[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

$5 is the old clearance price. Your store hasn't activated the PLC yet. 1 Cent is the next price in which the returns person must pull it off the shelf.

You can grab it take it up front and convince a cashier to sell it for a $1 or $2 once it drops to 1 cent. This may not work all the time though.

They used to sell games for a penny, I bought NSync for Gameboy Color for a penny about 5 years ago (which I didn't even bother playing and got rid of right away)

That is what I don't like about this $x.99 pricing. Splinter Cell Double Agent hit $9.99 and never got any lower.
 
Went to Kmart today, specifically to find College Hoops 2k8 for the ps3... Ended up finding it and grabbed it for $5...

But what the hell is up with Kmart having 90% of the games in the case Facing Forward so you cant see the damn names of the games that are behind the ones in the front???

Also is there a Consolidated list somewhere?? its tough going through 177 pages...

I think there was a decision to keep it separate to make it harder for the hoarders. I don't think it is working though.

I think it is though, since it took forever for the final copies of Stranglehold and Timeshift to disappear from my local Kmart and I was still able to snag some Wii games on clearance just before Christmas for $5 each.

However, I think the hoarders who were/are keeping track of this thread(and the Sears and Target ones from the lack of real clearance items there that I've seen)are doing just that and keeping a close eye on the newest posts on this thread.

That being said, I wonder if the new drops for January came into effect yet, since theres one item(a printer) that I'm holding off on buying until it reaches the magical 90% off mark. Right now, it's stuck at $19 or so.

Hopefully Timeshift will fall to $5 soon at this store.

Seeing as how I haven't actually opened either game yet and I have yet to finish Rise Of The Argonauts(Christmas present from my gf), Uncharted, Conan, Assassin's Creed, Mercenaries 2 and a couple other games, I may be putting them up on my TL SOON.

This is the only problem with finding really cheap games left at your stores, is that you figure 'for $5 I'll give it a shot' and 2-3 months later it's still sitting on your shelf since you've bought a half dozen other games SINCE then.

I haven't been by that yet. I do have a backlog (look at my sig), but that was mainly caused by B2G1 and the fact I got faulty PS3s my first 2 times, so my games built up. If you do put those up for trade though, LMK.

I can confirm $25.00 for Eye of Judgment bundle. Anyone know what the PlayStation Eye TIV is at GameStop? I already have an Eye but am considering the Judgment game.

They still have copies of Baten Kaitos Origins and Twilight Princess at one of the Kmart stores here and a further away one still has PS1 multitaps(the big ol boomerang lookin' ones).
 
My local store has 2 Eye of Judgments... I am thinking about snatching it up at $25, but CC has had it for $27 for about 3 weeks now and I didnt bite so I dont think I will this time... I wonder if it will drop even more...

Another thing for some strange reason when I was in Kmart today they had damn near every product in the store turned backwards with yellow paper hanging off the shelves?? Whats that all about??

every week they are suppose to....but management cares more about sears so it usually takes about 2-3 weeks. Also games are not their main priority so it may take them while. Basically there is no big rush to get the games, but some have been changed. If you have any questions on some of the prices i can check with a couple of people who i know work in kmart

Sometimes they leave it on the electronics counter here, for anyone to look at, its pretty funny. Unless I am seeing something different its printed on that old green and white dot matrix type paper. There was something printed on that paper there on the counter a few times and it was not an employee time sheet. I did read that the drops go into effect automatically after a certain amount of time so even if they don't add the new drops they will go into effect eventually.

There is never a worker at electronics and I rarely see floor workers. They obviously can't afford to give anyone else a job so that you know, they could split the workload a little.

It's pretty much the same at the Kmart closest to me except that if there's a guy at electronics or if they call someone over, it's always the same d-bag that cops an attitude, ignores you, and literally throws your credit card, etc., back at you. Needless to say, that combined with the fact that you might wait over 30 minutes for help there, I don't go there anymore. I'd rather pay more for a game than to go through that crap again. :roll:

Didn't see it in the list and I'm not about to sift through 178 pages of posts to see if someone else found it, but...

I just snagged Patapon PSP for $9.99 at my local K. Was marked 14.99, but rang for 9.99. They had a few other titles, but nothing I really wanted (especially since my PSP isn't actually here yet).

I've seen that guy at KMart, except he throws the game you just bought back at you. Literally. Scowling at you the whole time.
 
I'm new, and honestly I didn't even know Sears carried games still. I swung by one yesterday but didn't see anything, then tried another today. I went a little overboard. (p.s. if you live in san diego don't bother going to the location on university ave.)

2x Zoo Keeper, 2x Grabbed by Ghoulies, 2x Snood 2, SSX Tricky, Chronic(what)les of Narnia (XBOX+GBA), Big Mutha Truckers, ATV/Monter Truck Double Pack, Monster Bomber, Scurge Hive, Tomb Raider.

and for $4.97 each I got the buzz game for ps2, and a hd-dvd for 360.

I wanted to trade in the DS games, but I was a day late on the extra $5 credit coupon for DS games at gamestop. So Pissed. But I can at least trade Tomb Raider and that double pack for the $20 deal. I Love this site btw.

Oh, ya. It makes me think that K-Mart dosent allow their employees to use the restroom so they are clogged up with shit and can't function.
 
I've had a K-Mart giftcard sitting in my wallet for about a year. Every time I've gone to my nearest K-Mart they've had lousy selection & max prices...& horrible service. I went back there yesterday to discover they're closing that particular store & everything is 40% off. Must've started all that a while ago 'cause there was hardly anything left in the video game section AND everything was full price. I mean everything. They had PS1 games & PS1 accessories marked from $14-$40. All of these PS1 items had the neon green/yellow clearance price tags, but they were covered with bright, shiny new full-price stickers >.> So I just left.

I headed over the hill to the Valencia area & had the strangest experience at the K-Mart over there. The store was brightly lit, spic-n-span clean, everything in it's place, & a clerk actively working in the video game department. I had just entered the game aisle & hadn't looked at anything for more than 30 seconds when the guy asks if I need any help *jaw drops* I told him that I didn't need any help at the moment, but I will in a few minutes. He then quickly pointed out the sale items & told me where to find him when I needed anything. Later I asked if there was anything else on sale that wasn't readily visible & he immediately opened up the glass case, dug around in the back & pulled out the Eye of Judgement/camera bundle & pointed out it was on sale for $25!!

I must've entered an alternate dimension :shock: I have to call that store's manager & make an official "customer kudos" for that guy :applause:

If that store that was closing had Final Fantasy VII in their case as one of the PS1 games, then I would've snapped that up if I were you since it still goes for a good buck.

The one Kmart around here had a copy of it in the game case up until about 2 years ago here and the one other Kmart has a PS1 multitap still in the case and marked with a clearance tag. It's been there forever and it'll probably be there until doomsday.
 
Speaking of which, I was pretty shocked that last time I went to K-Mart they finally upgraded their ps2/gc/xbox display that barely worked with either rock band or guitar hero and some DS displays.

Needless to say, the games are dispersed in 3-4 areas within the electronics section. I don't get the rhyme or reason why that is, but it certainly makes it a "hunt" even WITH the stacks and stacks of games within the glass case. I did get a $5 zack and wiki last time I went, but that was several months ago.

Our Kmart still has a PS1 multitap as well, its marked at full price too, and just scans up as the regular price. They also had some GBC accessories, and they were full price as well, no discounts at all.
