[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

This is true of me too, since I haven't been buying games like crazy and further adding to my backlog by doing so. The way it is, I have more than 6 games waiting for me, assuming I ever get done playing GTA IV on and offline.

Some of those are good games(Uncharted), while some were considered stinkers by many(Conan) and some I just got so f'n frustrated on certain levels I quit playing them a while back and haven't gone back to(Mercenaries 2).

With Little Big Planet coming out next week, which I pre-ordered at Blockbuster with a shitton of credit I had, this is going to make my backlog even worse considering how time consuming the game is supposed to be.

I just wish my local stores would actually do the price updates as soon as they get them, so I could try and get ahead of my competition for deals and actually get something from the stores. Of course, it'd also be nice if I knew someone who worked at Kmart, so they could give me a heads up when the updates come in.

I think you would have to know the manager of electronics to get info on when the price drops hit, the local game store owner has 2 family members that work there, one even works in electronics, and people always beat him to the best deals.

In one of those K-Marts the lady at the electronics counter just refused to let me check what games they had behind 4 rows of newer Xbox 360 games. She said she wasn't allowed to keep the case open, she had to get a game close the case. I asked to speak to whomever I needed authorization to open the case. The manager came over, told her to open the case and left me there to look for games. The guy was very pissed at her because she had to page her 3 times after she had him paged and he had multiple customers come up to him asking for help in electronics.

The manager was really nice and he knew that I was looking for their clearance games. After strinking out on some price checks he suggested I try a K-Mart off the beaten path I had no idea was there.

When I left the store the alarms goes off. As I go back to the CS desk another lady sets off the alarm. She was buyin some DVDs and I was buying video games. The guy at the CS desk say to both of us, that person at the electronics counter never does her job....

Talked to the guy who runs the electronics and he said that he doesn't expect anymore clearance due to the Holidays coming up. I asked him if he has received word about the pallet that they get the day after Thanksgiving and he said that he's surprised because they haven't received any e-mail about it unlike previous years.

Nevertheless, still the same stuff there...I haven't see any FF:ROTSS for XB360...mainly for the Wii. most of the stuff left in our clearance now is Shrek and a lot of Dancing with the Stars and Singstar for PS2 for $5 I believe... I still saw Battle of the Bands for the Wii but I want that to drop to $10 before I buy it.

I checked Stranglehold tonight, STILL $10, but from the looks of the clerk when he checked it with the pricing gun I think there WAS an update.

He even said he 'didn't have access to that', so I'm thinking there may have been a pending drop listed in the RMU scanning gun.

That's what they used to do with 'check shelf label' stuff after it came up as such, so that's probably what happened there. Whatever the stickered price was, was what they would enter into the system for the games and considering that last year the order to properly mark stuff wasn't yet handed down, many clearance games stayed marked at normal MSRP until one of us came in there and grabbed them.

I've scanned copies in the past week and they came up $20, looks like it has to be a specific upc:

Today I found 2 more copies of Animal Crossing and one WarioWare DS at yet another K-Mart, all rang up original retail again.

So should we just assume that these former clearance, now repriced games will be sitting at their current prices indefinitely? That's really unfortunate if so, as all the ghetto stores in my area have finally gotten around to cleaning themselves up to the point where you can actually see what they've got without having to go diving in the case.

Parents, and late adopters to systems will pick them up and not knwo that they were $4 a year before. At my store we have alot of games that were marked back up to retail. alot of games dissapeared because someone was printing out the barcodes for the $5 clearance games that came up as **XBX game**, ect... and taping them to the back of other games and then taking them to the casheieer and so now most of the good games that are 6 months or more old are gone from one of my stores.

They'll probably sit there until the end of THIS gaming gen, since they didn't sell at the clearance price and were probably marked back up before they would've been shipped out/sent back. There's at least 2-3 Kmarts around here with original Xbox games that ring up at full stickered price, which WERE clearanced a LONG while ago and one store even has an ORIGINAL Playstation multitap.

For anyone wondering what store in my area has this, in case anyone wants to snap a photo since you never see such old shit still in a store almost a decade after the generation ended, it's the Mt. Pocono(Pennsylvania) store.

Nothing I scanned was $5 that was $10 from the last drop and some of the $10 games are full price now. Crush scanned for $19.99, Bee Movie 360 was $29.99, Shrek 360 was $29.99. Only thing I got was a PSP Battery Charger for $3.50 stickered with a $25.00 clearance tag

Looks like Kmart is getting geared up for the hoards of holiday shoppers that will be out on black friday and pay whatever they see on the sticker and think they are getting a deal

I remember seeing these at the local Kmart about 3 years ago on clearance They never did get really cheap they were about $30ish then disappeared like magic. They probably moved them to the Mt. Pocono store lol Even the infamous Mark of Kri sat around for awhile at $21 at this store then all of the sudden disappeared. Did it get shipped off or all of the sudden start selling? I always figured that stores around here will eventually sell (at least the good) games after enough time if it doesn't get clearanced but probably what they do is move a good chunk of this junk from low traffic stores to high traffic stores (or to the online warehouse) where they have more space for it to rot or try and sell it at clearance when and if these games get added to the clearance cycle.

I was at Kmart today and even the $20 section looked rather slimed down since my last visit about 3-4 weeks ago. I was thinking that they shipped out a chunk of it elsewhere or moved it somewhere else in the store that I didn't notice.

A couple of the stores here(including Mt. Pocono) have 2-5 copies of Mark Of Kri still languishing at $21, but the closest store to me seems to have an ever shrinking $19.99 and under section. I don't know if someone is picking it clean via buying the stuff, shoplifting it(they had a customer try and run out with a binload of clearance games last Christmas)or if they just shipped the crap off.

Either way, the one other local store is still a good spot for clearance games, since they have given up on the corporate edict to properly mark stuff.

That Mt Pocono store used to be a goldmine back about a year or two ago, then all of the sudden everything of value was gone. Haven't made a trip up there since. Not sure what was up with that store.

That it was, but I think many of the newbies who moved into that area from the city and other areas must have seen a few of the copied lists on Slick Deals or whatever and hoarded every damn thing. Even the Stroudsburg store was good for a while, but nowhere as good as one or two of the ones I hit a couple of years ago in the Allentown area when I was down that way.

They just had TONS of last gen stuff.

My local stores are still pretty good, but I missed out on a copy of Mercenaries for XBox at one of my closest stores, which a fellow CAG bought the one night we hit up 2-3 of the local stores.

Mine has a bunch of GBC accessory kits with a light and I think small case fron Interact. They were $9.99 for years, then were marked down to $4.00. I don't think they will sell for even $1.00.

Ya know ever since I got that HDDVD drive for $12, they have been making sure all clearance is in the clearance isle. Like I'll see Shadowrun for $15, and decide to wait till its five, and BAM its gone on the day it drops.
I've also noticed that as the supply of $5 games drop in kmart, the same games are found in large amounts at Gamestop. :/

Last year I found out about K-Mart Clearance because they put out a tub of clearance marked games, They were in no way great deals, but they were about half the price of the same game at Wal-Mart.

as for Mark of Kri, There were about 7 copies marked at $21 at my store but they magicly dissapeared about July.

battle of bands (wii), billy and mandy grim adventures and other Wii titles about as exciting as two mentioned.

did see a psp battery charger for $3, don't have a psp so not sure if that is a decent price or not; had about 5 left would be willing to ship at cost to fellow cags.

My local KMart is horrible. Dirty, disorganized, expired food. I used to avoid it for years until I starting finding clearance deals there, now I go on a weekly basis. I'll put up with how bad the store is to get Wii games for $5.00.
