Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Also does anyone know how much the famicom gbm is, or DDR bundle something on X-Box? I can't check either till tuesday.

Edit: Oh yeah, I found Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for $6.97 and Zelda Twilight Princess for $6.97.
Zelda had the Fire Emblem sticker on it and the guy said that's what I get it for.

the Famicom GBA Micro is still $35.97 when i had it checked. im not sure about the bundle for the xbox. is it Ultramix 3 or 4? i think i might have seen it but it was behind the case so i couldn't tell.

I was in a small rush so I didn't have him look, it was behind the 360 DDR so I couldn't tell either. Thanks for the GBM info though.

Thanks I picked up the Mario Party 7 bundle for $63.xx. The Pokemon X D was $89.XX and they brought out from the back a Smash Brothers Bundle (it was dusty) but it was $99. I needed an extra Game Cube PSO nearly killed my first one.

It might be worth asking what stores have in the back/storage. A few weeks ago they brought out some Xbox S-controllers.

If you want it, the GBM should be at a price that's "worth buying." Whatever that means :) I think I know which DDR bundle you're referring to and its on clearance but still high (ie. over $40).

nice. would really love to have the pokemon xd and smash bros bundles. even at $99 i think the smash bros bundle is worth it. i found a store here in NY that sells it but wants $114 for it.

The Sears that had the game doesn't have the little pink stickers like my other two Sears. They have big white ones with the clearance prices on them but no date.
 
I found a copy of Suikoden V today at a local Sears. It was marked with the pink sticker for $31.97 but rang up for $7.97. I'm glad I waited.

Mario & Luigi was stickered at 14.97, but rang up 3.97 for me.

Definitely don't believe those white stickers on video games at Sears. Most of the products at my store are labeled that way. The PSP accessories I got a few weeks ago rung up clearance price but were stickered full price.
 
Sears clearance prices are so YMMV that the most important thing to know is which titles are on clearance (and not necessarily the prices).

By the way, excellent job with the list phear3D! This is actually the best looking list I have seen on CAG so far (no offense to anyone else :D ).

Nothing for me. Two full bins of clearence games. Mostly dbz, ps2 greatest hits and sports games.

Was really hoping to find jak3, donkey kong or sonic for the gba..

Grabbed MotoGP 06 and Tiger 06 for the 360 yesterday for $7.97 a piece. Also saw Rumble Roses XX at the same price and MGS3: Subsistance for $16.97. I was hoping to get some of the lower prices mentioned, but $8 is still great for a 360 game.

Edit: This was at the Baybrook Mall Sears in Friendswood, TX.

damnnn! i think thats probably the cheapest reported 360 game so far! (tiger woods doesn't count!) i wonder if they could price match from store to store using just the receipt, anyone tried this?
 
DDR Ultramix 4 Bundle (XB) - $43.97

That was the stickered price but it very well could be lower. The sticker said "AUG" but it was behind the glass case and there were no employees in sight to pull it out and check the price.

I found SNK vs Capcom Card Fighters DS at the bottom of a bin pink sticker price $2.99. I grabbed that baby and took it to the register faster than you can say YES! :)

i FINALLY found a store that has a separate bin with extra 50% off!!!! i scored:

shadow of the colossus - x2 $4.49!
dead or alive 4 non-ph - $6.49!

i also managed to nab 2 non-gh God of War's for a non-cag price of $19.99. who cares its rarezZzzZ lol.

Went to a Sears and a Sears Grand yesterday. Nothing spectacular - the non-Grand Sears had a copy of Rogue Galaxy, but I did not get it scanned because I was kinda in a rush. I was looking for a copy of DOA4 though (if anyone has one (non-PH) they are willing to part with for cash or perhaps another game, let me know), but the 360 selection at both locations is really crappy. Virtua Tennis 3 was on clearance for $29.99, and there were a few others, but were accurately tagged (with pink tags).

And I picked up...

DOA 4 360 (non-ph) $2.00!!!!!!:hot: It was marked 9.97, and I scanned it at a price checker, figuring it would be the $6.97 or $4.97 as reported...when it showed $2, I scanned it 3 more times to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. I've been waiting for a deal on this one, so I'm quite happy, as I snatched both copies they had right up.

PS2 Sony DVD Remote (w/ IR Receiver) $1 x2. These were marked $1.97.
 
Wow too many good deals to just miss out on looks like im going to Sears, really hoping to find the PSP battery and the PS2 dvd remote :)
 
gotta check my sears again, hopefully some of the stuff is on clearance now. Who knows...I might find another 99 cent mgs3 subsistence, lol
 
I've never had luck at my sears until today. They had suikoden V for 5.97! When the clerk scanned the game and told me the price I did the Little John "What?!"

That's a great price for that game. Even though others have found it I still have yet to see it for cheap.
 
I dropped by a few Sears stores in my area today. Both were pretty well picked over. And I encountered some higher prices than I expected (YMMV).

The first store, I managed to find 2 copies of FF IV Advance. The one was marked at 4.97 and the other at 21.97. When I rang them both up, they both rang at 21.97. I tried to talk the sales clerk into giving me the stickered price on the lower one but he wasn't buying it. So, I just left.

The second store, I found a Woody Faceplate for the 360 @ 3.97. Also found a Paper Mario for GC @ 9.97. I picked up both. I also had them check a Mario Baseball for the GC which rang up at 29.99. In the case, there were also a3 copies of Metal Gear Portable Ops, but by the time I realized it, the sales guy was gone and I didn't feel like tracking him down.

On another note, the second store also had a Pokemon bundle GC but it was marked at 89.97. Definately waiting on that one to come down!

Oh well, minor haul for today... Thanks OP!!!

If I pay, can anyone pick up a Live card or some live cards for me? I'll throw in a few dollars on the side too.

My local Sears doesn't have the 1 month live cards for 97 cents or the 1 year kit with 200 points for $18. I really want the $18 live kit with points.

you could call the other sears in your area to avoid wasting a trip and asking for a price for that particular game. if it rings up at the price you want it to, then you could go there and get it price adjust. if you couldn't find it for less than $10, then i suggest returning it in 20 days then rebuy it or something. unless you opened the game already, then all you could do price readjust.

I would caution against that (specifically at Sears). A year ago when I found the PS2 Final Fantasy/HDD combo for $13.98 at one Sears, I called another, and the employee hesitated and said "uh, we have...wow, that's a great price. We're out of it though". 2 Days later, when I was actually at that Sears, I asked if they had one, and was told "No, we sold the last one Yesterday". Meaning, the employee stashed it, and bought it himself.

With some of these deals, the employees have no clue that they're going on, unless they did the price changes themselves. Every single time I've picked up a clearence game for cheap, the employee is surprised and wants one for themselves. Alerting them to the cheap price is just ensuring you'll never find a copy at that store.

360 Virtua Tennis 3 and 360 Pimp My Ride and 360 Superman Returns are on clearance and have been for awhile. Sorry, thought they were in the OP already. I'll double check the price next time I'm at one. I'm 99% sure VT3 was 29.97 and Pimp was in the 30s as was Superman.

This is golden advice. Never call ahead for these.

hes asking for a price adjust, he already has the game. since all sears have a different price for each clearanced games, theres no telling whether its the price youre looking for. at this point the guy just wanted to readjust, and seems like to me the best option is to call instead of heading over there. saves you a trip. i would do the same except i would just rather wait since ive already gone to all the sears i usually go to.

I remember thinking it was odd that it dropped from the previous 39.97 (the first clearance price) to .99 pricing unless it's a universal price drop a la PS2 Tourist Trophy dropping from 39.97 to 19.99 when after it hit GH. Then again, 360 Call of Duty 2 is still 47.97 while it's universally 29.99 and at some places 19.99.

About price adjusting, at the Sears I asked, I was told that they did not price adjust a clearanced item. I can't remember if receipts have an indication of clearance on them. Of course, it could just be the manager who was asked. .

By the way, the reason I haven't repoted these in the past is cause I've been uninterested because of the high clearance price so I just looked over them, but just so you know Superman should be 10 & PSU 7 @ KMart, Pimp My Ride 15 @ TRU, XBLA 14 @ Target, but at least we know to look for future drops here. Oh and VT3 is worth it for 30 in my opinion cause you'll never find it for 17 @ CC and it's fun.

we ask them to open the case as well. only a few sears actually have them in the open. and most of them have the newer or more expensive games in a locked peg (the thing where they hang the games).

update on the list: i've decided not to emphasize on new additions to the list (not that i have anyways, but i was thinking about it). it makes it too catchy and theres alot more lurkers lately.
