Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

On Monday morning, I stopped into Sears and the value games were picked over, but I didn't do too badly. Most of these were behind other games that were marked for $19.99, almost like someone was planning to come back for them later...

Cold Fear (PS2) - $6.97
Elite Beat Agents (DS) - $5.97
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence - $13.97
Tourist Trophy (PS2, GH) - $3.97 :D
 
wish i could find a copy of mgs 3 subsistence at sears ... also searched a couple sears today but I think the remotes are extremely difficult to find. Did anyone who found a harmony 360 remote ask someone to look for it in the back or did they just see it hanging around other accessories/in the case? Just wondering if all clearanced items are eventually discarded or kept in stockroom.

I had to ask all 3 Sears I went to if they had it in stock. One never had them, another was sold out, then the last one the guy knew he had one in the stock room but that was it.

Doesn't hurt to ask! Nothing to lose really...

Seems to me like you're just a dumb newbie...

just kidding! Those games were probably all penny'd out, or in other words hit their minimum clearance point and now either ring up as "check shelf price" or as "video game" and have a default price dependant upon the system, or sticker price on the game. YMMV of course, as some stores do actually just end up selling those games for a penny.
 
No dice on anything I wanted (mainly the Logitech 360 remote and Xbox Live cards) at the store my fiancee works at. I have one close to me, though, so I might drive there tomorrow.

Sounds about right, stellar game, just a tad on the short side. Ok, way on the short side, but definitely worth a play through at that price.

Got some prices adjusted (return/rebuy) yesterday:

Live Arcade: $4.97 - $3.97
Ape Escape: $4.97 - $3.97

The girl was kinda hesitant, but she did it anyways. She told me that they normally take the returned clearance games and return them to the manufacturer. I don't understand why they'd do that, because they would still "make" money if they resold them.

It was actually $3, because I had 2 copies of Live Arcade. I had to stop there anyways, to look at washers. Plus, I wanted to see which games this particular store had on clearance.

im back from vacation! will update the op with new or updated prices when i have the chance..

i went to a few sears 1 store actually had pitiful selection and another had 1 freakin' game.. happy feet for the gba!! how pathetic! i had more luck at kmart.
 
Saw the following at a local Sears:

XBox Live Arcade Unplugged - $3.97
Eragon (360) - $5.97
Street Fighter AC (XB) - $9.97 (sticker over barcode)
Legend of Kay (PS2) - $9.97 (sticker over barcode)
 
Returned to a Sears that I previously picked up Fire Embem POR at last night. I was browsing the clearance bin again & they had another copy of it in there! (Marked $14.99) I took it up to buy it & it came up at $1.97!! I then asked the guy (friend of mine) if he could check the back for me as I thought there were no more previously, so he did & that was it, there was no more now. I also scanned Star Trek Legacy & Eragon for 360 & they were both $5.97 360 Moto GP 06 is also $1.97 now.

That's an awesome price for the Cube Fire Emblem considering the new price for it has skyrocketed recently.

Well decided to take a ride out to a Sears 30 minutes from my house that I thought had closed.

I scored again

3XXbox Arcade Unplugged 3.97(Gonna use them for giveaways for our Xbox 360 group on our website)

I never know what other stuff to look for, I see yall stating some games worth 70 bucks, is there a list of the value of these or you just have to pick out the thread. I just look for the common stuff I have come across.

MGS3: Subsistence for $14.97 (not sure if this is a deal or not)

Here's the best part of the trip. Sitting in the locked case were 2 copies of Persona 3. Jackpot!

Edit: Forgot to check for Mario DDR. Gonna have to go back and check tomorrow.

i notice this alot with the games and dvds at sears. theyre not careful opening the boxes.

kind of. its sort of hard to find at the moment. it still sells for $49.99 most stores. before christmas they were selling for about $10 to $20 more on ebay. alot of sears, kmart, and even micro center still have em in stock collecting dust.
 
just got back from my closest Sears (Meadows Mall in Las Vegas) and had them price check 3 xbox 360 games

Virtua Tennis 3 - $19.99
Star Trek - $9.97
All Pro Football - $19.99

I left empty handed...
 
I found Dr. Mario/Tetris on GBA but it doesn't ring up. Like Castlevania: Curse, I can't get any employee to sell it too me for anything under $15.

Looks like you came to my Sears ( Vallco; now Cupertino Square ). lol I find that funny, since that is the copy I was going to buy, but luckily for me, my friend just put some clearance from the back out and there were 2 EBAs: that one and a pristine copy. XD Sorry for snaggin' the good one. ^^;

FYI, there shouldn't be any Mario DDR. I keep a good eye on the clearance sections ( gotta do somethin' on your breaks! ) and have actually never seen one there. :(

does anyone know if sears would price match my receipt from kmart for the 20gb hdd for $25? they sell em now for $59.97 i believe.

I found Star Trek, too. But it rang up $6.97 for me. I decided to buy it since it was the last one.
