Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

I'm surprised I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but you could get banned from stores doing that. They'll think you're someone checking prices for a competitor.

actually im not to worried about it. i got a friend at sears whos cool with it and helps me out some stuff. he'll put a game on hold in the back for me when i need it. other employees ask for price drops as well. at TRU i met a girl there that is cool with me price scanning all these things becasue its doing her a favor by not having to scan them for me. they pretty much ignored me at target. guess i just blended in with the rest of the mexicans. lol. i'll try to hit walmart asap so that we can have some more price updates.

Depends on the mood of the Manager(s), in most cases their too busy to care. If you steal, thats the only sure fire way to get banned from a store. I also heard some stores will ban you for hiding items because they consider that stealing.

If you're checking the prices for yourself and not a competitor there is no harm, no foul.
 
Exactly. If they want you out because they think you're doing something that hurts them, you're leaving, even if you're just checking them for yourself. End of discussion.

i noticed you didnt actually have them scan some of these games and just looked at sticker prices, which is not the best way to check if the price has dropped. Sears is terrible at updating tagged prices. You have to have them scan it in and see if the price has changed. one thing you need to do is check the date on the stickers. most of the time theyll be dated. when i checked mine, a lot of them were still dated with MAR stickers on them, lol. so yeah, a lot of those you actually need to scan in instead of just looking at the price tags. put some effort into it ! everyone else has done most of it here for you already @_@

Picked up Singstar 80s (game only) for the PS2 for $1.97 and Guitar Hero 3 (game only) for the PS2 for $4.97. It's nice that they organized all the games on a rack now instead of the bottomless grab box they had before.
 
I think i found my new fav employee. The same person who did my Best Buy receipt pricematches last week let me pricematch from a Sears that doesnt do clearances right. Got .hack//GU vol 3 pricematched from $14.97 to 97 cents, and my Folklores from $14.97 to $9.97

I might have to go back to the store that doesnt do the clearances right, they had tons of other stuff but it was still marked at $30-$40, so i didnt wanna tie up the credit card.

Spiderman: Web Of Shadows (PS3) $14.97
Nascar 08 (PS3) $1.97

I also price checked a Command & Conquer 3 that I found for X360. It was $14.97, but the game did not have the plastic seal, just the security sticker on the side and the bottom. If it was cheap, I would have opened the game right in front of the cashier to see if the game was still inside, but for $14.97, I'm better off getting the game used or through Goozex instead....

There was also some posted prices for some of the clearanced items on the video game display case.
Buzz for PS3 was listed for $19.97
Guitar Hero III with Guitar for PS3 was listed for $29.97

I'm gonna go to my Sears and see if they have Pokemon Emerald. I'm craving some Pokemon, last one I had was Blue, heh.

Actually I scanned them all! (how else would I know Darkstalkers was out of the system?)

Anyway at a different Sears a random Scene it 360 bundle had randomly shown up, presumably from the mythical back room. It was 9.97, I was expecting 4.97, but I got it anyway.

Thanks for catching my typo...It is Nascar 08. Once I got into the car, my wife laughed at me, but just to get a minty PS3 case is worth $1.97, much less the game inside.
 
I have a correction for the first page, as well as an addition for the Xbox(original) section.

Mind you, I haven't had one scanned, but I'm pretty sure that the Dual Shock 3 for the PS3 is NOT on clearance. It was the SixAxis controller that was on clearance for the PS3, since they phased that controller out.

Moreover, I'd like to add that GUN for the original Xbox is $2.97 if anyone can find a copy of it(like I did).

Is it worth $3? I thought it was worth $30, which is what I paid 2-3 years ago for my original copy.
 
I got Civilization:Revolution (360) for $14.97. Finally used an old Sears gift card I had. I was in another store over the weekend and saw it for $19.99.

I finally found a Sears that keeps up with clearance prices. I picked up :ps3:Civilization Revolution and Heavenly Sword for $15 a piece.

And I don't know what it is about Sears but half of the time I can never find anyone even near the department.. Although I do like not having to be pestered with them asking, "Can I help you find anything" every 5 minutes.. lol

Yeah I find it annoying when I want something out of the case, but other times I'm glad nobody is around when I'm waving a sheet of barcodes under the price scanner!

paradise thanks for the tip on the Sears coupon. It looks like they now give you a $5 off $50 coupon for being their "friend" !

With the Eye? I swear this has been on clearance somewhere else before, but it escapes me right now. I'd really like an Eye though for Burnout Paradise.
