[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

The KDL26ML130 scanned at $175.xx even though the sticker on the TV still showed $699.99. I only saw the display model and didn't ask if they had any others in the back.

My 2 K-Marts have their shelves FULL of the :360: Halo 3 regular version.... for $59.99. ...and that is why they are still there.

The :ds: Tetris DS did scan at $10.00 but I didn't see that they had any in stock.

The workers at my closest Kmart don't seem to mind working there, especially since they do get first crack at the clearance and it seems like alot of the clearance tv's 'disappear'(probably to some back room/employee 'hold' area like Gamestop)before they even make it past the first couple of drops.

I went back to the closest Kmart today to return the other Net 10 phone I bought last week, since I figured I'd never use the damn thing. I should've kept it though, since it came with 5 hours of free air time right out of the box. I ended up picking up their only copy of Bust A Move Bash for $10, which I promptly flipped to Blockbuster for $23 in credit. I also price checked NBA 08 there, which was $5 @ another local Kmart, but it came up $39.99 at this store.

I saw numerous games marked on clearance that I didn't see there prior, including Stranglehold for PS3 for $20. I also saw 2 motorized and one manual Skip/Disc Dr's for $10 and $7 respectively. The manual one WAS hidden behind some game/entertainment shelves which are also on clearance.

I also re-checked the clearance tv today and the crack is still as big n obnoxious as I remembered from yesterday and the watermark is still worth more than a mere 10% off the damn price. Shame really, since I would buy the damn thing if the usual manager was in, since I think he would discount it more than 10%.
 
so i live in the middle of nowhere and have 2 kmarts that are likely to be unsearched. any suggestions on how to do this quickly? i see people posting that they have barcodes to scan but these kmarts have all the games behind locked glass. anyone that would be willing to help i could grab any deals that they are looking for. im also in management at blockbuster that would be more than willing to provide any helpful info to you guys if there's anything needed..a la trade in values etc.

1. Find the game your looking for at half.com
2. Copy the UPC number
3. Generate the bar code at upcdatabase.com
4. Print out bar code(s)
5. Scan them in Kmart (or Sears or wherever) at a price checker rather than dealing with getting the case open, annoying workers, etc.
6. ????????
7. Profit!
 
What I usually do is cut and paste the list of clearance games onto a word document and then check the last couple of posts for new stuff. Then shorten the list down to the stuff you want. If they are in the glass case, just ask if you could maybe rummage through it, the worst they could say is no.

Search for the game you're looking for the UPC # for on either Amazon or Half.com, then surf over to UPCDatabase.com and go to THIS page and enter it: http://www.upcdatabase.com/itemform.asp

It'll bring up an image of what the UPC barcode looks like, then simply cut and paste that to MS Word or something else where you can squeeze a bunch of them into. Print up the page after you have a bunch on it, then take the page into Kmart and scan at one of the scanners.

It may help to bring a second page with just a square cut out of it, so you can focus on just ONE barcode at a time.

I just fold the paper at the botom of each barcode, that way it is easier to carry and easier to scan.

Grabbed the last copies of Star Fox Command and Kirby Squeak Squad at my local K-Mart. They had plenty of copies of Halo 3 regular edition if that ever goes on clearance, but no CE or LE.
 
I checked my other local Kmart today for flippable games, but even though they had 2 whole rows of Wii titles buried behind 5-6 with the front cover facing out, they had none that were decent. I did notice that they also have a buttload of older Xbox and even a handful of GC games left in the back of the case.

So I have a KMart source that actually got me a copy of the price adjustments for the electronics section so i have available the list that shows everything on clearance and for how much if anyone needs this. I picked up two copies for bust-a-move for wii 10.00 (flipped for $23.00 each) and godfather for the wii for 10.00 (flipped for 16). Paid completely for my rock band 2 that comes out in two weeks. this kmart had a bunch of the clearance games but no halo 3 le. Just one question: the price sheet said there were a few items for a penny and it showed that they had some in stock. are they really a penny for these items?

Penny items are rarely sold to consumers unless your fortunate to have a person you know to hook you up in store. Usually penny items are pulled, sold with the sticker on the item or sold at the price given by the manager which is the original MSRP.

Star Fox Command was, like, the only clearance game my closest Kmart had. They've been good about pulling stuff and tagging it the last several months. I forget how much it was - $10 or $15 or something? I was just looking at it a few hours ago and completely forgot :lol:. They had NO copies of Halo 3, regular or CE.

Sorry I've been ignoring this thread recently, but it seemed all my local Kmarts started getting crappy a few months ago whereas before they used to be goldmines. Someone is jumping on stuff before I even know about it these days...

Anyway, I went in there for the first time in a long while because I had bought an Xbox 360 memory card just under 3 months ago and I finally decided it was a waste at $7 (since I really have no use for it). I was going to return it but I thought I might as well ask for a price check. It came up $3, and she said it was unusual, but she'd let me return/rebuy. So that was nice. I guess for $3 I can use it as a game save backup in case my Xbox ever bursts into flame or something ;). My quick trip back to Electronics after that, though, reminded me of why I don't bother going there any more. No Halo 3's, and only that Star Fox Command marked as a clearance game. My local Kmarts have been getting better and better about tagging stuff as clearance AND putting up HUGE yellow and white signs, so all of the friggin' soccer moms and hoarders beat me to the deals anymore.

That's why I rarely check this thread anymore, but all of the talk of clearance lcd tv's got me intrigued and wanting to scour the local 6 or so Kmarts I have, though the employees have assured me that any GOOD tv's make it out the door with them long before the public gets their crack.

So, I just have to hope that LCD and plasma prices come down the prices of standard def tv's sometime SOON. Otherwise, I don't think I'm going to bother with even trying to buy one.

Been busy with work + other obligations this weekend. I'll try my best to get what I can to you as soon as I can. I'm personaly waiting for OLEDs to come out, If i can find a cheap LCD/Plasma before then i will grab it, but I'm not gonna spend $1000+ for tech that is gonna get cheaper in afew months/years. I'm enough of a videophile to care.

The Kmart in Williamsburg didn't have much other than a ton of copies of a GBC Harry Potter game, but I did find a single copy of Geometry Wars Galaxies for $10.

The sheet i saw said to list $.01 items back at MSRP. I have no idea why. I guess if they dont sell for $5 they will at $50.

OLEDS are Organic Light Emiting Diodes, They are super cheap to produce form what i hear and they can coat almost anythign with them so you could build ahouse and coat a wall with them to make a huge TV!! you can also put them on A sheet of plastic and fold it then unfold it. I dont know much about them but I have heard that they are going into production TV's sometime soon. Price will probably be high so that they can maximize profit and still sell regular LEDS for a few years.

I saw something about OLED's the other day. If I remember right they said Sony has a OLED but it's really expensive. Sony showed an 11in model at CES but I think they said the pricetag would be around $1200!

I stopped by an out of the way Kmart today en route to one of the two slot casinos in my area and I found(but didn't buy):

Tony Hawk's Project 8(PS3) x2 $5
Bust A Move Bash(Wii) $15

If BAMB was $5 cheaper, I woulda bought it for a quick flip to Blockbuster for $23, but an $8 profit isn't enough imo. :razz:
 
So i got into the Bravia 26 inch lcd, actually i checked in one kmart and they sent me to another Kmart location that the system said they had 2 tv's, i get there and ask for it and they go like " we don't have any" basicly what they were saying was that one was on layaway and the other was the display tv. i ended up taking the display but does kmart system labels the display as 1 on the inventory? if any kmart employee here knows i would love to know too, thanks

PS: by the way this was the Bravia 26 inch kdm26ml300 for 175 usd the other 26 inch sony was ringing 599.99

They have them up under the electronics desk in my Kmart in a locked cabinet, so people won't steal them. I specifically asked if they had them someplace, since I didn't see one out with the display model that I found recently.

I'm definitely going to wait until Sept and see if the tv drops another 50% to like $80-85 then.
 
bit on the 26" bravia. It was worth it. Pretty good tv for High def, but the upscaling of standard def is pretty bad. It was the display, so I purchased the 1 year warranty. With tax and the warranty, I left paying $201, so I feel pretty good about it. Thanks to all for that find, it made my wife's day since that was a replacement TV for the bedroom ("her" TV).

It's far easier to get someone to answer here than it is to get an employee over to the electronics dept. at K-Mart.
 
In a tragic turn of events my K-Mart has done an overhaul in the electronics section. Not only were clearance games pulled and put in a basket but ALL the games were alphabetized. I still managed to get SSX Blur and Geometry Wars for Wii at $10 a piece. They had couple of other clearance games but nothing I didn't already have.

I was most interested in looking for Halo 3 CE and possibly finding one of the clearances TVs mentioned but I found none of these. They had some other misc. deals like 50 DVD R+ disc for $8 and some memory cards, but still nothing I needed.
 
I picked up the following games yesterday at my K-Mart on clearance:

Moto GP 2007 $5
College Hoops 2k7 $5
NBA Live 2007 $5
Shadowrun $10
Cabela's African Safari $5
Spiderman 3 $15
MLB 2k7 $5

I didn't have any of these games so it's been quite a good deal. They also had SC Double Agent for the 360 on clearance and it was $9.99. Is that game worth it?

I saw a few 2007 sports games and a copy of Project Sylpheed stuck in the glass cabinet in the far back corner behind the DS games on the bottom. Now, I think the sports games are out of the system but that was the only copy of P.S. that I could find. I bet one of the employees is waiting for the price drop too.
 
Anyone know what the RCA EZ105 Camcorders are going for now? Stopped at a KMart I never knew existed and saw it there with a $90 clearance sign under it. Last time I checked it was $30, but that was a while ago. Didn't have time that day. Saw it on my way out.
