Are FF8 and Mario RPG turn-based?

Zell/Irvine/Squall/Selphie limit breaks and GF Boosts and Mario heavier attacks are all interactive, so they're not turn-based?

Games Leaving PS+ Extra and Premium in May (should be May 20th):
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Moto GP24
  • The Sims 4 Island Living Expansion Pack
  • Resistance: Fall of Man
  • Resistance 2
  • Walkabout Mini Golf
  • Synth Riders
  • Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord Frozen Empire
  • Before Your Eyes
  • The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners
  • The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners Chapter 2
  • LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2
  • Stranded: Alien Dawn
  • The LEGO Movie 2 Video Game
  • Ghostrunner
  • Payday 2: Crimewave Edition
  • Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
  • Journey to the Savage Planet
  • Portal Knights
  • Enter the Gungeon
  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • inFamous: Second Son

Pretty shitty to remove first party games unless they are planning remasters. Infamous doesn't need one, but the Resistance Trilogy with current gen graphics would be a dream.

Anyone play Expedition 33? Game's sitting at 92 Metascore... I didn't really get the hype for the game but wow, that's pretty impressive. Gonna have to give it a try.
I was all set after finishing AC Shadows was going to play Indy...the 33 came out and I got sucked into the reviews. Now that will be my next....course I am the type to do everything in an AC game so still might be awile 🙃

Around my area that (33) is sold out everywhere.

Ff is atb which is different. But ignoring that for a moment outside of say limit breaks there are not that many qtes in it.

SMrpglotss is turn based with action commands for regular and special attacks with only items not having them. You can also time guards iirc to reduce damage. You Don't have to do action commands for the majority. But you'll get reduced damage if you don't do themand or combos will end immediately. Outside of the fire ball moves and super/star jump since those do require timing and or button mashing.

I just read E33 is a Soulsborne-like game... welp, there goes my interest.
Difficulty can be tuned to story at any time if you'd like a relaxed playthrough; you might just find you're up to the challenge though! You'd get your money's worth for the journey alone even without the combat because this is one of those rare games that has something for everyone.

It can be hard, especially the bosses but I definitely wouldn’t consider it a Soulsborne-like. And as mentioned, it has difficulty settings which a Souls game would never have.

Absolutely amazing game that I’d strongly recommend to any serious gamer.
