Looking at boxart for Pac-Man World 3, I notice the Only For tag on the upper left corner of the box for the Gamecube version. What features exactly are only on the Cube version?

I have no clue. But since no else has posted, I thought I should.:booty:

Most games say that on the cover (not just gamecube games, xbox games too). I think it's just a marketing trick with ambiguous wording.

In other words, they really mean that "the disc in this box will only run on gamecube", but they want you to think that "this game was only released on gamecube" because exclusives sell better on each console (even though when you add the sales from multiple consoles multiplaform games sell better).

On the other hand, it's possible they are including the extra disc with "Pacman Vs" as they did with another Pacman game. In this case you should definately get this game (since Pacman Vs is awesome).

No, you're wrong.

Halo was Only For Xbox for a while, until they released the PC version. The newer copies of Halo don't ship with that stamp on them.

Same for Viewtiful Joe. When the PS2 version shipped, the icon was removed.

My Cube Player's Choice version of Pac-Man World 2 / Pac-Man Vs. actually doesn't have the Only For tag on it.

I'm not wrong. There are in fact some Xbox and Gamecube games which say "only for" that have been multiplatform releases from the beginning. I'm sure what you're saying is also true, but that doesn't negate the fact that there are some games where the "only for" sticker is blatantly false.

For example:
242206.jpg

was released on PS2 before it was even released on xbox.

OK, but I dn't know what we should conclude then.

We should conclude that the images of the box-art online are inaccurate. When picking up Dragon Quest 8 price-matched at BB today I saw a Cube copy of PMW3 which did not have the Only For Gamecube tag on it. So whatever.
