Just starting a thread for deals for the Playstation VR.

I picked up the Core bundle off Amazon and I'm looking for a cheap camera and move controllers.

I found that best buy has some cheap playstation 4 cameras on sale for 39.99 with free shipping.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-playstation-camera-for-playstation-4-black/8245153.p?skuId=8245153

If you all know any good deals for move controllers or launch games, let me know.

Until Dawn: Rush of Blood (PS VR) $15.99 via Amazon (Prime Price). https://www.amazon.c...heapassgam08-20

Not sure how they made it "discontinued", don't think they're so updated because of the new one in Japan.

The bundle they ship is not the bundled box from buyer's review, but separate retail headset + retail camera, so it's not really that "discontinued".
Wait, so am I missing something here? The new PSVR bundle that includes the camera isn't the newer version of the headset that Sony announced a couple of weeks ago?

Did I read about a new PSVR bundle (that includes the camera) and a redesigned PSVR headset and then just combine the two in my head when I shouldn't have?

Are you referring to the bundle on Amazon? Obviously it's the old headset, it's available first on July 31, 2017, and the new headset hasn't been released in US yet.

Yes, I am talking about this bundle on Amazon- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0747YTV7B/ref=dp_sp_detail?psc=1

Like I said, I clearly combined Sony's announcement of a redesigned PSVR with Sony's announcement of a new bundle containing the original headset and the camera. My mistake!

the first generation headset has stopped for the newer version, like the original x1 stopped when they made the x1s the new standard basic, bundle wise i havent hear them change the controllers or camera, untill they make it mandatory for more games to have aim support, it might be better to wait and see what the 3rd party vr headsets releasing soon will be compatible with, doubt sony will allowing anything but x should get it in the future probably when they work out a deal with steam to work with the x

I'm sure Sony won't allow 3rd party headset, same as how they control controllers by licensing and device authentication. They really don't care about how much people have invested in expensive PS3 controllers like wheels and fighting sticks and simply make them all not workable on PS4, with some hack.

X could have done that earlier and captured the market. It's seriously their mistake of not taking advantage of their ahead of time Kinect and the readily available VR hardware for PC, I don't think it would take that much time and effort for them to work with other Windows' VR manufacturers to make a VR headset on X even before PS4. Time to market is very important these days, not many people will invest in 2 gaming platforms (and very similar platform, Nintendo has different audience), so if X is already losing on the VR ground, that will likely continue.

Has anyone played Arizona Sunshine recently? Heard rumors that the game was patched to fix the poor aiming but not sure. I'd like to get it while it's on sale if it's been fixed.

https://blog.us.playstation.com/2017/10/23/job-simulator-infinite-overtime-free-update-out-today/

Job Simulator is getting a big update today with an endless "Infinite Overtime" mode that gives you randomized tasks to complete in whichever job you're in during the night shift. They've also added some new things to each of the jobs with some hidden Easter Eggs to collect. The game itself is getting a permanent price drop to $19.99.
Missed that (sold out) when it was about $7.99 at BB after GCU.

A new release:

Fishing Master - $19.99

So my first impression of Fishing Master is that it feels like playing a Wii game with a VR headset on. Motion mostly feels like it register up, down, left and right only, with anything more specific being meaningless. It is an OK fishing game, but it doesn't do much with VR.
Also, really interested in Stunt Kite Master out today. Couldn't find much on it, but seems well reviewed (from what little there is) on the Occulus. As someone who is unlikely to spend the money on a real stunt kite getting this sounds like it could be a reasonable substitute.

Other than Ace Combat 7, does anyone know if any of these are getting physical releases?
Moss is. I've been surprised and impressed at the number of PSVR games getting physical releases. I'd wager quite a few these will likely get a physical release but won't get announced until the release date is revealed.

I didn't see this game mentioned yet so I thought I'd share it.  And yes, it is aim compatible.

Sorry if this has been asked a lot, just got the barebones VR headset. Are the move controllers a good investment? Aside from the games that require them (not sure which ones yet), I’ve been managing pretty well without them, but it seems like Until Dawn Rush of Blood might benefit with better aiming using them.

Though $85 - $99 for two seems a little steep for just that...

I wasn’t super stoked on PSVR (played the demo disk and a but of psvr worlds) until I tried Until Dawn Rush of Blood, and it’s amazing. I plan to also buy the Batman game.

Batman is a good rental, but I guess it could be OK for people to try out as a demo of the technology when they come to your house.

The Move controllers add a ton to Rush of Blood and London Heist (very glad I kept mine from the PS Move stuff.)

The motion controllers are starting to become necessary at this point for immersion. You can easily find a used pair for cheaper! Some games have whole sections and modes you.can't play through without the move controllers.
Also the AIM controller is the only proper way to play Farpoint.

Farpoint is so far my favorite, being abke to lean out and peak around corners and snipe is great. Now been playing rigs. We need to creat a psvr community on ps so we can play the co op together

I think Sony needs to work on a new controller. The move controller, while it's working some sort, is definitely far behind what Rift and Vive have. If I didn't have move controllers from PS3, I certainly didn't want to invest in a pair of move controllers.

I wonder if it has to do with your setup, room lighting or if the old vs new camera would have anything to do with it. I use my media closet door edge and clamp it with a quick, cheap clamp I picked up at lowes. I can swing the door to aim toward where Im sitting and its easy to adjust height. Lighting is usually kind of low. Say this since Ive not had any problems with tracking on the move, oh and ising the old camera I picked up at walmart durring bf for $10,thought for 10 they might start using it for something.

I'm not referring to the tracking. I have three PS3 cameras setup on PC and tried the PS headset with Move controllers, so even roomscale is possible.

The problem is the Move Controller was solely designed at the time to compete with Wiimote, not for VR, even for that it's late to the market. So, when type hype of motion sensor games wore down, move controllers were put away quickly.

First, it was designed to pair with the Navigation controller to navigate so Move controller doesn't have navigation control itself. Both Vive and Rift Touch controllers has navigation control on it give better flexibility to use. Rift Touch controllers rather than just buttons, it also has gesture sensors for the fingers which makes it much more natural and engaged in the VR environment.

And I'm wondering what makes Aim Controller can work but a PS3 Sharpshooter (still have 2 from clearance) can't do if it's the limitation of Move controller or because of a Navigation controller is needed for Sharpshooter.

Today I started working towards the platinum for Mortal Blitz. The Sony Rewards points has me hunting trophies.

During the 40th training mission my aim started to deteriorate, and in the 47th it was completely shot. I had to throw in the towel for the day. I just need four more training missions and the campaign on Nightmare to get the platinum.

I hope this game gets updates. I really like it.

I'm pretty sure they are going to release a new controller at some point, but the Moves work well as a cheaper solution for the time being.

The AIM has every button available on a Dualshock 4, except it just has a button to click for the touchpad. Plus it specifically designed to be a gun, not two seperate controllers you could kinda use as a gun when positioned correctly.

Hoping a core version is also available at that time. Sold my old one with hdmi box to prepare for the new one .

Wow, really? How much if you don't mind me asking. Would love to upgrade but figured I'd only get like 150 bucks for my older headset which would make getting the barebones version pretty bad cost wise.

Sold it for 200 through eBay and this is after all fees 2 weeks back. Kept the camera and move controllers to prep for the new model, but hoping to get a Black Friday price for the new core bundle

Thanks! So if I get that lucky it looks like the new headset might go for 300 on BF if a decent deal shows up making it a $100 upgrade. My HDMI switch is really fussy and annoying but frankly my TV only had mediocre HDR implementation so I'll have to think it over.

With both ShopKo and Target having it on sale for $200, I suspect GameStop and Best Buy likely will as well.
