Playstation Rewards program is back!

I suppose an unexpected number of people hit GT5XL level which caused a problem... that would make the most sense in my opinion.
 
whats the current time frame after the event ends on avrg untill the rewards are shipped out.

only need 2 more points and i have enough for the jak collection (close to having a spasm with excitement)

I think it's about two weeks.
 
Wonder if we'll get a "compensation prize" like when they gave out Motorstorm Apocolypse for delaying... I forget which game (since I wasn't a member at the time, just remember reading about it). Uncharted 3 would appease me :D

thats weird i could of sworn when i popped in that sucker for the first time and head straight to co-op it kept asking me to input/buy an online pass code.

We didnt get Motorstorm/MLB over a delay, but because the PSN was down and thus we couldn't accurately complete the challenges. While there is minimal to no logic there... that was the reason.

Additionally they had a long delay on the Madden codes and we got... Madden codes (I would have settled for nothing personally...)

That would be awesome! I hope it's not Uncharted 3 since I already own it. Any other free items autos be dope though.

Sucks, though. I mean, free stuff is always cool, but when you believe that you will receive your prize within a certain time, especially when an email was sent out saying to expect shipment on a certain day, there is going to be a let down.

But since I am not too thrilled with the game (I find it too difficult to drive the cars, lol), then I don't mind too much. I did want to trade it toward my Vita, though.

hmm I just got accepted in Week 2, but I checked my point total and it says I have 366 points. I did vote in the polls before I got accepted, maybe they counted them? I'll be ecstatic if I get the J&D collection, hope they don't take away my points.

So I just got invited and made my first 330 points, but it looks like there is only one period left for the month. Is there any way to get 2 points or am I going to miss this month's prize by a hair?

I just got my e-mail and it says my GT5XL will ship in Feb and the LBP2 stuff ships next week - sounds like they're sending out stuff all staggered.

Oh well, you're an unlucky guy, but 40 bucks could fix that... if you really want the game.

Also, don't worry about anything... you can get the prizes for the next month... I was pissed because I only learned about the program after november... and missed some prizes like Motorstorm Apocalypse, Infamous 2, LBP 2 and Everybody Dance, but I'm not mad at all, I could buy them later while I keep enjoying the free stuff they're giving me since I joined in december for GT5XL :cool:
 
Thanks for the replies. I was a few days late, but at least I heard about this before the program shuts down. I'm kind of surprised this is the first I'm hearing about this, it seems like they give out great prizes for very little effort. I'm looking forward to next month :D.
 
Being fairly new to the program, I was wondering if the 2011 Rewards party ends at the end of March? If there is a 2012 party do you automatically get transferred / accepted to that?

If you got accepted after the first week had already completed, they might give you a break. I would just e-mail them and ask if anything can be done. They're really nice folks...the worst they can do is say no.

Agreed... since you're already in the worst case scenario, why not giving it a try? if they help you, you might be able to get the game, if they don't, well, back to where you were from the beginning, nothing to lose.

That's how it worked for this one, people in the 2010 program were automatically enrolled into this year's party. Although the 2010 party was only 5-6 month's long.
 
I think the shipping delay is because Sony (the company) had unexpected issues with getting the game shipped and released to dealers. I heard that people weren't able to get gta 5 xl in stores on release day because it wasnt available. Amazon, gs, walmart... didn't have the game in time. I'm assuming this is what has led to our delay.

Looks like they're experiencing some issues with shipping... when they announced Heavy Rain: Director's Cut, they had to postpone the release date by 1 week, if I'm not mistaken... (but Amazon only got it after BF, maybe they wanted to toss the standard GH version stock into soccer moms that were looking for ANY discount on games on BF, fuck them for making me pay MSRP for it on that B2G1 50% off promo after BF...) anyway, it really seems they're having problems with re-releases :D

Yes, they did. But don't worry, your LBP stuff will ship this week as informed on that email
