to be told "all sold out" that I love) and I asked them about if they were aware of how I can use them to handle the damaged pieces from my set.  They basically gave me blank stares and had no idea.  Is anyone making headway on getting replacements for broken pieces?
