Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

I got ds card fighters for $5.97. They had a large cardboard display with several "front lane" style games. The type where there's large white price stickers and stickers over the upc's. GBA, ps2, ds titles. Some of the gamecube and gba ones (which were mostly just nickeloden titles) had stickers that said "wii compatible" and "ds compatible".

I picked up the damaged one he left behind. It has razor cut near the spine, but still in the shrink wrap. Both the plastic cover and cover art are cut. Probably worthless as a collectable, but should be no problems if you want to play.

I got it for $6.97+ tax. Let me know if you want it for that price.
 
I went to the Lake Success one to scope the games since I didn't pay much attention while searching for the Harmony remote, and it seems they cleaned it up and don't have much PS1 or GBA stuff left. doh!
 
It looks like my local Sears store is correctly price marking the clearance games. I saw:

Legend of Spyro new Beginning PS2 $9.97.
Splinter cell Double Agent Xbox 8.97

All the copies of Elite Beat Agents I saw last week were gone.

Went to both Sears locations near here looking for Castlevania PoR. Totally struck out...but I did get a $9.97 Clubhouse Games. :)

So the hunt for C:poR continues...
 
Went to local sears today and picked up 3 original xbox live 12 month subscriptions for 30 dollars total. I was excited as hell as this was the first really great find I've had at any sears I've visited in Charlotte/Raleigh/Durham, NC. If anybody cares there are 3-4 more subscriptions left at Northgate in Durham. Otherwise I may just pick up the rest in a couple weeks... Oh and btw I know your in OK and all but in Charlotte I found a clearance PoR but didn't pick it up. Sorry, couldn't help myself.

My local stores never have anything good left, so that's why I used to always hit the stores over the border in NY and NJ. But, I'm convinced the local stores have some other games in the back, much like one of the local Kmarts did. The trick is to get the people in electronics to stop pestering customers to buy an hdtv long enough to check in the back for me.
 
I asked at my nearest Sears today if they had any old stock in the back. The guy said, "Nope, all we have is on the floor. We don't even have any room in the back." Ohh well.
 
anyone found a GBA Micro Famicom Edition recently? i wonder how much they are now at sears. i know 1 store still has 1, but its too far away.

Scanned one 2 weeks ago, $35.97. That store is bad on drops though, stuff stickered with June and July stickers are still scanning at those prices.

Both I think; I didn't scan the 360 version though and I believe original xbox are cheaper anyway (I paid $10 each). The original xbox cards I got were dated 2003 on the outside, came with a bag for headset, and had no expiration date visible anywhere on the packaging or inside. Definitely ymmv though. BTW I also asked at this Sears for them to check in the back and they said they had no video game stuff in stockroom. I guess all Sears are not created equal.
Also these original xbox cards DEFINITELY work on 360.

If the 360 Live subscriptions are on clearance they will be the old packs with the headset and bankshot billiards (I think thats the game) not the new one with the camera.

:360: Star Trek Legacy, sticker listed $13.97, rang up at $7.97
:360: Eragon, sticker listed $9.97, rang up at $6.97

Game Rankings has Eragon at 50%. Am I better off returning it? Is it really that bad for $6.97?

If it's cheap and you're interested just play it... I've bought some cheap games in the past that had mediocre reception and enjoyed them. Basically you got it for less than rental at Blockbuster so why not...
 
My only complaint about Eragon is that the movie was so horrid I wanted to gouge my eyes out. It's nowhere near as good as the book was.

Okay. Thanks. I originally checked my local Sears stores for the original Xbox system Xbox Live codes. I'll have to go back and see if they have any Xbox 360 ones on discount.

Download the demo on XBox Live and try it.

No worries. I'm not even sure that they are. Someone said they might be and I just wanted to point out which ones would be if they were.
 
Ones I got were original w/ headset pouch. WTF do they put a headset pouch in there for, seems useless. Anyway I managed to fit 2 360 game cases inside. Tight squeeze though.

What, you don't like to carry your headset communicator with you everywhere you go? You never know when you'll be near a console, so you should always be prepared!;)

Many of these deals are YMMV so no one price is fully guaranteed... you might want to give them a call instead, or make the 45 minute trip.

Wow, I'm so glad I saw the title of this post right before I headed to my local mall last week. Seriously, I noticed "The Official Sears Clearance Thread" as I was closing my laptop and thought to look there while I was at the mall.

I just recently bought my Xbox 360 and ended up getting
Kameo for $3
XBLA Unplugged for $4
Perfect Dark Zero (Regular, non-PH) for $10

I'm going to try to head back tomorrow and check out any 360 games I may have missed, along with any good GCN, DS, and GBA games they might have.

Went to Sears today and I was able to snag...

:360: Star Trek Legacy for $8.97 + 8.250% Tax = $9.71 (It was stickered for $39.99)

It wasn't on the shelf so I asked for help and they had it in the back. :D
 
Damn, I have not been able to find Star Trek: Legacy for the 360 at any of the Sears near me or any other place that might have it on clearance. I guess I will just rent off of GF.
 
I managed to find a PSP game for under a buck at Sears. I got Puzzle Challenge: Crossword and More! for PSP for $0.97 and a Media Max media manager with USB cable for PSP for $1.97. Not a bad haul for under 3 bucks before tax.
 
Went back to same Sears as last time and made out pretty well: $50 for persona 3 (last copy), $4 for Kameo, 2 more $10 XBL subscriptions for friends. Also price checked xbl arcade unplugged and GOW greatest hits, 30 something dollars and $20 respectively. This sears is officially the most organized and has the best stuff out of any I have visited so far.
 
I tried two local Sears stores today and they were cleared out of all 12 month XBL subscriptions. I did see a DDR Universe bundle and may go back and pick it up. I also spotted a copy of Cars - which is supposed to be $0.00. I didn't have time to ask an associate about it since I was on the hunt for XBL cards. The hunt continues tomorrow...
 
Is it me or does my Sears (Brea Mall) never have good clearance deals? Everything on clearance is marked at at least $19.99. :(
