Probably under 10 lbs. No idea if it is worth that much since I'll likely be picking it up when the vanilla version goes under $30.

 
Did anyone keep their power armor edition and pick it up? Mine is ready for pickup tomorrow at best buy and I can't decide if I should keep it or cancel and just go with the base game. Really wish there was another way to get that tricentennial steelbook because I think that's gonna go for $40+ by itself.
 


Here's the BFV steelbook. Over 100 at my store just like Fallout 76 so it will stick around for awhile. Price without game is $9.99.

With all the fiasco of servers going live early yesterday, my BB refused to budge when told that street had already been broken and GS was selling it. Ended up getting to play 9 hours early thanks to GS and BB lost a sale for their stubbornness. We even walked in there to ask if they still wouldn't budge on releasing it early, showing our purchased copies because we'd rather get the $12 off from GCU. They said nothing they could do and we walked out. Soon as GCU is up, I'm done with them.

  1. Buy the game from GameStop (already done).
  2. Buy the game from Best Buy whenever they allow you to do so and still enjoy the GCU discount.
  3. Return one of the copies of the game, the one that wasn't opened, to GameStop.
Of course if GS and BB don't sell the same version of the game (different barcodes) this won't work.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of you friend. GS has an exclusive sku this time (of course) because of the pack-in sticker. Whenever I do get around to BB to pick it up, I'm almost positive they won't match so no dice. That's why it irked me that they were unwilling to sell after SEEING THE GAME IN OUR HANDS and being told to their face they're losing a sale. It's like, are you guys really so stupid you can't call your DM and get a handle on things? GS had already told their employees to sell it as a memo before they even opened their stores. BB just dropped the ball hard by being grunts and doing w/e the POS says.

God forbid people doing their jobs didn't want to break the rules to cater specifically to you because you're the one customer they can't afford to lose. The level of entitlement is astounding.

 
GameStop breaking the street date by a few hours is irrelevant considering Best Buys POS wouldn't let them sell it to you no matter how much they want to keep your business. :shame:

 
GameStop also got permission from Bethesda from the sounds of it which is why they were able to break street date by 3 entire days.

After seeing this still being available at Best Buy and available (on PS4 and PC at least) I think I am cancelling my Power Armor edition as well. Just will pickup the regular version. I really want the steelbook and map but the helmet just looks much more plasticy than I was hoping and lol at the fake canvas bag.
 
Got my Power Armor edition today, and the impressions were right, it is light. The box is quite big, but not as big as I thought and it's really light considering the size.

In all of the images online the Eevee joycon is a fairly light color that blends nicely with the Pikachu one on the other side. In the videos I can find of the system in the wild/review ones though it looks much darker and not as nice.

Still trying to decide between that edition of the system and the Diablo 3 one from GameStop if anyone has that one and wants to comment on the quality.

Dont think the Lets Go Switch bundle is in stock anywhere... which may make your decision easier.

 
I got my Fallout 76 Steelbook in the mail. Pretty much wrecked in a bubble mailer. The backside is falling off.

I bought it w/o buying the game (yet). I should be able to exchange it yeah?

Got the BFV steel in a box mailer. All mint and its pretty nice looking. Nice gloss

I already have it pre-ordered from Best Buy. Had one of each the Eevee and Pikachu one, cancelled one of them so somebody else who wanted it could snag it but kept the Pikachu one.

That's weird. I received an email about a week ago that Best Buy was going to sell Fallout 76 at 8pm on 11/13. I called my store and asked if they were participating and if I could pick up my pre-ordered power armor edition then. They said yes to both and I was able to pick it up with no problem last night.

 
My power armor edition came in today. It's pretty neat. FYI if you're on the fence about keeping it, just open the bottom of the box and don't cut the circle tape. You can slide eveything out from the bottom cause it's a simple cardboard tab holding everything in. If you don't like it just put it back in the box and return it.

Understood, and that was the reason they gave which is a corporate issue. My expectation was to at least try to raise higher-ups at BB to see if anything could be done, because that's how things were handled when I worked at EB whenever street was broken. At the very least, the feedback of two lost sales should send a clear message that their current system isn't flexible enough to handle situations such as this.

That's correct, the issue was GS told their stores to sell it at open, a full 10 hours before that time because servers were already up and live.

Everyone may be entitled to their opinion, but you came here looking for some kind of validation of what you perceived to be a grave injustice and what most of us recognize is you were being unreasonable. So, the consensus would be that your opinion is irrational and is in fact "wrong".

 
Overpriced diorama. Megahouse only produces plastic figures. Granted, a big resin diorama could cost over $500 by itself.

Just return it. It's still in stock at Best Buy for free shipping. Shipping 10 lbs will end up being more than if they just bought it from Best Buy.

You might want to double check your order, when I cancelled my order for the Power Armor edition the steelbook changed from free to $10 in my order status page. I had to cancel it separately.

Somewhat related- does anyone know if you preorder a game with a free steelbook and return the game, do they require you to return the steelbook as well? Or will they just deduct the value of the steelbook from the return value?

This deal business is toxic as it is -- with resellers and people with a sense of entitlement. Glad to see more of some sense, decency, and decorum.

Actually, no one is entitled to an opinion. Everyone can "have" an opinion, since there's nothing to stop you from doing so, but you're not entitled to one. The only thing anyone is entitled to is provable facts.
