FAQ:
  • What is this thread? A massive collection of limited edition games & other attributing items, included with links.
  • Why put it all in one thread? More traffic due to collaborating interests.
  • Why is that important? This keeps the thread popular and doesn't risk a failed CE from falling through the cracks unnoticed.
  • What can be discussed here? Anything relevant to what is posted.
  • Why make another CE compilation? Karma.
  • Where are the big pictures? Still here, scroll down. Due to the increased number of CEs, a preface post is needed.
  • When is the Final Fantasy XVI CE? Not announced. Granted, IF it does, you can bet I will devote an entire page to it.
  • What about other CEs that have been announced? Give me a minute. It takes a bit of time to format the title, price, date, & retailer links in correctly.
  • What about the Book/Steelbook/Console/Misc. Picture Posts? I condensed the thread. Not necessary to include pictures for all those items. They will still be included in the Everything List post.

Reviews are saying metaphor is the pinnacle of all the previous Atlus games. It takes all the great things from past games and improves on them. This game is going to be a classic. I'd grab that CE now while you can.
While I'm glad to see Metaphor scoring so well, I know Atlus well enough at this point that I'll just wait for an expanded version to release next year and get its CE from Woot or something.

PS5 version sold out everywhere. Thanks all that recommended this prior, during the limited pre-order restock the last few weeks, I did pick it up while I had the chance based on that. Persona with less high school angst sounds great.

I never heard of this game until seeing the replies in this thread. You’re right, it does seem like a Persona game. And oddly enough, it just looks…. Weird to me. The trailer didn’t sell me on it unfortunately.

Everyone on the fence should DL the demo, it lets you play the beginning of the game and the save carries over to the full version. After hearing the battle theme I knew I needed the OST, so I went ahead and preordered the CE.

Hopefully it gets a good discount on Black Friday. As for the Sparking zero its definitely smaller than what people thought

here is the awesome ultra instinct mouth that should've been closed. honestly doesn't look bad since the figurine's small

Got an email from Play-Asia, looks like Asian Metaphor CEs won't be in-hand until October 23rd at the earliest, meaning they won't ship until later than that in October. Feel bad for anyone that went that route as their sole copy.

lol they just told me they had no idea when they were coming in. Was the Asian edition even available anywhere else? I am still playing through Infinite Wealth so it isn't a huge deal but still annoying.

If that CE gets a huge discount down the line just like the p3 reload CE I'd be a bit disappointed. I think it might have been Gamestop that sold it for under $50 I forget. Unlikely but still possible

As someone who bought so many Atlus CEs that ended up on Woot, I hope not but it wouldn't surprise me given my streak. P3 Reload CE was the first one I skipped and I'm still holding out it'll stay in stock to get better discounts. Looking back at how much I paid for the PS5 P5R CE when it was advertised as Atlus store exclusive and seeing how far it fell is eye watering.

I really do not see this CE lasting for a discount. This game is truly building momentum. I won’t be shocked if a special edition is with added items is announce in Jan/Feb. People are already speculating where this story goes in the next game.

The PS5 version of the metaphor CE is already sold out at every retailer but gamestop currently. There's always the chance there will be a restock in a couple weeks but i highly doubt it.

I'd like to think that if a game gets good reviews and sells well, the less they'll get restocked but nowadays u never know. Elden ring CE SOTE, tekken 8, armored core CE restocked or maybe that's just bandainamco. Wish Square nix FF gams CEs wouldn't be so rare (lookin at you Rebirth)

Folks need to stop buying games as an investment and stick to just buying games they want to play...
You should see my collection though. I have 2 pandemic editions sealed and in mint condition. Mint sealed juggernaug editions in both ps3 and xbox, portal neca guns. You name it, i probably got it, especially from the last decade.

So Unicorn Overlord PS5 Collector's Edition dropped to $69.99 at woot. The Xbox version was $54.99 but sold out. Trying to decide if I want to buy it now.

Did anyone here order this?

It mentions steelbook in the product description but I got mine in the mail today(honestly forgot I ordered it) and there was no steelbook. No nothing. Just a normal game with a label that says digital bonuses inside.

Anyone get a steelbook with theirs?

Never mind, appears they edited the listing after the fact.

Walmart is bad about messing up listings. They changed it a while back and the $40 one is the base game with DLC and there is a more expensive one with the steelbook and extras.

Just switch and ps5 got the deluxe edition. They like to skip xbox even though it gets the base game.

Yep. I switched to the Deluxe Editions after they made the change and cancelled my old order, but they still shipped the cancelled order and charged me for it anyway. So, it looks like I will have to return them once they arrive late next week.

NIS America has the Atelier Yumia Premium Box up for pre-order for Xbox/ps5/switch for $150 (Switch) or $160 (PS5/Xbox) + shipping (Can do pay in 4 for those who like to spread payments out)

Seems kind of crappy for $150... unless that artbook is like a 200 page hardcover artbook (which it's prob not).

The atelier Ryza 2 CE artbook they couldn’t even bother to translate to English for the US region release. It had a decent amount of text through its 60 or so pages. I doubt this will be much larger, and may or may not be comprehensible for its region. From the front, the book picture format looks very similar.

I stopped playing Atelier series when they decided it wasn’t worth an English dub anymore.

Agreed, where is the value in this? Especially when you compare its $160 price to something like the Y's X collector's edition at $105.

Give me a collector's edition with a nice art book and soundtrack at a reasonable price and I'd pre-order day 1. They can sell stuffed animals and plastic crap separately, but personally I'm not interested.

I do agree that a $90-$100 CE with a steelbook, artbook, and OST selection is the sweet spot IMO (Although I miss the good ol days where all that would be $75 - $85). I feel like this additional stuff is primarily from the Japanese fans, who gravitate towards stuff like acrylics and plushies.

amazon.fr is shipping the Life is Strange steelbook edition and they have it still for all platforms if gamestop isn't your jam. It's about $78 shipped.

It's an hour drive for me to get to a GS and they are notorious for not giving pre-order bonuses to online orders. I'd rather pay a few dollars more on an EU amazon than use them.

Yeah, seriously not worth the effort. Plus pretty sure all GS steelbooks look like shit because they're not individually wrapped.
