Official Trophy Thread - 4/21: Enhanced Trophy Lists Coming in Firmware 3.30

I enjoyed it but it's really not as polished as the others.Hard was never a problem for me in the others, but this one they just swarm you with enemies, also parrying felt offcompared to the other onesThe camera being zoomed out also got on my nerves too. Also your going to want to patch for the chapter 28 part, unless you want to pull your hair out doing it on hard which I some how was able to beat it on hard.

when i buy the game, ill try it with no patch =)
It's not impossible as I had friends who beat it no problem. It will be a good challenge and you'll probably report back that you beat it no problem.

@Tyler, the chapter gives 3 levels of enemies to kill that respawn. The problem is there are no checkpoints and if you die on the 2nd or 3rd level then you have to start all over from the first level. Once you get the pattern down that works for you then its not too bad.

The camera pulling so far back where I would lose Kratos on the screen was annoying.

Exactly how I feel about the game. I definitely fully patched up the game before I started playing.

For me the very first part was the hardest to master on the Trial of Archimedes.  Gorgons and Sirens together really sucked.  The other sections did not seem terribly difficult, but since that first part always had me so near death they only had to look at me funny in the next couple of sections to kill me.  Even with the patch, it took me longer to get through that section of the game than it took me to finish any of the Challenges of the Gods in the previous games.

Prince of Persia + DLC #129

Combo specialist gave me problems, did all combos twice.=(

Terrible end for the main story, lame ending for the dlc. No sequel :censored: Ubisoft Montreal.
I was surprised how much I liked that game. I wish the DLC had gone on sale when all the other PoP sales were going on since I had just gotten the platinum. I just couldnt bring myself to pay more for the DLC than I did for the entire main game. With that said, I do not do gamesharing so no need for anyone to offer it to me, thanks.

Combo specialist can be a pain since if the enemy happens to hit the wall during the combo it doesnt count. Same for if you end up knocking them off an edge. The other combo one actually gave me a bit more trouble though. Seemed like the timing had to be pretty precise for it to count.

I just got there last night, tried a couple times and got my assed kicked, then went to bed. I'll try a lot harder tonight, but I'm not looking forward to it. Those sirens are a fuck ing pain in the ass! I need to get better at dodging the Gorgon whip move too. I'm used to rolling out of the way of everything, but jumping seems like the better way to do it.

Tyler this might help you out. I used the Oath stone that puts the green bubble out to slow the Siren down. Then used my body double as I was dodging the other enemies. I used fire as my weapon element then as the Rage meter fills up use it. I just rinsed and repeated this. Also the blast from your fire magic can make the enemies go over the edge if they are close enough. The Sirens can also turn other enemies into stone and then destroy them.

This is how I ended up beating this chapter and good luck.

I'm still yrying to beat that 10th challenge on the first GoW. That is the worst challenge cause if you don't pass it you need to do the other 9 again.

I just finished this last night on my 6th or 7th try on hard - it helps if you have all four magic bar thingies and are good at herding. Fun fact, if one of the sirens is really close to the edge of the platform, the fire magic can just knock em right off (or if you have a club that apparently works too - Edit: should've read the post above mine!). What others say is true though - the first round is the worst by a mile. The third one has the potential to be awful, but if you just keep spamming orkos/time thingy and save some magic to nuke em you can tear through it in under a minute.

I think this game might be the easiest platinum I'll have gotten if I can get my hands on an online pass. I followed a guide which I don't normally do, but I don't really care about the gow plot and I'd like to trade this thing while it still has value.

I do remember getting to 10 and failing a few times. It still was much less frustrating to me than the trial on GOW Ascension was.

Nice job rpg.  You're officially 10x ahead of me.  We should have a race, see if you can get 10 platinums faster than I can get one.  Haha!

I remember my first Plat, it was Borderlands 1. Such a great time... Hardly do Plat runs now, because of a busy schedule and GF (and CAG) eats up any possible free time I have.

I usually get home and think "I am gonna play xxx game." Then wind up being on CAG for 2 hours, lol.

Ended up with 97% on God of War Ascension.  No online pass so no Platinum, and then I skipped out on one other bronze trophy (for using the Amulet 100 times) because I didn't feel like grinding it.  Sold it on Amazon overnight for about 33% more than I paid for it, so I'm happy over all.  Would have liked to platinum it, but oh well.  On to Ducktales and Metal Gear Rising.

Finished the platinum this morning on it - was able to snag an online pass from a generous cag. The amulet thing only takes a couple minutes if you do it on ch 25 (furnace) and don't throw anything in to the fire assuming you've been using it semi-regularly up to that point.

The online seems like it could be fun, but I'm totally god of warred out now. I too have Ducktales on deck while I wait for my recent ps3 hard drive purchase to get back to newegg for replacement. Up to 14 platinums now, I've got the fever!

Looking forward to seeing your thoughts on MGR - I have it downstairs but I have digital backlog I'm poking at first.

Ended up with 85% on Ducktales.  Only two trophies I didn't get were beating it on Extreme and griding to unlock the art work.

Really enjoyed the game.

Terraria: hard plat? Is that the reason u stop?
Hard? No. Time consuming, stupid, and random occurences? Yes.

Two of the trophies take about 10-15 hours each from what I've read, and 2 more involve random drops that I wasn't going to mess with, though you could trade for those random drops or maybe find someone who will give them to you for free.

Those are the 4 trophies I'm missing.

Still, the game was amazing. Cannot wait to get it again on Vita.

EDIT: Actually looks like all 4 may be boostable online. Still, I personally didn't bother with them.

I really detest stupid grinding, what worse is, it's a mere bronze. Like that RE5 DLC trophies with 100 wins or whatever it was in this and that mode. IIRC my boosting XP in Crysis 2, gosh worst boosting Id ever had, Id to wait for like 3-4h till its my turn and guess what I gave up. It's not fun nor worthy, it's just a waste of time to me. I went to play on my own and got it eventually and I felt good.

9th Plat: Disney Pixar's Brave.

Was a super annoying grind for the "Gotta Snag Em All" trophy. 10 hour Plat my :booty: .
I had problems with fireboar boss fight. Rest of the game was easy with the help of the bow. Good Pixar game tho. =) plat #131

Online was easy but had problems with one dumb trophy called:

Dedication
Play online 6 months after your first time

Took me 1year and Ea servers :censored: suck.

Yeah the whole problem with online is peer-to-peer type, which sux really hard, no dedicated servers. And lol with Dedicated trophy, I started playing the PS3 version when it was free for Plus in Dec and booted it up again sometime in Jan, ding its popped up :D
Now Im working on Sly 4 with collectibles, man the use of Vita as a treasures radar is awesome, only if I realized it more earlier :(

How about AWP from GTA 4. That was just a bronze as well. I remember keeping my fingers crossed after the last race hoping nothing glitched on me. At least Wanted was a gold trophy, but it was brutal. In fact, much worse than AWP.

I had problems with fireboar boss fight. Rest of the game was easy with the help of the bow. Good Pixar game tho. =) plat #131
That fireboar and the rock golem earlier in the game were the only 2 hard parts for me. Each one took me more times than I care to admit.

Yeah, double platinum day for me. I finished Terraria and Lego Batman 2 : DC Super Heroes (Vita) today. I realize I didn't start them today or anything but at least they are done.

Just 3 more platinums to go for this week. God of War HD, Saints Row The Third, and Modern Warfare 2. I could possibly finish Dead Island as well since I probably only need about 5 hours of play time to finish it. God of War is just the trials and 5 hour playthrough. Modern Warfare 2 is just 5 Spec Ops missions. Saint's Row is the most but very attainable if I try. It really just requires playing chapter 3, getting about 5 side missions done, and finishing the challenges.

I got all the trophies except the 24 hour trophy in Breakquest.  Very easy to do with the standard 33 balls that the free version gives you.

Platinum #20 for me: Sly Cooper Thieves in Time

Wonder if I can break 25 or 30 before I have officially been on PSN for a year. Hope to tackle all the Ratchets soon as those were my favorites when I was younger on the PS2.

None of the Ratchet games were bad platinums as long as you are OK with doing the glitch to get the million bolts on the first one. I do not want to think about how long that would have taken to do legit.

I do not care how much I like a game, I do not want to play anything 4 times unless I played it once a year and then it would not be speed runs. I loved the series too much to end up hating it by playing the game over and over that many times.

Gotta agree with Gator on this one.  That million bolts trophy was ridiculous.  I hate when they put in ridiculously grindy trophies like that in games. I usually don't bother with them (even when there are glitch solutions) so I just decided to forgo the platinum on R&C for now.

So how many people actually have the Vanquish plat? An insane part of me is thinking about going after challenge 6 again.
3089 out of 96280 who have played the game and have a card on PSNProfiles. Some portion of that are likely hackers since I do not think they remove the ones they have marked as hackers from those stats.

Plat #10 is Saints Row 4 for me. Loved every single minute of platting this game besides falling asleep with my ps3 on for about 10 hours for the fourth and forty trophy. Overall it was totally worth it.

I......still have 13 plats.  :(

Been playing Dragon Fantasy Book 1.  Definitely not trophy generous thus far.  But a lot of fun.

#132 Modern Warfare® 2 soloing almost all spec ops was a challenge.

Working on Far Cry 3 main story next. Offline co-op was painful using two controllers at the same time.

Ooh I could of co oped this with you. I enjoyed the 1000 on this and have it again on PS3. Haha

Would anyone here be interested in the online trophies for FEAR 3 or Red Faction Armageddon?

Wooo, just got my 85th plat with Ragnarok Odyssey.  I'm proud to say that I was able to solo every quest (yes, even the 100 giant quests) and did not have a single card or weapon neared to me.  Granted, it took me 82 hours (plus 4-5 hours of reloading and refining), but I did it, wooo!

While this post was 10 days ago, if you need help with any coop MW2 sp ops add me and let me know. Replayed some recently to help a friend too.

Anyone have Playstation all stars BR and care to play a match for that trophy? Add me and I'll be fairly free this weekend to game. Good luck trophy hunting all, for those with a 3 day weekend!

Just got Platinum #20 - God of War 1.

I'm so glad that the 10 challenges are all done. Also got my speed run done in a little over 3.5 hours.

Picked up the Trivial Pursuit platinum over the weekend before sending it off to amazon because I'm developing a problem (and it only took a couple hours).

Anarchy Reigns put me so close to level 19.  Game was a little bit better than I expected, but the combat isn't on the level of Bayonetta or Vanquish.  Characters and story were OK, the setting of the game was pretty blah though.  Trophy layout is rather stupid, I only ended up with about 57% or so complete on it.  Trophies aren't way too hard, but the platinum would require at least 2 planned playthroughs and possibly a 3rd depending on how you wanted to do it.  Game wasn't nearly good enough to justify a 2nd playthrough on hard for me.

Never got a chance to go online because I could never get into a match.

#133 Far Cry 3 =P~

#134 Wanted (8 playthroughs

) used the glitch too save time

Next: One Piece 2
