[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them (and they don't have restickered UPCs - see point 3 below) they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: http://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way). What we are currently missing is a good list of accessories. I have added a few that I know about. We need more info on these (and there must be more to uncover).

In general, I'm sticking with ShiningSlade's method of listing games. However, there are a few changes. Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

I tried to get price adjustments done, but they dont let you unless it's within 7 days of purchase. So I tried a return/rebuy, but they dont let me do that either, said it had to be put into inventory or have to get another copy from the electronics department.

i went to the 4th kmart in my area and they had NOTHING....looked like it had been picked through pretty good..its the Kmart on Rancho and Craig in north Las Vegas..how many of you already tore that place apart!??!

i really think everyone who waited until now is gonna get screwed. personally ive seen games get 'unclearenced' back up to 29.99-59.99 which is totally lame. theres a chance they might bring stuff out from the back for tomorrow but from what ive heard from employees there was a mad rush very early in the week and most stores are cleaned out. good luck though players
 
It's funny the K-Mart closest to me is old but I have yet to find any of the clearance titles listed in this thread. I check about once a week and nothing.

Went and picked up ChromeHounds today at the Wilmington store. Any clue on what it trades in at? I've heard bad things about it. no more K-Mart games for me. Now i need some of those $1.97 Sears DOA4s. lol
 
Went to my ghetto K to pick up several clearance games that are in abundance in response to trade offers from fellow CAGs. I love that store as NOBODY goes there for games and nothing is marked and I've found so much good stuff there. When I went to electronics, the clerk informed me that some guy came in and bought over $400 worth of clearance games. He took it all except a couple of original Xbox clearance games. He took at least 15 Table Tennis games. Luckily he wasn't that smart. I looked behind other games in the racks and found the last good stuff. NHL2k7 was behind NHL2k8 and a pair of Preys were behind the Darkness. Got the Preys for trade although I have a Prey CE I may trade and keep one of the regular ones.

Back to possible deals, because Call of Duty 3 has recently been mentioned as marked down, Dead Rising has been mentioned in the past, and someone said they got the Darkness for 30, and because Burnout Revenge is old, a new one is coming out and the xbox version is down to 10, I had them all scanned at three different stores and all of those games are still regular price here. I scanned Cod3 Gold and regular eds.

I'm gonna try those last couple Kmarts closest to me, see if I can't find either an original Xbox copy of Just Cause or one of those clearanced tvs. Although, by this late in the week, I sincerely doubt I'll find anything.
 
I forgot to mention this, I found one of the 2200 mah PSP batteries at my local Kmart on clearance. It was marked at 20, wound up being 14 after the 30% off deal. Now Sony just needs to release the new battery covers for the Slims and I'll be set.

Fellow MD CAG here.

I stopped at 2 kmarts on route 2 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie on my way home from college today. Went in the early afternoon and got great customer service from two adults at both stores.

Both stores had a mediocre selection of clearence games, but they DID have some. The younger of the two adults in the second store said they had been selling A LOT of clearence games, leading me to believe that resellers had already swept through the south baltimore area.

I didn't bother trying the 10% off coupon.

None of the games were priced with the clearence prices, but they did rin up on clearence (except I tried to get Phantasy Star Universe at store 1 and it came up at 59.99, where as in store 2 not but 15 minutes away it was 7 go figure).

About PSU... I bought a copy a while back (at CC) but haven't gotten to playing it but my cousin has (not online though) and he liked it. It has a full length (40ish hours I think) single player (offline) mode in which all the achievements can be had.
 
I've got a question. I've seen some of you getting Just Cause for $4.90. When I had the clerk scan the game it came up $8.40. Does the 30% off come off the $8.40 or is the scanned price what I'll have to pay?
I've got a Kmart literally right behind my house, and they had a bunch of copies of Phantasy Star Universe, a few copies of Just Cause, Quake 4, Superman, Amped, Perfect Dark Zero, Tomb Raider, and Lord of the Rings.
I'm going to head back there today to buy Just Cause, and I'm hoping to run into Chromehounds and Gun as I can't remember if they were there last night.
The one nice thing about this Kmart is they have a ton of old games (Rumble Roses XX, Ninety Nine Nights, Need for Speeds) that should be good fodder for future markdowns and it seems nobody bothers to go there.

They had copies of DOA4 and Cabelas Hunting crap, DOA was stickered 39 and I passed, and I passed on Cabelas as well. They also had plenty of last years sports titles and had I not just rented Tiger 08 from Gamefly Id have bought 07.

It was fairly picked over and I didnt get the ones I was aiming for (Table Tennis, PDZ and Kameo). Its a pretty crap Kmart though. I may head over to the one in High Point (Im in Greensboro) tomorrow. However, they had TONS of PS2 and XBox games. I didnt even bother looking though them though. I did see Open Season as well. It was really picked over or they just never had good titles to begin with. Fairly happy with what I did get though.

Sounds like your KMart didn't do the latest round of price drops. Right now JC is (or could be) $7 pre 30%, the previous price was $12. $12 - 30% ($3.60) = $8.40.
 
I'm sorry if I confused you guys.

Cod3 SCANNED as sticker. They had printed off a sheet that had a list of the drops. For some reason it was on that sheet.

They just overrid the game's price right there.

Weird. At my store the electronics guys scanned the battery with a hand held scanner and told me it was still $20 yet when he scanned Phantasy Star it was $4.90. Wonder if he was lying or if he just didn't scan the battery right?
 
Checked out my local Kmart and was trying to get the girl to open the case. I asked her how much the hard drives were(didnt realize they were the 120G ones), she bent down, looked at the number then looked for the tag. I asked if she could please open the case for me to look and she told me "what you need the case open for I already told you what you need to know" reluctantly she finally opened it and there was nothing good there, all that for nothing.

I think maybe not all of them have updated scanners or something because I got a game scanned by two different scanners and they both had different prices.

actually its quite easy and i've done it a few times. sometimes i'll hit a kmart that is too far to go back to regularly so i buy the games full price and return to my local kmart. then like in 2 hours its back in the electronics section and scanning for the cheap price and still has the full price sticker on it.

I couldn't believe that they still had all of this in stock. The kid working in the electronics dept. told me that they never sell any of the older stock and that it just sits there forever. I had him open all the cases for me (I've had him do this before) and security was eventually called over to see what the hell I was doing. I told them I was just picking up clearanced items and I wanted to make sure that I didn't miss any. They were amazed at how much the games were ringing up for. I tossed the kid $5 for his patience (and lunch) and walked out with the biggest gaming haul of my life!

I think you're talking about different versions here. The 360 version was most definitely $12 ($8.40 after discount), and the PS2 version was $7 (4.90).

Then again, at one Kmart the week before the sale started, Tales of Abyss was coming up $17 with no discounts, while every other one has it at $19.

I found at some of my Kmarts that they have a section of games away from the glass case. I found some gems there one time. Have you checked all the aisles in the electronics area?
 
My Kmart stinks when it comes to pricing. The games are all thrown around in the case, and nothing's marked save for some old stickers. I'm heading over soon to buy some games, and hope I don't run into problems.

I just made my rounds to two KMarts in my area in Chicago Suburbs. (79th/Harlem and then over on 111th/Cicero). They were pretty much cherry picked already. I didn't check much of the PS2 of XBOX games but the only 360 games worth getting was the Kameo, it came up for $4.90. TH American Wasteland came up for $59.99 with a sticker for 20.00 and then the others were coming up at 29.99-59.99. The other Kmart was pretty much the same and I left with NOTHING!

I stopped by Sears on the way back and they had some Kameos as well but for $8.00, but the dude price matched it to the $4.90 for me (seeing as Kmart and Sears are pretty much the same entity)! They also had TW '06 and Rumble Roses for about $7.

Found Bionicles for $4.90 and the old 12-month Xbox Live bundle (w/ PGR2 and headset) for $21.70.

Forgot to use the 10% off coupon that expires 10/31, so I went back to try and get them to honor, and the fine print (which the Customer Service person pointed out) says "Excludes Home Electronics". She didn't give me the extra 10% off.:cry:
 
I went to a nother K-Mart today that had 50% off clearance games. I picked up:

I have no idea why this store was ringing up 50% off clearance games. Another weird thing is that phantasy star universe was ringing up $59.99 there (I picked it up for $4.90 at another store earlier this week).
 
Heh went again today to my local kmartand being furthest away from any cities i though i'd be sure to find something good.

No go, though. My local kmart was actually the most organized and updated of all the kmarts. Everything was very neatly stacked and any older 360 games were out of the glass case on the side, though there wasn't much clearence selection (mostly just 19.99 games). Only thing I got was a faceplate oh well.

I think your chances of finding older games increase the sloppier the kmart is, or that has been my experience at least.

Oh and what should I do with the intercooler that came with the Nyko performance pack i got for the batteries/charging station? I surely don't intend to use it on my 360 from everything i heard but is there anything I CAN do with it? I don't think Gamestop would take it, would they?
