Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Problem is that there are no (decent) clearance games left in the bins!
 
Has Sears suddenly changed their policy to try and get good customer service ratings or something? I stopped in at the store closest to me tonight and the clearance bin was completely organized by systems all facing spine up. The last several months it's just been a huge jumble of crap. They had 2 copies of Odama for the GC thrown in there. I stopped in there to get a replacement 12v battery for my garage door opener and I saw about 4 employees and a manager. I was asked twice if I needed help, and they helped me find the battery I was looking for.

Since the clearance bin was organized it was easy to search the titles. Normally I grab a pile of games and take them to the scanner but I didn't want to do that tonight with so many employees around. I grabbed Ultimate Ghosts N' Goblins (marked $19.99), Darkstalkers (marked $9.97), WTF! (marked $5.97), and Odama (marked $39.99) and took them to the register. I asked the manager if he could check the prices because sometimes they're cheaper than marked. He told me he had worked on organizing and pricing the bins all day so they were correct. He then said he wasn't sure about Odama. He scanned it an dammit it came up full price:bomb:

I bought the battery and WTF! Once I was done with the purchase the manager pushed the customer service survey on the receipt hard. I wonder if the stores are getting graded hard core on that or something?

Man I'm not a fan of Star Trek but I'll buy it for sure. Anywaysss went to Sears @ North East Mall DFW, TX yesterday and bought Phantasy Star Universe for $7.97 [360 version]. Going back tomorrow to go through the bins and such once again and also stop by Sam Goody's within the mall to see if they have Bioshock in.
 
Got a couple of the $0.97 1 month cards and just noticed they expired on 6/30/07, has anyone had any problems with these not working?

Getting expired Live cards to work is hit or miss. A lot of people have had success...some haven't. Good luck.

Indeed. I went to check a local Sears and it was pretty much picked clean. Pity, that's where I got a ton of great clearance titles to breathe life back into the Sears clearance threads to begin with.
 
It will probably pick up again, there could be new markdowns that we haven't found yet because they are still not tagged. I know when I go to Sears, I only check games I know are on clearance, or older games that I think could be on clearance. Speaking of which NFS Most Wanted on the 360 is $29.99 (not on clearance and not a deal since it's $9.90 at TRU)
 
Bought 2 copies of Star Trek for $4.xx, ripped the wrap off and walked on over to the nearby Gamestop to take advantage of their extra $10 trade in credit. With edge and the bonus, I walked out with $25.40 of credit. Quite awesome indeed.

I did see a 360 hard drive in the case, but didn't price it since I don't need it.

There were a few Burnouts left, which I hope drop since I've missed the 7.50 price at Target and 5 at TRU. I don't like when they actually label games with proper prices! There was even a sticker on the glass advertising that Star Trek was 1.97.

Not sure if this has already been posted, but I found Xbox 360 HD VGA cables at Sears on clearance for $9.99. Picked a set up, even though we don't have an HDTV yet.
 
The Sears in Fort Wayne has been pretty much picked clean. The only good thing that I saw was a copy of Rogue Galaxy that was marked at around $30. It was hidden in the cardboard display. I wonder if it was less than that. I left it since I picked it up at Kmart a while back.

The bin with was pretty bare.
 
I was hoping to find a deal when I spotted a pink-stickered copy of the Halo Triple Pack, but it was still ringing up as $49.99. Even the store employee was surprised how expensive it still was.

My sears had 1600 xbox point cards on clearance for $3.97 each. I picked up all 4 cards (6400 points) for $16 today. hooray!

This was at the Sears at Chapel Hills Mall in Colorado Springs, CO.

Went to a Sears across town this afternoon. I nabbed a couple things:

Rouge Galaxy (x2): $4.97 each
Donkey Kong Country 2: $0.00 (cashier gave it to me for $4.97)
PSP Phat Regular Battery $7.97

I saw but didn't check the price of EBA or SNK Card Fighters for the DS. They had a couple copies in the glass case. I also saw a couple copies for Eragon for the 360 in the case that I didn't mess with.

I almost got a copy of the Sears markdown list. If I had been able to get it I would've posted details here. I saw probably 5 salespeople working in the electronics dept this afternoon. One lady was going through the video games with a printout sheet. When she stepped away for a second I got a glance at it and sure enough it was the markdown list for all systems. She never left the list alone long enough or I would've at least tried to get some pictures of it with my cell phone.

it doesn't look like there were marked down previously but more like forgotten behind a glass case display. All 4 cards were stacked together looking quite new in the clearance section with a price tag only on the top copy.

That is exactly what a blister pack is. I asked because Target recently clearanced out their encased points cards to change out to the new cards that need to be activated at the register. Was wondering if we'd see this same kind of thing at other retailers. Thanks for the info!

Picked up Castle:pOR and EBA ds games for 3.97 and 1.97 respectively. Also scanned rayman ds which showed up out of system and xenosaga episode 1 which showed up out of system. At this particular sears they would only sell these games for the old price games are stickered for, even though they obviously hit a much lower clearance price. Left one copy of elite beat at local sears going for 1.97. Anybody know if xenosaga episode 1 is any good/would be worth 15 dollars?

I made sure they scanned the back of the box, not the stickered price (even though they ended ringing up at the stickered price). Obviously this was wrong and I called them out on it, but they said there wasn't any proof that they were supposed to be cheaper. I don't know what to do to get them for the clearance price.

I don't know why you are getting mad. This is YMMV. Not all Sears are exactly alike.

nah Northpoint. And for the record, I tried pming Bulletwitch and Sylpheed when CC was clearancing those, but the salesperson meticulously called CC to check for stock. Of course no one at CC answered the phone so I was denied a PM. Oh well.
 
Has anyone price checked or purchased the DS Lite browser at Sears lately? I saw a copy of it in the glass case at one of the stores near me. It was marked $29.99 but I didn't have time to have it scanned.
 
The 1600 pts blister pack were scanning at $24.99 (and priced at 19.99) at my Pittsburgh area Sears. Made me feel bad for dragging one of the sales guys away from his huddlemates to check on it. Almost. :roll:

FYI for all those who want a $19 :gc: ; if you can afford the $100, BUY IT NOW!!! Sears has a 30 day price protection policy. So if the $19 Gamecube comes to pass, you can get the $80 when/if it happens.

The price match/protection policy doesn't apply to clearance prices, although some stores will do it, some will not.
