So I bought a Skylander and a rider Link in the same transaction and used the coupon and it applied to the Link (to my surprise at the time). The employee was kind of mind blown as well, but he let it through. The next store I went to I said I had a coupon for a free Skylander but I think it works on all IGF (interactive gaming figures) can I try it ? And the employee was nice enough to let it through and I got $14.99 off of a Guardian and paid the difference. If you are worried about JR detectives I would simply soom in on the coupon on your phone and you can't see that it says Skylander, it looks just like a $14.99 off coupon and let the POS do the magic. BOOM !

I found the most updated version of the skylanders club at GameStop. It took some real digging lol

Most interesting thing is a few parts of the FAQ still refer to buying 6 to get one free, but I have learned that creation crystals count towards your count of 4. Anything with an MSRP of $9.99 counts. Adventure Packs count as 2, and Starter Packs count as 1.
After getting 9 sensei figs and 6 Crystals, I had bought a Bad Juju fig to hopefully set me over the edge for a 4th coupon.
I have yet to receive a coupon for using 3 coupons towards 4 skylanders
I wish there was like a digital punch card you could refer to online to show how many you need.

FYI I know it is not $2.49 anymore, but Starcast is back in stock for shipping at $9.99 on Gamestop.com, or find one locally and use a $14.99 off coupon

Even this literature is unclear. It used to say buy 6 get 1 free, then buy 4 get 1 free. Even in this article though it seems updated, near the bottom it mentions buying 6 then getting one free but near the toy it is buy 4 get one free. Which one is it?? I also really wish there was a punch card because as I mentioned SOME of the clearance starter packs count toward total, but not all.

Just called customer support about items not included in my order. They replaced the order and then I checked all the different teacking #s they had. Turns out it will be delivered tomm! Looks like Im going to have even more Senseis and pre-owned switch skylanders carts.
Their shipping is a mess!!! As much as I enjoy taking advantage, I hate this garbage company.

The 2 easter characters and a preowned switch game.
As in an overseas company people have bought from and had a positive purchase experience with this item. Rumor abounds that this will never release in the U. S.
Problem I'm running into now is buying the Easter characters and not being able to get the observatory expansion.

Yeah I've seen places who do have it in stock. The problem is paying $2.50 for the character, I'm not willing to pay much more for the level pack, especially not MSRP.
Those rumors are based upon a second hand Activision "Future Plans" list in Business Insider that listed a Q4 Adventure Pack. Future Plan lists are notoriously bad to depend on, some in the past listed a second and third Diablo 3 Expansion and Starcraft Ghost, not to mention it could have been referencing something else or have been a typo. That along with hoaxes for additional characters had people believing there would be an Imaginators "Year 2". It's all false hope, they had no Skylanders presence at E3 or planned presence at SDCC, and their only statements were the standard mealy-mouth corporate speak to try and avoid talking about how they are abandoning console Skylanders games.
If you want RO-BOW or Lost Imaginite Mines, you would be advised to import it now before those even become hard to get. You'll pay a bit more, but if collecting or that level is important to you you may miss your window. There are many that waited around for regular Thrillipede (which had a very limited online only release at TRU and only a few showed up in other stores), and found themselves later out of luck.
Stores are significantly and quickly eliminating their Skylanders area. TRU has massively downgraded their space and Gamestop, Best Buy and Target have all but gotten rid of it. Stores aren't looking to stock stuff they are already having to clearance out.

I learned that even they don't even know the ins and out of the skylanders club program because the lady on the phone said I needed to buy 6 skylanders for it to take effect. I told her there was multiple FAQs, and all have disparaging info and that the latest one says 4 skylanders $10 or more counts torwards a free coupon.
She put me on hold, found the right FAQ, told me that there wasn't a way to issue me a coupon so she said she'd give me 10,000 points on my account. I told her the coupon was for a $15 skylander, and then she upped the points to 15,000.

A wise choice if you are not collecting. It may eventually come out here, but it is doubtful at this point - if it isn't a big deal to you then wait and see works fine.
The level is pretty nice and involves a new magnet mechanic. It isn't terribly long, you might get a couple hours out of it to do everything and get three stars. It does have a boss, and that is the hardest part to meet the time limit, as he spends a great deal of time completely shielded against attacks. Ro-Bow is a fun character, but not all that much different in feel that the other the Bowslingers, he spends most of his time saying 90s Internet memes in his robotic voice. The extra Imaginator parts are one of the best parts of the pack, they fill in some nice gaps that help when making your own Imaginators.

hrm. So how long did you have to wait per coupon? my first 3 came a day or 2 after my inital online splurge, but I bought 1 in store on thursday the 6th to turn my total 15 into 16.

I have received at least 10 coupons in the past 2 months, so there is not really a limit I am aware of...
After the gamestop morning sale last week, it triggered my collectors-itis once again.
I only had the Imaginators Crash starter pack and the two gamestop exclusive figures. Now all that's left for me is Chompy Mage! I do plan to hunt down two variants I'm missing next week.

Wanted to give everyone a heads up. Kaos seems to be the hardest to find, at least for me. I scoured everywhere and it seemed ebay was the only option. Yesterday in my travels I hit up several stores and happened upon a new in box Kaos at a walmart! What's making them impossible to track online with brickseek is the stores are using generic UPCs and DPCIs now so it's a crapshoot on what you'll find.

Chompy Mage (regular, green) is going to be tough, you'll have to import as the only way he was available in the US was in an Amazon "Villains Pack" that has been out of stock since the game came out. There are some places you can import him from, but it is a far cry from the Gamestop prices a couple weeks back. Also, it is pretty much a given at this point we will never see Ro-Bow in the US and the import prices are starting to rise.

I had a feeling the regular Chompy was never released in the US as I've never seen it in my travels nor online. I'm on the road today and have a couple figures on hold for me at various stores, including Chompy xmas version.
If everything goes smoothly today the only variants I will be missing are the dark edition figures and the observatory expansion since I got the easter figures.
Amazon matched on Crash. Funny enough I was in Walmart today and asked them to price match...they told me they don't match any websites except their own anymore. I said OK I'll buy it on Amazon...come to find out the Walmart site had it for that price too.

Yes and no. The portal owners pack comes with the game and a creation crystal. Crash and cortex are both sensis. It's been awhile since I have played but if I remember right sensis only give you more parts for your created Skylander and a special move.
So if by clear the game you mean get to the end-yes. If you mean get 100% of everything....well, you haven't played Skylanders before.
Yeah haha I mean get to the end. I just like to run through the campaign. I generally grab skylanders figures used at yardsales and when they get really cheap on clearance. Thanks!

The imaginators portal owners packs were on clearance at Walmart if you can still find them (I picked on up for 7 or 8). Toys r us had some of the older starter packs marked 20 and then 50 percent off when I was there earlier today. I am not sure what ones but I did see the dark superchargers pack for the Wii.

Thanks! I'm missing the first game, giants and imaginators. I think I'll just wait for the full version to drop eventually. It won't look right on my shelf with one box being different haha.

Heads up for those of you trying to track down older Skylanders Trap Team "Trap Masters" . Toys R Us has a few of the harder to find figures for $9.99 each and free shipping over $29. I know it is not the best price but some of the harder to find ones (Wallop, Krypt King, Wildfire, Knight Mare) this is a better price than eBay or Amazon). Happy Hunting !

It all started with the GameStop sale a couple weeks back, it got me hooked. I scoured many stores and hunted down the final variants Tuesday of this week in my travels. It's amazing how lucky I got in the end. Within 100 miles was the only best buy who had steel hood sickle, one target with solar aurora, and one GameStop with chompy mage. Somehow I majorly lucked out and walked into a walmart who has a Kaos just sitting on the shelf too.
I tallied up what these cost and what I paid with these sales and all in I've spent $120 plus tax for everything pictured. For one game that seems like a lot yet knowing everything would cost over $500 straight up, what I ended up paying is virtually nothing. Of course this doesn't included traveling and gas to a dozen stores or so.

Great job!!! I have Imaginators Switch so I just scan em while still in box and will trade or sell them later.
Do the expansion sets work the same way for the switch? I'm still trying to get the observatory without buying the whole set with air strike.

Not sure. I bought one expansion out here in Finland for 8euro so Ill test it and report back.
I got my nephew a switch and loaded all the characters too for him. I definitely think this was an oversight on Activisiins part or maybe Skylanders was already on its way out so they didnt care!

They have just restocked all trap masters. It was down to only Thunderbolt, Tuff Luck, Short Cut just a few days ago. Seems Activision still has tons of old Skylanders.
Now just wait for the B1G4 deal again.
The guy who just bought a Knight Mare for $12 from me on eBay might not be that happy.

Picked up 3 Trap Masters and 4 traps (with a few Master and Trap fillers) for $16.
I'm now just 1 Master short of a full set.

Another week of sales at Toys R Us for older versions on the game. All starters are $9.99 (excludes the newest imaginators game) . If looking for variants they have the Superchargers Dark with Dark Bowser Amiibo / Skymiibo and many others. Figures are also B4G1 free (excludes imaginators).
