[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Well, it only does say electronics under "Sears products purchased on Kmart registers" so technically K-mart electronics should be open game too. So as long as you don't get a stuck up cashier, you should be good.

Technic Beat is a music game where you move your character around on tiles to the beat, if I'm not mistaken. I know I have it around here somewhere. It was developed by Arika (Everblue 2 on PS2 and Endless Ocean on Wii) and released by Mastiff, which is a budget label, but I remember there was a buzz about this game back when it was released because a few of the hidden tunes are themes from Namco games - Dig Dug, Galaxian 3 and Sky Kid.

They already have trucks that make rounds between their stores and hubs/distribution center. I highly doubt that they spend anything extra on sending an additional 10-20 boxes in their scheduled shipments.

Technic Beat is an ok arcade rhythm game. I have it, and it is fun every now and then....got it a while back for like 3 bucks from ebgames. Worth the 1.00 I think, and if you have a dedicated 2nd player (I didn't), it could become quite a lot better.

I gotta check things out...probably in a few days after the reset. Familiar with Mastiff's "La Pucelle Tactics" and "Gurumin" and Arika's "Street Fighter Ex". If it's that cheap, definitely will give that a try.

I'm not sure about excitetruck... I want to wait for it to go down ($20 at my KM)...but it's one of those things where people will probably buy it for that price (snooze and you lose situation) and not a Wii game that involves a movie license at that price. So, I may want to pick it up.

But I could tell they are still resetting things and waiting for them to put the PSP stuff on sale.

That is a great deal for Tales of Legendia...wow! I bought VP2 also from K-Mart last year when it was $12.99 or so. I was so stoked because it went up in price (for the used) at GS and eBay prices were too expensive and of all places to find a new VP2...KM.

Went there today to see if the reset was completed and it was. Nothing major...same games that I reported but I did go back to get ExciteTruck for the Wii. No Technic Beat...but a lot of PS2 sports games and Harry Potter.

Did pick up a $25 pink 360 wireless controller and a $30 Halo one though.

Last 2 I've been to have the game glass cases behind the cashier now....both times the dudes let me browse but seems like they'll be even less likely to sell games now since its a pain to look for stuff.

This is actually an older setup, IIRC... there is one K-Mart here that has the games behind the cash register, but it's been like that forever.

And yes, it is a HUGE pain in the ass trying to browse the games on the bottom shelf that you have to go BEHIND the register to even see! I've never met a cashier that let me back there yet. Why even put games down there?!?

Today it was some manager dude, had a whirt shirt w/ tie - heard him talking to a red shirt about taking a break.
When I was checking out he came over and shook my hand and said thanks for the business and to contact him if i needed help anytime later.
Thought that was pretty funny.

My Kmart has all the newer games inside a glass clase and then all the clearanced out games are on the outside on a rack in plain view to the cashier.

Havent scored anything good lately @_@ they finally got rid of the 40+ copies of rumble roses for PS2.

This one even had all the clearance games behind locked glass. It wasn't behind the counter, but didn't help much. Took me about 20 mins to fish through them all. There 4 rows per shelf of games, 4 shelves total, and the rows were 25 games deep.

i love that setup. i went to one recent K and had a blast going through those shelves. it took me 40 minutes to go through just the ps2 section, JUST FOR PS2! you can tell they've been there so long that when you start to move the shelves, it'll take some force and most the time i end up taking them out of their casing, almost breaking them (the game holder pusher thingies). i didnt even touch the xbox360 and all the other ones. i know they'll still be there thats why. unfortunately though, this is a K that wont sell you any games that're out of the system. as much of a pain that is to see, i hate to go back sometimes. havent been there awhile but i'll wait til valkyrie profile 2 becomes $2.

battlefield 2 is on clearance... i've seen them at 3 k-marts for either 21.97, 9.97 or 12.97 but it is on clearance
