[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Must be nice, I cant seem to get anything other than one word responses from the employees of the Kmarts near me. Seems they have absolutely no desire to help me whatsoever when I ask them questions so I just give up and look around for myself.

yeah man, every time i go i find nothin and i have been to like 4 in my area.
 
Damn. I went to the only Kmart in my area and found out that it doesn't even have a price checker machine anywhere in the store. So much for my sheet full of UPC barcodes.. Now I'll just bug the employees every time I need a price check until they invest in one :)

Well, when I found the items I bought, the actual price on the hook said "CLEARANCE" in caps just below the price. I wasn't really aware of this clearance, so I did a double take when I saw the $2.00 USB cables.
 
Just wanted to say thanks to kaydigi for posting the drops! Thanks to you I was able to score 2 of the Sony home theater systems. Incredible deal for only $30 each.
 
Does anyone have a UPC for any of the clearance printers? I've heard of the $16 Lexmark and the $10 HP, but can't find the UPCs anywhere.
 
Everytime I ask an employee to unlock the glass case, they stare at me in disbelief as if I'm asking them to turn water into wine. Then, when I do decide to take some stuff to the price scanners, they follow and watch me like I'm stealing a Mona Lisa or something. Well those are my experiences, anyway......

No luck with any of the TV's or Vision Cameras by me.

Lately, the Kmarts by me have been getting good at pricing stuff, which sucks since the the normal consumers will have a better shot the items. But some of the stores still leave tons of stuff unpriced or they only have those shelf tags on them and expect people to bend down to see what those things say.

Mind you, my local Kmarts are pretty barren for clearance games and other clearance items right now, so it doesn't matter one way or the other to me.

About the only thing I really wanted to try and find was that reissue of Optimus Prime from a while back that was $5 on clearance. I never had him as a kid(ended up with Rodimus Prime:roll:) and for $5 I'd definitely grab one.
 
I found a few of those Optimus Primes, during the 50% clearance toys sales. All of them had been ripped open, missing the dvds, comics, and 2 of the 3 were missing the hands and gun as well.
Sad day.

I know, it is terrible. You look at stuff in a store and people destroy the boxes, steal things, etc. I don't see why anyone would want to shop lift for something like that anyway, pay the money or leave it, it really isn't worth the potential consequences. Then, all of us who pay the money (regardless of the amount ;) ) or constantly watched and treated as criminals and don't do anything.

I will never forget, one time I was shopping in Wal-Mart for some groceries. I was back getting some milk and this was where they put all the bakery items that were expiring that day and they marked them down 30%. I'm grabbing my milk out of the cooler and some guy goes over to the rack, pushes down the corner of a donut box and then takes a donut out and leaves. The guy was dressed decently, didn't seem like he was too bad off and certainly could have been able to afford a donut, but he takes it out of the box and walks away eating it, I couldn't believe someone would do that in front of people.

It is scary sometimes when you see what our world is becoming :cry:
 
was able to pick up 2 flip videos, a black and pick for the girl. They're crappy video quality, but for $37 they are great for snowboarding and paintballing or anything else that I want to video but don't want to ruin my good camcorders.

They were the last two. I also checked on the TVs, none were in stock at my store on clearance.

Anytime I ask, they pay no attention. They just let me know that the price posted is the actual price. No matter how many times I ask them to scan it.

I just decided to print out a UPC sheet. It seemed much easier.

Did you scan it or did it say 72? if its just marked 72 have it scanned. Could be 15.
 
I went looking for a Flip camera but they didn't have them (maybe when I go shopping on vacation I will find one)

But did find the SO for $19. SO the trip was worth it
 
I picked up a Flip Camera for $37 the other day. Its a pretty good little camera. Good for shooting small videos and like snotrocket said, you don't destroy your good camera.

I scanned another American Idol Encore 2 for PS3 and instead of $4.00 it came up $37.00? Weird.

Also I know this is a long shot but if anyone is interested in trading/selling the xbox live camera bundle with a good 12 month subscription card I would be interested. I have a few things for trade. So PM me.
 
the KMart in Tallahassee has almost nothing in the electronics department!!!

I did get a GH3 bundle for ps3 for 7 bucks...the only clearanced item except Star Ocean for the 360.

You will have to wait for 2 more drops, since $72 is around the 50% off price so it should drop to $35 - $38 next drop and then $15 the drop after that.

Just like how the Rock Band Drums are still $8 at my local KMart instead of $3 so I have to wait for the next drop for them to go to $3.
 
I didn't see much on clearance, game wise. I did pick up:

PS3 USB cable pack $2
Nyko Wii power adapter $2
Xbox 360 Xbox Live Vision Camera $4 (plastic around camera is cracked,)

I thought it was a good price for USB cables. I don't have a Wii, but having an extra power adapter for that price is nice. I picked up the xbox camera to trade (I wonder if someone who has the 3 vol. of Batman TAS from the big lots sale would want it). I was thinking about one of the 360 cooler things for $2, but I haven't heard a lot of good about them. I'm still waiting for the Star Ocean First Departure to go under $20 somewhere. Kmart, Sears, BB, and amazon all have it for the same price.
 
My kmart is getting more weird.

First of all they seem to have removed all the clearance electronics again, except for the fact that there is a GBC power pack of some sort still sitting there, its still at full price btw. I didn't want anything they had left so yeah, pointless anyways. Someone else probably did though so I feel bad if they didn't get what they wanted before they moved it all.

The toys have tags that are lower priced then what the item comes up at. It looks like they finally brought out last X'mas's stash of toys, as these are clearly toys that were available last Xmas. Why they waited that long to bring out and clearance them is beyond me. I should clarify that these are things that I have not seen appear on Kmart's shelves since they were available at full retail last Xmas, its like they removed them then brought them back out. Weird.

Clothing is very low priced again, they had tons of womens shorts for $2 a pair. Needless to say I bought a pair for next summer. I'm not sure about the mens clothes but they were probably pretty cheap.
 
Which flip video is on clearance?

Is it the Ultra? If it is then I'm going back to the Kmart I was just at and getting it.

The girl opened the case and told me it was the ultra(it had no info other than a price tag of $150) and then I asked if it was still that price and she said yes without even checking.
 
Picked up the last copy of Star Ocean: The Last Hope at my K-Mart. Why are copies of Guitar Hero II still $29.99 when 3 and Aerosmith are clearanced???? wtf?

I hope to find a HDD one of these times but no luck yet. One K-Mart has new copies of Jade Cocoon and Shadow Madness for PS1 for $39.99 still, lol.

The men's clothes, at least, here, gets weird. Sometimes they'll drop to ridiculous price, then shoot back up some if you don't get them in that week or so. I've gotten really lucky with some .99 to $1.99 shirts there (as well as Boscov's and Bon-Ton that do some great clearances too.)

But like two months ago, my mom got my bro and I some shirts on clearance for $1.50 each (one was Halo 3 which was luck, as she knows nothing about gaming). I went back and the few left were marked up again to $3. I also checked the kid's clothes (I pick my nephew's stuff up for dirt cheap when they have it) and I saw one shirt that was tagged to $2.50 and then tagged over for $4.

Then again, I wear 29x30 and men's small so I usually find great clearance deals (although not much of a selection outside of that). My dad's a 34x30/Medium and my bro's a 38x30 XL/XXL... the clearance for them usually stinks.
 
Finally found a Kmart near me that still had a 120Gb 360 drive. I got myself way to excited though. Asked them to scan the price and bam ... $120 :cold: No wonder it was still around in that store.

The sticker on the shelf said $120 but was printed back at the beginning of May. Thought for sure it should have dropped since then.
 
I always look forward to the cheap clothing at the end of the summer. Lots of stuff for under $3. Sears usually has great deals as well. Last September I picked up a lot of shorts for 0.99 each that were originally 26 - 32 each

Bon ton is sucking right now for clearances, its not that cheap at all. Mens in Kmart at least over here doesn't seem to go as cheap as the women's. Mens will go down to like $4 max when women's will be like $1-2. This weekend alone I have gotten 1 $2 pair of shorts at Kmart and a pair of $3 jeans at Sears and a $3 pair of pajama bottoms. I would have had some $4 capris however it seems that Sears has been vanity sizing to the extreme because everything I tried on was 2 sizes too big. I bought quite a few articles of clothing from yard sales for 25 cents and 50 cents an item and I pretty much have a whole drawer full right now so it really doesn't matter how much I get from clearance sales but brand new never worn jeans for $3 are always a good pickup especially if they fit.

Sears has an extra 40% off clearance clothing right now for those that don't know.
 
I havent been able to find the Flip Ultra, the XBox Vision Bundle, the Xbox 120 HD, Rock Band SE, or any clearance TV's at my 2 local KMarts....I failed.

If anyone wants to pick up an extra Flip Ultra I will gladly buy it off them =)

Lexmark X2600m is $16, there is another HP, but I do not the model as of now.

I can't find either game at my Kmart. It does seem a little odd they are still at the same price, they must be planning to keep them there until they sell, or possibly take them back up to full price once the Wii is replaced ;) . I can't really find these games anywhere, I managed to find Night's at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago, but it was still $19.xx and Cranium at Sear's Saturday, but still $19.xx. So, hopefully they will show up sometime.

was the tv out on display? just wondering cause I have had no look visiting a bazillion kmarts, checking system inventory (which has almost always been wrong).. etc finding any of these friggin tvs

Nope, good call. It was buried in the back room after having been reboxed. Why? Don't know, don't care...but I did my research, and found an honest K-Mart employee who found it and sold it to me. At the time, I paid $350 plus tax (they hadn't enacted the clearance at that store yet), but on the way home, I had the adjustment made at another KM on my way.

Believe me: I had to research hard for it (the inventory of a local KM said that they had *3* of them, but it was a lie), and when I finally found the only KM in the Detroit area with one of them, I committed the cardinal sin and called first, as the KM was a good hour from my home, and I didn't want to drive all that way for no reason. Thankfully, it worked out for me.

At this point, my best advice to you would be to wait for a new drop to hit, and then start investigating from there. *Definitely* ask employees to do local searches for you...and if you think you're running into a lazy/twitly employee, find another one. Had I listened to the first guy who "helped" me, I wouldn't have found the plasma I'm watching right now.

yeh! i went through the same thing.. found some honest employees here and there... unfortunately just had no luck... lately tho ive been lazy when i pass a kmart n do just drop in to check the displays real quick (the employees take forever sometimes).. i guess i should try a little harder bout making sure to check the back still.. and dont worry about calling.. in this case it makes a lot of sense if the place is more then 20min away... i actually missed the 37inch olevia cause i didnt call, waited till the next day after work to stop by a sorta far kmart that i found out had 1 in stock (late that night b4 at my local store), and an employee bought it that morning. The manager told me i should of called so he could hold it for me, he seemed honest enough since hes the one who also told me who bought it.

appreciate the feedback! im in no rush for a tv so mayb ill snag one of these crazy deals eventually... but the samsung sick find! congrats man
 
Does anyone know the model numbers on the TV and Home Theaters? I was searching the thread and I must be missing it...
 
I found one 512 mb xbox 360 memory card for $5. Also found the 120 gb HDD it was $37 but I got it anyway.

Semi off topic but i found 1 gb pny micro attaché USB drives for $1.50. I'm going to keep one in my wallet. ^__^
