I really wanted the PSVR2 (I had dragged my feet on getting the 1 and with all the differences from the 1 to the 2 was glad waited). Kept dragging my feet and even with the price cut I am glad I pulled the trigger on the Meta Quest 3. Freaking amazing. Course, bought it for the wife and it sure does look pretty collecting dust (the Meta not the wife :ROFLMAO: ), but I really can not justify 2VR systems.

Trust me, I've tried 🙃
I’ve also been dragging my feet on the PSVR 2. I have a Quest 2, a Quest 3, and a PSVR 1, and I plan to get the Quest 3S next week with the Target deal. I have about $460 in Dell rewards (most of it expiring in December) and they just dropped the price of the Horizon bundle to the Black Friday $350 price, but I just can’t bring myself to do it. I’d rather use the reward bucks on an admittedly much more expensive PC (thinking 4080 desktop) that is somewhat future proof to replace my current 3070 system (I know the 5xxx series is about to come out, but that will likely be out of my price range and I don’t expect systems with older cards to drop that much that quickly, but I’m neither an expert nor a fortune teller). My daughter will get my old computer to use for school and maybe some game sharing from my Steam account.

You did nothing to help me justfy getting it lol

I was thinking about the quest 3s, but seeing how little the 3 gets used, can't justify that either

A rift apart sure is holding it's value like a Nintendo Mario game. I want a physical copy of it otherwise I'd pay $14 for upgrade of essential to plus for next 3 months but guess I'll holdout for a decent price on a physical copy because they take games aways from plus so be my luck they remove it before I could platinum it.
It was $20 at bb back in Sept.

Its $30 pretty much everywhere you can find it...cheapest its been since last year as stated above. With the new Pro enhancements doubtful the price will drop further due to demand

There are devices similar to the Portal for around the same price that can do way more than just stream.

Spend $80 more and you can get a handheld machine that emulate all systems up to and including PS2 and GameCube.

I don't understand why you'd buy such an expensive one note device.

I wasn’t trying to help you justify it, so, mission accomplished?

Yeah, if the 3 doesn’t get used, probably no need to get the 3S (which, to be clear, is a downgrade). I use the 3 quite a bit, have a crazy amount of games for it, and have done some multiplayer with my daughter using the 2, but it isn’t her favorite platform, so the 2 is more or less the dust collector. My hope with the 3S is to replace the 2 and maybe get my wife and daughter to play some 3 player stuff, though my wife has shown no interest in walkabout minigolf, which I think is probably the best gateway to that. I haven’t picked up Batman yet, so the math with the Target deal makes it hard to resist.

Effective cost: $300 - $75 (target gc) - $50 (Batman value) - $60 (referral sent by existing account to new account used to register the 3S) = ~$115.

Ok, I’m fudging the numbers a bit, ignoring tax and overvaluing Batman (I have a 30% coupon on meta, so I should only count it as $35), but even if I can’t get my wife into it, I might at least be able to get my daughter to give vr another try.

Sigh, as same sale prices on my wish list as when on sale in other various weeks. My Xbox wish list the same issue with their sale.

The stores are at least starting to have some nice deals show up the past few days.

Rift Apart is $20 at QVC with code welcome10
Isn't that a one time deal though? wouls save for the 30 or 40 they do off of larger orders. Almost got me to buy the new CoD, but still have held off. I have it free on Xbox and still don't play it (started it though which is more than what I do with game pass)

No, technically it's for "new accounts" only, but using the Gmail period trick you can create a lot of accounts that way. You can also use the same credit card on each account by removing it from the previous account before using it on the new one (or using a card generator for your card). It sounds complicated but it really isn't and a lot of games are on sale right now so it's basically the same or better as the $30 off offer (which they removed games from working several months ago).

Gmail period trick?

What is this magic you speak of?

You've done this recently? QVC or HSN - maybe both - have cracked down on multiple account use since people were using the new user $30 off coupons on cheap Tracfone bundles.

Pretty sure it means just putting a . in a different place each time you make a new gmail account. For example, [email protected] is your main you already used so make a new gmail with [email protected]
Close, what the actual trick actually means is that Gmail itself doesn’t register where the period is located and would treat both of those addresses as the same address. Account systems for retailers though are more specific so if you move the period in the email address most systems think it’s an entirely new email address, Google on the other hand looks at it as just a typo or something and sends it to the same email address regardless of whether/if there’s any periods.

PS Stars really knows how to piss me off. First they take away PSN credit. And now they finally put a game on it that I’d like to use my coins on, Phasmophobia, and when you click on it there’s no option to use your coins!

Stars blows at the moment.

Let's say your email address is [email protected]

You can create accounts on QVC with [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] etc. and all the emails will be sent to your account, but QVC (or other websites) will see it as a new, unique email/account.

Yeah been working fine, they have put limitations on a lot of their promo codes, but welcome10 is working. The only limitations I've encountered with multiple accounts is having the same payment method saved on a previous account.

I keep reading about them taking away credit. Is this just for non USA people? I can still redeem $5 and $10 gift cards with my PS stars.

bruh of course the portal. why not the dual sense edge too. My delayed bb 30th controller changed from delayed to delivery tomorrow so that's nice

Yeah I was hoping for a DualSense re-stock at PS direct. I'm actually wondering if, when I ordered my Portal and Slim, why I didn't get a DualSense too...? Don't recall if it was sold out at the time or if I just didn't think.

For the initial preorder wave in September '24, the Pro 30th sold out in 15 minutes. The 30th slim console around 40 minutes, the standard dualsense I'm unsure of, yet the edge 30th and portal 30th were up for about two hours. The second restock weeks ago I was able to order another slim 30th and two dualsense 30th without issue. The wave a couple days ago was a total bust. Had a 45 minute wait in queue and everything was unavailable.

When I got in the slim and edge were sold out. Guess that’s why the portal’s gonna be restocked. Not as high in demand I guess

Had anyone played As Dusk Falls? Worth it for $16.49?

I can recommend As Dusk Falls. I platinumed the game when it was on Game Pass. The decisions you make are impactful and the story hit me harder than any game has in awhile. It's difficult to say if it's worth it to you because whether you connect with the story will 100% be personal. The game also has coop so can make for an interesting experience with a gf and friend.

I own some of those PS Portal alternatives (Steam Deck and Odin 2 Max) and I can say that the best thing about it is the ergonomics of the controller. It feels like holding a slightly smaller version of a Dualsense controller with the expected functionality (touchpad, haptics, etc). I tend to use it while watching sports on TV to grind levels. I don't regret buying mine. I would have been willing to buy a more expensive one with an OLED screen but I imagine they wanted to test the demand before going all in on it.

Yeah, its terrible. This is the worst BF for video games I have ever seen, good thing I have a massive backlog of games.

Well it's technically not BF yet... so still possible we see better deals getting added as stores compete but it seems like the sentiment on the economy is better so people are likely gonna spend even without good sales.

I've bought a few games because the extended return windows and will just return anything that I find cheaper.

Really was hoping for that annual 50% off Ubisoft BF deal for SW Outlaws. Can’t really justify paying $90 or whatever for the Ultimate Edition yet.

fuck sakes

So is there really no reason to stack PSN premium now? Current subs are not getting the discount so it's looking like it's better to buy 20% off PSN cards from Dollar general on the 28th through 30th and then wait for your PSN premium to expire and just buy it again when it's on sale. Really weird that they would penalize current subscribers.

Legit don't understand why Ubisoft doesn't add 60fps to GR Wildlands as well. Game is so good but the fps is ass.
If they ever do update it, I'll have to finish my save since I was maybe 66% complete when I burned out. If Ubishit does survive, I really do hope they can get another banger out like GRW was.

Yeah, you'll think there launch games like demon souls being at $30 would be $20 at least. Makes me wanna take a chance and skipping this year and see what happens at Wal-Mart after BF for clearnace deals.

I miss the old school Black Fridays. You know, the ones with door busters and you had to go to the stores. That drove prices way down to trick you into there stores. Now that everything’s online, no one has any real incentives to cut costs majorly

Yup we might have better deals starting Sunday. Just returned my SH2 I got for 65 hopefully it drops to less than $60 and I need a damn ps plus deal asap. As for Star Wars outlaws, its a Ubisoft game so hopefully that drops in price real quick

Still remember showing up at best buy at 1am, temps were about 12 degrees, and all I had to sit on was the flier from the Sunday paper.

Dead horse I know… I’m still reporting auctions for the Pro 30th. Just found a guy who has sold 3 Pro 30th bundles and has more listed.

So much for one per person. Which means they tricked PS direct or made several Sony accounts to flood the queue back in September. Which then means they should be arrested and charged with computer fraud and cybercrime! Yes I’m not letting this one go.

Edit: On the preorder day for the Pro 30th, I was on two devices on two IPs, numerous friends trying, and even had co-workers trying. No one I know that day was able to get in the queue under 15 minutes from 10am to order the Pro 30th. Most people I know had a 30-60 minute queue, including me. So how does one guy on ebay get his hands on 4 or more Pro 30th consoles?
