[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them (and they don't have restickered UPCs - see point 3 below) they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: http://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way). What we are currently missing is a good list of accessories. I have added a few that I know about. We need more info on these (and there must be more to uncover).

In general, I'm sticking with ShiningSlade's method of listing games. However, there are a few changes. Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Sorry again about that. I only bought TT and Rogue Trooper and the rest of the list was from memory and I'm still familiarizing myself with DS games having just gotte one. Speaking of which the Monster 360 game is 45 not 47, not that it matters really at that price range. I went back and got a pair of GC Odamas still five and found another Tourist Trophy. The manager that adjusted my San Andreas told me the guy had two shopping carts of games in the back to go through plus the aforementioned GC, GBA and DS sections. No PS3 changes yet.

Went to Kmart today and picked up both Kameo and Viva Pinata for a little over $14.00. I don't know if it was a screw up but damn I'm happy to be getting $50 woth of gaming for such a small price.

I'll probaly go back for Far-Cry, PGR3 and possibly Chromehounds/Perfect Dark if they have it

I don't think that was his point... at all. Nobody would pass that game up based on pricing alone, let alone buy it for someone else. Plus, you'll never find it at this point. I think the whole Ebay and hoarding subject is a little tired now, I think this thread can do without 4 more pages of that.

Sorry but I don't have a DS so honestly I would have no interest in buying it at all... I would put the $9.00 towards something else that I wanted and could play but that's just me...

And the comment "I think the whole Ebay and hoarding subject is a little tired now" is bad, it just shows that more and more people are going this route and it is being accepted on this site....

So then I would have to say all the FW/SD bashing is tired seeing it is no different here now.. - my opinion though-

I think I speak for a number of people on this forum when I say I'm tired of weeding through pages of bullshit about FW/SD/Ebay and all these stupid little holier than thou comments about how you would pass up a game because you don't approve of reselling. Who gives a damn if anyone "accepts" hoarding, just go buy your video games, and if you so choose, help other people to find video games. If you want to start a thread about hoarding and FatWallet, go to a different section of the forum.

And for the record, you would be in the area of 1% of people that would pass that game up knowingly for $9. So, as I said before, good luck finding it and even more luck finding someone to sell it to you at that price.

Wow that was most likely a Kmart Employee of the Month mistake right there and it would of been a great price.. My brother purchased it at launch at full retail and is still mad about it. If you do get a 360 wait till Blue Dragon drops if you really want it..

If you remember the game Mystic Quest for the SNES well this is the RPG for newbies for the 360.

Games are for playing, but some people like money over helping a community member in need (I don't blame them, no way to prove the person who says he wants to play the game isn't gonna flip it on Ebay)

I found it yesterday at one of the 3 KM in my area. It was shelved alphabetically, spine out, in a row of DS games, still had a 34.99 sticker on it.

I too was shocked to see what this game goes for on Amazon (more than eBay I think)

It's also available for 22.49 at several of my GS (after Edge and the $5 off coupon in the trade guide)

I call massive YMMV on that. For what it's worth, that is my favorite 360 game (so far - and I'm not an RPG newbie by any means, been playing them since they were text-based games on mainframes ;)). I wish I could have gotten it for $7 though (paid the full $60, in credit, at Gamecrazy). When you see something like that you ought to snag it. If nothing else, you could sell it to a CAG for a modest profit or trade it for something else you want. I mean, I don't want Halo 3, but I damn sure am gonna snag a copy I see tagged for $7 ;).
 
I dont know as I watched my brother play Blue Dragon, knowing the "Father of Final Fantasy made this game I guess I set the bar to high and all the little factors like it saying "playable" or what ever after a story is just to "hey we feel you don't know how to play a RPG" for my tastes...

I feel his company will shine and show more of his RPG roots and style with Lost Odessey...

Well, the "playable" thing is a bit odd. But it says these little words for all sorts of things ("gold", "item", etc). I consider it part of the charm ;). It hardly makes it for newbies though. The game is pretty easy though, except for a few of the achievements which can be pretty challenging.
 
i do want the games for playing, not selling. When the only store you can purchase games at is wal-mart, it REALLy make getting games hard. Especially sicne i can get absolutly no deals. And the closest EB to me is probly 14 hours or more away drive. So, i just really want to get as many games as i can to play.

It's pretty easy to prove they're not gonna flip it on Ebay, when all the fuckin hoarders who bought out every Kmart in their area have 30 friggin auctions, all listed for the same BIN or starting price, like I saw with Rogue Galaxy about a week ago. There were about 25 auctions, all listing the game for $29 something with X amount for shipping, another 15 listing it for $25 and Y for shipping and other various ones with insane BIN prices and other odd auctions with groups of RPGs.

So yeah, in that kind of environment, where the people who have 90 bajillion copies they already hoarded listed up on Ebay, there's a slim to no chance for that single auction that someone from on here lists.

But, I could be wrong on that. Thing is, I did help a couple people from the community with copies of Rogue Galaxy, which netted me all of $4 or so and managed to keep 3 games(2x RG, 1xDisgaea 2) out of the hands of hoarders/resellers. Even if those two people turn around and resell them or whatever, it's no business of mine, but I DID check the TL's of those people I helped before agreeing to help.

If I saw games listed for outrageous prices, I wouldn't have helped them, but I didn't. And personally, if you ask me, keeping all of this chit chat going on in this thread keeps any useful info from being EASILY spotted by people from FW/SD. So, keep up the morality conversations people, since I think the hoarders may get discouraged sooner or later.

Fourteen HOURS drive? WOW!!! You must live up in Alaska or something, to be that far away from everyone and everything. I'm lucky enough to have 5-7 Kmarts around by me, 5 within close driving distance and another two within 40 minutes drive if I desired to check them. Three of my local stores have many of these games, but I don't keep track of any systems outside of PS2 and Xbox, since those are the two systems I have currently. So, that's why my stores may be 'gold mines' as the one CAG I know from around here said they are, since I don't bother checking the DS/PSP/GBA/GC stuff most times.

Only problem with my local stores is that they have been marking stuff properly as of late, so people can just swoop in and grab whatever they want or want to hoard, so in that way I'm SOL.

If you PM me a list of games you might want, I might be able to help you out. I could send a bundle of games out via a Priority Mail Flat Rate Box with insurance and Delivery Confirmation and tack on only about $5 or so for my time/gas. Those flat rate boxes fit ALOT of stuff, if you know how to use them right. :lol: Let me know which ones and for what system they're on, as I will probably hit my local store again next week for the 30% off deal.
 
just dropped by my kmart (Green Bay, WI) . They just did another markdown on clearance games. Had to stop in quick so sorry for not listing games and prices. But a lot of the 360 sports games has gone down from 25-30 bucks to 19.99. Surf's up was the other non-sport 360 game, but all other games were marked down too. i'll try to get more details later this week.

I used to work for the Lockport Park District, like 8 years ago. I avoided that Kmart like the plague. Anytime we needed supplies, I'd find an excuse to go somewhere else.

Nah, I grew up in NW Indiana, but my brother lived in Lockport and then Crest Hell (fucking cops are crooked there, long story). I stayed with him a couple days a week while I worked out there.

I was one of whom he helped get a games. He is great to this community. He helped me get rougue galaxy and disgea 2. I haven't opened up disgaea 2 but am currently playing rogue galaxy. What a great game. Easily worth retail price. Between this and the true deal, I will have a lot to play until end of the year.

Well I've been snapping up all the USPS clearance at Kmarts lately. You can never have too much bubble wrap...especially at .34 a roll!! lol, also I think I have enough packaging tape to last a lifetime!! lmao

The smaller bubble wrap rolls are .34, the bigger rolls are still 3.99

same here. i bought one of those huge bubble mailers that comes in a box of 25. i bought them 3 months ago and i think i've only used 3. i bought 4 (for $4.95 ea.) of them thinking it would last me for a really long time. i also bought the tape cause they were $1.24 for a pack of 3 tapes including a dispencer. im going to buy more bubble wrap when i find a place for them
 
The only thing my TRU had that I wanted was Phantasy Star Universe for the 360. Everything else was pretty wiped out. It looked like they had already separated everything on clearance into a small area on a shelf where I found PSU. The game cases were probably 80 - 90 % empty.

Is that with the extra 30% off already applied? TRL would be $4.90 after the 30% off. Unless you have one of those wierd stores with random price changes (the extra .95 on TRL is not a normal kmart clearance value).
 
4.90*- my mistake a type on that game. Both of those games were at two different K-marts. So sounds like the 30% off is at one of the stores and not the other
 
Bought Over G Fighters today for $15 and several games at other Kmarts this weekend and no clearance % off at any of them. If anyone else sees Over G Fighters they trade for $28.50 at Gamerush. :D

I never did find a Tomb Raider Legends which sucks because I actually want to play that game...
 
I have TR L(but for original xbox, opened, near mint/mint), but I think you meant the 360 version, right? I think my local Kmart has it in stock, but I could be wrong. I know they've become very vigilant about pricing the clearance games right lately.

Well, my closest Kmart is about 3-4 miles from me, but they've been marking the games right lately, so I'm pretty SOL as to finding much there anymore I think, though it's not the hoarders I have to worry about, it's the ordinary shoppers who will see cheap games and buy them up.

its a piece of crap. i played the japanese version. horrible. i'd preffer playing the very first ace combat over this. or even the air force delta for the dreamcast. its not worth $15. maybe more like $2 or $3 then after playing it trade it.
 
Well, the good news is that there were some drops this month.

Bad news is that the cheap stuff isnt getting cheaper this month.

All of the recently clearanced games that went to $22 are now $19 (ie Hotel Dusk), and all of the $26 games (ie Contact) are $23
