[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them (and they don't have restickered UPCs - see point 3 below) they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: http://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way). What we are currently missing is a good list of accessories. I have added a few that I know about. We need more info on these (and there must be more to uncover).

In general, I'm sticking with ShiningSlade's method of listing games. However, there are a few changes. Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Is the cheapo CoD2 the GOTY edition or the old regular version? I assume the regular.... I'll have to look up the UPC and print them out to scan myself. Kmart employees are the worst IF you can actually find them.

Also for the person who scanned the players choice Saints Row it was the normal version that was $20? at my store. I almost bought it since I only finished the main mission and none of the sides when I had it from gamefly.
 
Rogue galaxy for only $14? Is this universal or ymmv. How much for the tales game? I don't -need- any more games, but I can't really refuse those prices.
 
I went in today, but nobody ever showed up to the electronics area. Ended up picking up some silverware, dishes, etc. They have a TV stand for up to 36" TV's for $20 (Acadia I think is the manufacturer). It isn't a cheap looking stand like the typical Wal Mart TV cart, as it has a glass shelf in the middle and oak finish. I believe regular price was $79.

I'd hate to say turn this into a SD kind of thread or something, but there is really a TON of stuff other than games there. The patio furniture was marked down hundreds of dollars as well. I'm probably going back later in the week for more house stuff due to moving next weekend, but I wish I could go through all of the backroom backstock as well.

If you're in the market for a gun, it may be worth checking out their gun case to see if anything is on clearance. You could end up scoring a Mossberg on the cheap, but I believe those markdowns depend on the store manager/district manager. Flame me if you want for it, but who wouldn't like getting a Mossberg on the cheap.. just don't go play real-life Doom or anything with it.

The technical term for those hired janitors would be call "Cleaners" :whistle2:# lol

Bust as far as Disgaea 1&2 go they are stand alone games from each other with references to each other and one main character from the first one being a big part in the second one... But you do not need to play the first one to enjoy the second one and actually if you never have played the first one you might actually enjoy the second one more.. It was one of those cases where people set the bar so high because it shared the same name as one of the best SRPG's of the PS2 Era.. Me personally I liked em both im a NIS america junky and also a SRPG lover lol so it worked out perfect..

So play it and enjoy it and soon you will be hooked on the digital crack the NIS SRPG's are and you will be out looking for the other titles...

I just went to one of my 4 local K-Marts here in Erie, PA...the 30% off clearance is still going on here...here's what I got, all on 360:

Far Cry $14.00
Phantasy Star $10.50
Gun $14.00
Just Cause $17.50
Kameo $10.50


The thing is, none of these were priced as such...and I had to ask the guy twice if he would scan them in for me (this store apparently doesn't have self scan...at least not that I could find) because he was absolutely sure the price stickers were current and correct.
 
Wow 30% Disgea 2...awsome on that. I have to go out and get that today!

Was the 30% signs all over the stuff like late July or is it just in the computer?

Went to KMart, convinced the clerk to open the case since she thought all games were visible, found the only Dead Rising (it was even not a Platinum Hits), asked if she could tell me the price and she quoted the 59.99 price sticker, convinced her to scan it and . . . 29.99. Ugh! She was like "It's half off!" She was shocked that I didn't think that wa amazing and couldn't comprehend that is was MSRP on a game that's been out for a couple years. I know KMart is YMMV, but I've been looking for a deal on that one forever. Back to looking. My KMart did have the 30% banners everywhere and 50% off clothes as well.

Checked also for Dead Rising no deal here. The banners I saw were 50% off clothes and 30% off bed/linens. with a few others thrown in specific sections. Electronics area was not one of them. They also raised the clearance price on the gamer remotes I noticed, were 5 previous now back at 15.
 
I noticed some 50% off clothing banners outside my kmart. Didnt really bother to stop by, its pretty much dried up, a few faceplates left and some stickered games, but thats about it.
 
I have a friend who works at K-Mart here in Missouri and he showed me the list of electronics items getting price adjusted for clearance. There were 310 total items on the list including plenty of video games. They had Lexmark printers going for $17.00 and 1019 memory cards for the cube for $3.00. I got Rouge Galaxy for $14 and some soccer game for the PS2 for $2.10. NHL 06 was a ripoff for $2.10 (worth about 21 cents). :cool:
 
My still sealed, $40 copy of Rogue Galaxy is laughing it's ass off at me right now. Stupid game... shut your mouth or I'll feed you to the 360.
 
Ive been to 4 Kmarts so far looking for Animal Crossing no dice so far. Got one of the Xbox 360 Gold kits with 12months and Bankshot billiards for 8 dollars. Wish i had gotten the other one

That and the $80(?) Forza Xbox bundle are about the onl things I haven't seen at Kmarts... :cry:

Picked up Lemmings PSP for 10.50 at the Kmart on Euclid / Katella in the OC, they hard a large number of the already named 360 games, except for Table Tennis and the fighting robot one... Should be easy pickings for someone interested.

So the DS one is $9? Or would it be even cheaper because of the 50% off? I remember seeing a ton at my kmart last time!
 
OK, so I'm getting requests to update the OP. The problem I have with that is a lot of the prices being reported include the extra 30% off and clearly I don't want to include that as it is not the real price. I see very little of people indicating whether the prices were with 30% off or not. I will update any prices that clearly indicate they are with (or without) the extra savings. Please don't post prices unless you are clear on this as it just clutters up the thread and makes it very difficult to sort out what I need to change from what I don't.

For example, it is not a "new" price if you say it dropped to $10.50 when it was $15 in the OP - because $10.50 is just the extra 30% savings in $15. Thus no change to the OP needed. (Likewise $20 -> $14).

Now, someone says there is a new list of stuff to go on clearance - that's great. I'll add those as they get reported (but again be clear if it is with or without the extra savings).

It looks like Rogue Galaxy is a new one (or not so new, but it isn't in the OP so it's new to me ;)) so I'll add that and any others that I can figure out from the last few pages.
 
It's going to be really hard finding AC:WW now. I was lucky to find one copy for $9 when it first dropped a while ago and haven't seen one since.

Excellent, thanks. I just updated with all I could figure out from the last few pages (I figured that Tomb Raider Xbox was $3). But this list is great because I've been looking for Cars at $10 or under, and $10.50 after the savings is just about right. I'm going to make my first trip to Kmart in months tomorrow ;).

Edit: D'oh! I just realized that was the XBOX version of Cars - not the 360 version. Never mind then... Looks like I will continue to not bother going to Kmart ;).

I picked up Cabela's Alaskan Adventures for Xbox 360 at my local Kmart. It had a regular price sticker of $24.00 on it as well as a yellow clearance sticker price of $21.00 but it rang up $10.50.

Also, picked up Just Cause and Far Cry for Xbox 360 and Rogue Galaxy for PS2, all with a yellow clearance sticker marked $28.00 but they rang up $14.00.

Am I missing something here? Seem like 50% off to me, or are the clearance stickers not updated?

No, those are $20 with 30% off making them $14 (or $15 making them $10.50). Though I think the last reported price for Just Cause was higher than that, so maybe that just dropped.

I'm considering getting Star Trek Legacy - can't get a read for this game off the review as they range from 30-90 :shock:. Maybe I'll wait for the $10.50 pricing (another drop + 30% off).

[/quote]Yeah, I'm finding that some Kmarts aren't so good about updating their clearance stickers. The faceplates that I bought came up as $1.40 after 30% off, but were stickered for $10. That gamer remote was stickered as $15, but rang up as $3.50.

What happened to the days when CAG's waited til the games hit $2-$4 before they bought up all the K-mart games. If games are marked full price, no one is gonna buy them so you are pretty much guranteed to get them for $2-$4 when they hit 90% off.

Truthfully, my fear is that the FW lurker/hoarders will snatch up our lovely games before the drop further.

Picked up PSU and Kamako for the 360 yasterday. Both marked at $30. They had a stack of ps2 games in clearance. Girl seemed annoyed that I wanted price checks so I only checked a handfull of games.

Before worrying about hoarders, check the eBay value of a game.

If a game is on clearance for $10-$15 and its eBay value is < $10, you really don't have anything to worry about it.

If a games is on clearance for $10-$15 and its eBay value is > $20, don't wait a month to buy it.

If you buy something and completely hate it, what's the big deal?

Either resell on eBay for a modest loss or try to trade to somebody here or one of the many trading boards across the Internet.

Personally, if I see a good price on a game instore, I'll grab it and leave it wrapped until I check the price on ebay. If I can beat it on ebay (or other stores), I return the game to the store. If it's the best deal for it, I keeps.

Absolutely.
 
If the game is $10-15 and sells for >$20 on eBay, it generally means you'd better pick it up or else pay retail, or more than retail later.

One example is Karaoke Revolution Country. Karaoke Revolution games generally sell for far more than retail once they go OOP. So pay $10.50 now at kmart, or $40 now on Amazon (for a used copy), or, as with Karaoke 1 &2, pay $60 for a disc-only used copy later years later.

Also happens with RPGs and some first party GC stuff, like Pikmin 2.
