Things have changed drastically since I started this thread and I've gone from a quality control monitoring job with other duties thrown in to monitoring double the amount plus the work of others. Bascially, I now do the job of three comparing the company now to that of a year ago thanks to layoffs and not hiring to replce people leaving. Plus I generally work 6 days a week and often ten hours with no break. I'd quit, but I have a hunch that our department will be hubbed in another city around July and I might as well hang in for the layoff package. Basically, this means I have zero time for internet and thread managing the way it should be done. My trade list and pm box fall by the wayside and I hardly email or even check my facebook/myspace. I didn't even find time to manage my fantasy football team and will completely forego baseball.

I know IO is busy enough as it is with a couple of threads, but if anyone wants to take over this thread and start a new one, please do so. Of course, I should have all the time in the world to keep it up to date if you want to wait unitl around July.

I got tired of going to TRU for the most recent clearance drops only to find more here on CAG from one of the three threads after I got back from the store. So I've compiled a list from the posts of Starving Gamer, Benboxer, life.exe, cmosfm, Kevzik's pics of lists at his store, the lists I saw at local TRUs and the many posts of awesome CAGs in those threads. I am by no means associated with TRU and I don't have inside information on upcoming drops, but I wanted to post a consolidated list to help other CAGs. As new drops occur Benboxer, Starving Gamer and anyone else is welcome to post new lists here and/or in seperate threads for more attention for the new items and I'll update the OP for total lists. Please keep in mind that some of these games are YMMV on price and as with all ongoing clearances availability is always YMMV as well. Most 9.90, 5.00 and 3.00 games are from the recent drop of a couple weeks ago. Thanks again for everyone's contributions and especially those early lists. I wanted to get this up and running and will do some tidying to the list as necessary. I'm not familiar with every game on the list so feel free to post or pm inconsistencies in titles!

NEW PLEASE READ SEE POST #2 FOR LATEST DROPS
A few things about pricing. All of the last round of drops are 9.90, 5.00, or 3.00. A lot of the 9.90 games were 19.98 before, most of the 5.00 were 9.98 and most of the 3.00 were 5.00. So if you see a game that is 19.98, chances are it may drop to 9.90 next drop which will probably be in a few months. As with any clearance a lot of these games may have been sold out at your store before they were even clearanced and now that the latest drop has been at least a month those games may be hard to find now, too. I do still see several 19.98 some 9.90 and some 5 & 3 games in this area. Don't forget to check the glass case and you can ask if a game is in back as sometimes this is the case.

READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE CHECKING THE LIST
Games in blue are from the latest drop, most of which were on clearance already at higher price points.
Games in green are VERY RARE games from the latest drop that were originally shipped to stores in VERY LIMITED quantities when the game was released and only a very few CAGs have found these.
Games in Yellow are have been widely reported as YMMV as pertains to price point.
Games in Orange are new reports that are awaiting confirmation

Well I'm going to give it a try tomorrow during lunch.
Doesn't hurt to try. I'll throw in GeoWars so I have to pay for something.

Will also price check every GHIII bundle as I need a new guitar.

Won't be back on a computer till about 4pm though so I'm sure there will be news before me.
 
I think I saw a hoarder today. He had a tall stack of games, insanely tall, and a list. He also had both copies of DDR Supernova, one of which I went back to get. I wonder if he had theFinal Fantasy Tactics that I wanted. :bomb:
BTW the fire emblem and batallion wars trick didn't work.

Why didn't it work? Did they just ring up as $24.98? Maybe the cashier did an override or something. Or maybe its a YMMV.
 
Here is a scan of my receipt. I bought 2 other copies of Battalion Wars at another TRU. Maybe the sale was YMMV.

I believe it, in 2005 they had the 128MB PSP memory sticks marked down to $1.48 - $2.98 depending on the store. At the same time, they had a $5 off promo on that item. I tried it in 2 different TRU stores and got a bunch of them for free. At the first store the manager was called and he said, if it rings up for free then I get it for free. The cashier at the 2nd TRU didn't care.

I don't know. He totalled it out and it didn't add the promo. I was figuring the promo would be automatic. So, I made a last ditch effort with customer service, asking about a promo I heard about and they checked the computer and said there wasn't anything.
I have to say, when I heard about the sale, I heard it started on the 25th and it was supposed to last one week. Did it get extended?

Yeah, I remember that one. I actually bought a bunch of them before the bonus promo, went back for an adjustment and got every penny back.

That would suck if it was YMMV, I saw a TRU today with 4 display copies of Fire Emblem. I don't know if they had them in stock or not but it would be awesome to get it for free.
 
Yeah, I was really hoping for this to work for me. They were gonna be presents for Christmas. Maybe it'll work at another store, if it hasn't been hit by my new nemesis.

They were both 24.98 for me also with no extra $25 off. I did check the price of Metroid Prime 3 on the price scanner and that did show the $25 off till 10/11. I actually ended up buying both FE:RD & BW2 just incase even though they didn't show the extra $25 off on the price scanner.

Looking at my reciept besides the promo not coming up I noticed that after the UPC code a few spaces over I see a letter S coming up after the UPC on each game that isn't on Death1essOne's reciept. Maybe a TRU employee knows what that means?

Death1essOne what do the computer's look like at your's TRU store? I'm thinking that maybe certain newer or older computer set ups are only doing this I'm guessing what would be a glitch. My store has really old computers and the screen is small and is basically DOS with a black screen & white text.

i made a couple small purchases yesterday at the old price, and found everything that particular location had that i wanted. tonight i'm planning on heading out to another TRU. anyone know if i can just do the price adjustment at a different store while i'm there to shop for other clearance games, or are they gonna send me back to the first store?

BW2 and FE rang up 24.98 at 830 pm tonight. The cashier knew of the deal and said I should have been there earlier as it was ringing up free. I did get a wii geometry wars. they had tons of those and I ended up returning FE and BW2 since they werent on sale.

The computers in the first one were newer looking ones and with flat screens the 2nd store had the old ones that looked like they were running DOS.
 
I heard that DDR Disney Channel (game only) for the PS2 dropped to $9.98 as well. Anyone confirm this? I just want it for collection purposes.

Yes, I can confirm that. Along with the DDR SuperNova 2 that I should have snagged.
 
nope, I bought Fire Emblem 2 and Metroid Prime 3 and couple other $5 xbox games. The FE 2 got automatic $25 off.

someone pillaged all the copies of FFt from my TRU before I could get there after work :(

they had a ton sitting around the last time I was there too...
 
I'm going to try in a few hours, I'm printing out the UPC's and taking them to a price checker to see if it shows the $25 off because I don't want to try to buy them to find out, and then have to return them later.
 
Got the last GH3 for PC bundle today at lunch. The shelf was empty, but the very short and adorable sales girl said there was one on a top shelf in the back, and that if she'd been taller it'd have been put out with the rest of 'em. Short cute girls are my favorite :bouncy:

Especially ones willing to go out of their way for some CAGness. Similar situation at my TRU.. totally raped. There's a lurker on here that is showing up at stores and buying up entire stock. They're reorganizing the games at my store.. although they're still going to be using the ticket system.

I may even take GH3 in to work here shortly to see if it will work on my PC in the office.. I just barely meet the system specs, except for having a 3.00 ghz pentium HT instead of the minimum required Pentium D. The research that I've done shows that it only utilizes a single core.. so why place a dual core requirement for the minimum system specs???
 
I can't believe the requirements, I just looked them up. I think it will still run but does anyone know if the guitar will work on the PS2 or PS3?
 
Snagged the last Zack and Wiki for 4.98. This'll be a good Christmas present for my friend who still enjoys his Wii-- bless him.
Also got Infected for PSP for 5.00-- and not sure why I got these two, but Splinter Cell and Tamagotchi Party On for 5.00 a piece for Wii.
 
went and price-matched my previous purchase from two days ago, and picked up PW3, FFT, Gurumin, PaRappa, Lumines II and EEE. looked for Castlevania at two TRUs with no luck... don't really feel like driving further to find it; once i factor in gas, i can just buy it cheaper online.

I guess they must have fixed it late yesterday or early today.
 
I scanned the UPC's for REUC, Fire Emblem, BW2 and MP3 all at the price checker. REUC and MP3 scanned as $24.99 regular $49.99 but Fire Emblem and BW2 scanned as $24.98 with no mention of anything else so I think you are right that they fixed it.

When I asked about Guitar Hero 3 the person in R-zone looked at me as if I was crazy and said she didn't think it was even released for the PC. I insisted it was and I'm sure to her I sounded like one of those customers who insists their kid's friend has Mario for PS2, but I checked myself and didn't see it.

Anyways. I picked up Batlefield Midway for 5 dollars. TRU Plaza Las Americas is pretty much striped bare of the new drops. They still have one HD DVD Drive with King Kong for 49.99.

They are listed in pages 93 - 96 I think. Basically all the old $9.98 stuff is now $5.00 and some new stuff was added
 
I grabbed a copy of Castlevania - had to ask as it wasn't out on the floor. Tried the FE & BW2 thingy which didn't work either. :whistle2:( Worth a shot though! So, if their prices are in the $xx.98 range, then won't we see them dropping in the upcoming months?

If everyone in my R-zone was asked that right now, they would give the same answer. Our PC GHIII were sold in less than a week and never got another shipment in again.
