[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

I hit up a Kmart yesterday and found a couple of clearance DS games that others are getting for $5 (like Star Fox Command). They were all marked $15 but scanned $10. As usual, the drops are late around here. And once they come, someone snaps everything up in an instant.
 
Visited a Kmart in Central NJ, all games people are listing for $5 rang up $10 :(

Another Kmart 30 minutes away from there, still has the games listed for sticker price, I have YET To get a clearance game at this Kmart.

Oh, I'm definitely thankful. My Kmarts dried up fast when things were labeled correctly the past few months (I also have a tough time ever finding good clearance deals at my local Target). I was just welcoming the return to "normal." :D

Is it a mistake to pass on a $5 game, even if it seems like it'd be dumb? $5 is so cheap (less than eating out for lunch), so it's hard to say no. But I have bought so many $5 turds in the past that I never end up playing anyway. Maybe I am making a mistake. Or maybe I am just controlling myself more as time goes on.

Well, I end up not being able to say no to $5 games, then I have a large stack of $5 games I rarely (if ever) play. If I was smarter or had better control, I'd buy a $20 that I'd rather have than four $5 I had no interest in other than they were cheap. :)

On the flip side (literally), with deals like extra $15 for 3 PS3/360/Wii games at GS, you can get the endorphin fix of buying cheap games, play them for a little if you actually want to, then trade 'em to GS for at least a couple bucks profit.

Went to K-Mart today and John Woo's "Stranglehold" for the XBOX 360 is $1.00. It's marked at $10.00 but it rang up as $1.00. The manager said he bought it yesterday and it rang up as $10.00 but he figures it went down today.

The drops started on the 15th - normally stores have 7-10 days to mark them down before the system automatically does it. So if your store hasnt done it yet, just wait. Or find someone with a pricing gun and try and get them to do their PLCs. All $10 games should be $5 and all $15 games should be $10. Here's a decent list:

Since it's pretty old and was clearanced out over a year ago, it probably went OOS and then someone put it back in the system at the marked price.

Just came back from the Kmart in Coral Springs. Project Sylpheed was marked $15.00 but rang up for $5.00. Was actually at a different Kmart (in Pembroke Pines) yesterday & picked up Project Sylpheed for $10.00. Guess I need to return it & get my $10.00 back.

Anyone knows how that works? If I get a game for $10.00 at 1 Kmart store & try to return it (with receipt) to another Kmart store where the game is only $5.00, do I get $10.00 or $5.00 back? :whistle2:?

Also got Shadowrun for $5.00. Thanks for the info. :)

I would have asked for a price check but of course no one was anywhere in site...

Just remember if you buy this make sure the one you buy is the one with the font that has the black and white behind it (this is the fixed version), the version that is just full color is the version with the glitch in which you can't get past level 9.

They may give you a price adjustment although they aren't supposed to on clearance stuff. They will absolutely give you a full refund if you want it though.
 
I'm heading to local Kmart to return/rebuy a bunch of games I bought at another where the games were still at the $10 mark instead of $5.

Hopefully won't have too much trouble.

I'm pretty sure it listed at full price. Does Kmart clereance special edition system?
 
I picked up a copy of Timeshift for the hell of it today for $10. It wasn't marked, which is a shock since ALL of the Kmarts around by me were getting very good @ properly marking stuff.

The game got a 6.5 from Gamespot from what I remember, but for $10 I'll try just about ANY game and $10 is about the right price for a FPS for me, since I'll probably play it a week and stop playing soon after.
 
I was able to pricematch $137 worth of games today. Got $80 back. Woo

I looked around and grabbed a ps3 multitap (marked 9) and Kingdom Hearts 1 (marked 19.99). Both were out of system. Manager with pricegun said both were $4.99. i'm thinking they were lower than that, but i wanted them so paid the $10.

I'm assuming you mean the PS2 multitaps, right? They were $3.50 before they dropped out of the system($34.99 originally). I have two of them languishing on my TL, one of which I'm trying to offload with a PStwo slim that's new and three extra controllers(one of those is new too) in a big ass bundle for $100, plus shipping.

Cost after taxes for me was $3.71.....so shoot me a PM with your zip code and I'll take it to the PO tomorrow and get an exact amount for shipping. Tack on maybe a buck for the mailer at most. So, $4.71 plus shipping.

I just want them gone at this point.

I believe that sucker is over 13 oz by itself. So that means it gets pricey and it'll be at least $4.50 or something.

True. But judging from their location listed, they're only about 100 miles or so from me(I'm up in the northeastern corner of PA in Scranton), so it shouldn't be too long of a trek. Plus, I tend to use Parcel Post for anything that goes over the first class rate.

Either way, $8-9 for a multitap versus $35 is still a deal. The only way I could make it cheaper is if I'd take a loss on the multitap, but unfortunately I can't afford to do anything less than cost + shipping.

the single player was actually fun. Lame last boss, but still fun.

They're not with the normal game stuff, but against a wall marked clearance in the electronic department.

The Kmart in Mt. Pocono actually has a PS1 multitap still in one of their cases. I think I had them price check it one night and it was ringing up full price.

Are you talking about Baten Kaitos Origins? If so, I have a sealed copy of it that I picked up at K-Mart when it was ~20 dollars. I never got to play it, so if you're interested let me know and I could hook you up with it.

Anybody thought of picking up a Nano and holding on to it to see if there are subsequent drops? They are pretty reasonable right now, $130 for 8Gb, $99 for 4Gb. Picked up an 8GB today, thinking about returning it and picking up a 4 instead, just in case they don't allow a return-rebuy/match. I haven't had a problem with them doing that for a game, but $10 to $5 is a lot different than spending $100 and then they refuse. I can eat $5, but being stuck at $100 or $130 might be a little more difficult to swallow.

still $10 at my kmart, plus those that were getting "Project Sylpheed - $5" i'm still new to these deals, they had 2 in the case marked at 29.99 and rang up at that, i thought all clearance was system wide?

No its not bad at all and it is also $9.98 at Toys R Us... My only issue is with a tight budget due to a wedding coming very soon the lady will not see any light in my purchase of a game when I have 30 or so sitting now lol...
