[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

LOL, we just got a walmart here that is one of the few if not the only supercenter that closes at dark. It is right across from our worst K-Mart for deals. If anyone is looking for deals dont go to the southtown Fortwayne K-Mart, 2 reasons: !. They never drop prices, last time i was there all the 360 games were 59.99, I dont think they even know they are supposed to drop prices. 2. I heard like 5 Soulja Boy ringtones in the 10 minutes I was there... I felt like punching the owners of the phones!!

Actually the Target thread is kept very up to date thanks to Friend of Sonic. I wouldn't have mentioned it but he does a lot of work on it. For example, keeping the prices current and listing the DPCI numbers. I think the Sears one is updated once in awhile too.

Well another score at one of my local K-marts. I was a little worried due to the game cases finally being organized because that means the good/cheap games tend to disappear. However, the organization actually revealed a few gems that had been hidden from me on prior visits to this store. I ended up walking out with the following:

- Bomberman Land Touch DS $5
- Digimon: Digimon World DS $5
- Contact $3.49
- Elite Beat Agents x 2 $2.99 ea. (one is for my buddy spectreon)
- ATV Quad Frenzy $1.49 (This was one of those games with the new UPC sticker placed on the outside wrapping that showed up in stores last holiday season)
- FIFA 07 360 $2.99

All the games had $5 Yellow Clearance stickers, but fortunately for me the girl that checked me out had the hand scanner and gave me the system price. She could have easily charged $5 because the register said, "Check Shelf Label", but I'm guessing she actually knows how to do her job and help customers. So all I'm missing now from the recent K-Mart $5 drop is Godfather (Wii).

Let us know, yesterday I picked up Crush (psp) for $5. I scanned Elebits ($14.99) and the Timeshift UPC from my sheet ($10). All 3 of those were set for a $5 reduction but Crush was the only one that was lower. I think the clearance might have been selective this month.

Well, that's because your Kmart, like mine about 6 or so miles away sucks at doing the updates.

I mean, either there's an old guy working at the electronics at your store or one of the punk kids. None of them seem too enthusiastic to be there, as it's like pulling teeth to get a price check. If you say you don't want the game after they scan it, then watch out, you get the evil stare half the time.

At least the redheaded woman at the store by me seems to know wtf is going on.

So does anyone have a list of the latest $5 games that just/will drop. I know Zack & Wiki and Kabooki Cranium have been mentioned. Also I notice Battle of the Bands marked $10, so will this be hitting $5 too. I'll be hitting at least one K-Mart during the week so I will at least post if the three mentioned dropped.

Is Zack & Wiki a game that a 6 and 7 year old could play, or are the puzzles too difficult for that age group? My boys are getting a Wii for xmas and I'm wondering if this would be a good game to buy for them.

It's probably a little hard for that age group to play by themselves, but they would probably like playing through it with you. I highly recommend the game. My 5-year-old daughter loves to watch me play it, and my wife even likes to help try to solve the puzzles sometimes.

On another topic, has anyone here played kabooki? The reviews on amazon are pretty bad, but most of the reviewers there are not exactly gamers.

Maybe I'll pick up Z&W for me, then. Regarding Cranium - the review I read on IGN wasn't too positive. The main thing to note was that they said parts of it were frustrating to play due to the controls and overall it wasn't as fun as the real thing and offered nothing over the physical game. Seems pointless, but I've never played it in either form.

Don't count on Elebits dropping, at $14.99 it is not a clearance price. Now if it was $15.00...then yes it should drop. Clearance prices at Kmart tend to end in .00 lately, or at your oddball stores that have adopted the way Sears clearances, then they'll end in .97

I found out that Lude21 hit the one local store before me and the games came up as $10 each still.

So, suffice to say since we didn't have a drop this month that we know of, I think we're stuck in the holiday time freeze like last year.

I checked one as well and there were no drops there. They had a stranglehold for the 360 but it was $10. I was hoping Godfather and Wipeout Pulse would get to $5.

From what I understand we did have a drop but not everything that was on clearance dropped in price. Certain games did drop (like Crush which went from $10 to $5) but it seems as if a lot of games didn't drop further this month (October).

Here is what I noticed tonight. I was just going by the stickers but it seems like the drops are more selective.

NFL Tour (360) - $10
NCAA 08 (PS3) - $10 (I think it was football but it wasn't in my notes)
Battle of the Bands (Wii) - $10

All of the previous were on badhabit's list and all dropped $5.

Also, I scanned Timeshift - ps3 ($10), Godfather - 360 ($29.99???), and Stranglehold - 360 ($10). Old style psp wall battery chargers were $3. The only constant I've seen is Crush (psp) for $5.

A follow-up to my visit to Kmart: The bottom of the glass case is always stocked. Always. Things never seemed to move from that bottom shelf. Tonight, two, 40 GB ps3's and four PS2's are all that remains. Thats it. No DS's, no 360's... I asked if they had a sale or something, lady said 'no, people just came in and bought them... must be time for xmas shopping'. So in four days they almost sell out the entire bottom row, full of hardware??

I did find two copies of Shadowrun behind the glass... rang up $30! Wipeout Pulse still $10, Godfather still $10... I left in a daze.

I think you mean the Disc Doctor? Those things are horrible. You're better off going to Gamecrazy and having them resurface the games/movies/cd's you want for $2 each disc. I think they offer a special of 3 for $5 or something on resurfacing from time to time too.

Why do I say the thing is horrible? Well, since it's not a professional machine and since some of them are manually powered, it may or may not do an even job of resurfacing the items.

I've bought games before that had been redone with a Disc Doctor and it leaves a swirling pattern on the discs. The swirling pattern is actually worse to look at than a few scratches. Trust me on this.

They had one of the manual ones at my closest Kmart for $7 the last time I was there to check. They HAD a motorized one there as well at one point, but wanted $15-20 for it.

Unforunately the OP is sort of beyond updating at this point. I may have to move everything from that into the second post as archived data (in case someone comes across one of those games and it happens to have a tag and they can get an override of the "check shelf price" message). A bunch of the $15 games went to $10, including Def Jam Icon PS3, NFL On Tour PS3, and various 08 sports games.

A bunch of games went to 14.99.

A bunch of accessories are 90% off - the metal game centers are 4 and 5 bucks, along with some of the DS cases and the gaming backpacks.

Also, though the odds of finding one are about as good as hitting a lottery, the Sylvania 37" HDTVs that have the DVD player built in are down to $90 (90% off $899)
