PriceGrabber $5 Rebate Topic w/ Lists Of Eligible Games (Updated 3/2)
just sent in 5 last week, but i forget what ones i sent.....didnt write reviews yet. Hmmmmmm
I'm always slow on the reviews.. Figure if they don't have any urgency in processing them, I don't have any urgency in completing them.
just sent in 5 last week, but i forget what ones i sent.....didnt write reviews yet. Hmmmmmm
Expect them to read the riot act to you about that. Or just deny them outright and tell you to fuck off.

so they would care a great deal if you sent it after the expiration date? nobody on here honestly tried sending it after the postmark date? if only they allowed more than 5 submissions per month I wouldn't have lagged on...

would making a new account and downloading a new rebate form work?

I don't know how closely they watch it, but I have been denied for being past the expiration date many moons ago. That's part of the reason I use PayPal shipping. Costs a buck extra in postage, but I can print a label with a postmark date at the end of the month, even if it takes me another day or two to get things together.

As far as a new account, I think you need a different email address and mailing address.

My 9/27 submissions were received around 10/2, so says DC, and they're still not showing in the system.

Whenever I send a review(s) in, I include a small snippet of my review as well so they find what they're looking for easily (though I know they still verify the electronic review.)

OK, late September submitters, check those rebates! I just looked at 2 am Pacific Tuesday and FOUR of my 5 (submitted in the same envelope of course) are showing up. Hopefully the 5th shows up soon or is just missing because my last name is mispelled (need to wait for the emails to know that for sure).

I'm pretty sure I last checked Sunday night and they weren't there then. Get this - the rec'd date is showing as Oct 5th . You'd think they could update the rebate DB a little faster. Oh well... Now I just need to wonder about that 5th one. And also, since they are "fresh" they don't have the error status up yet. I can't wait to see what they might come up with this month to reject them.

Thanks for the heads-up, io. I have 5 listed as of 10/9, unfortunately they are telling me I submitted one twice. I sure do love this new processing center.

I hear you. I just checked mine again and thankfully no errors on the 4. Of course, the 5th is still missing .

:dunce:
..Is there a way to update your address? I just moved and I'm about to send in some submissions.
Or do I just use my new address on the forms when I fill them out..:dunce:

i just got 7 checks in the mail this week. I think im up to date now, with the 5 October ones I sent last week being the only outstanding rebates now.

They won't change your address, as the rebates are tied to the address they were submitted under. You'll just need to check them against your old address for existing ones, and your new address for new ones.

Luckily they didn't give me any hassle about my 5th "duplicate" rebate. Said they'd reprocess it under the correct bonus #.

my early submissions on Sept were finally up this wk however only 3/5 of the rebates showed up I'm guessing price grabber screwed up and lost the rest. Is there anyway to resubmitt the lost rebates?

Are you basing this on the rebate search page or the emails they send about a week later? Because if you haven't gotten your emails yet there's no need to panic. If you get all 5 check the spelling of your last name. I only had 4 show up on the search and sure enough I got 5 emails with one having my last name wrong (you can then look it up online using the misspelled name). If you only get 3 emails, THEN I would contact them about it.

I only received 3 emails saying 3 of them would soon to be processed as a check. 1st time this happened, the other 2 are missing? Usually I get all the e-mails at once saying they're going to be processed as a check is there a delay in the email?

If you sent all 5 at the same time and only 3 showed up on the rebate search and you only got 3 emails then I would definitely contact them. Use the PriceGrabber Support link at the bottom of the "Your Account" page.

By the delay I meant they usually send the emails out at least a few days after they show up in the rebate search.

Now, if you sent these in separate envelopes it is entirely possible they just haven't processed the others yet. Still, if they were from Sept I would contact them about it anyway.

Mine from early Sept just showed up too.

However something weird happened. If I go check my status only 4 of the 5 show up.

In my email i got 5 confirmations however.

A day later I got a 6th confirmation, but my last name was spelled wrong.

I'm assuming that is the missing one from my status page, but why did I get 5 correct emails in the first place?

Is it hard to get a name corrected?

This new processing center is going to be heavenly.

My October submissions showed up today (received 11/6), and two of them claim I didn't include a UPC. Guess I'll preemptively scan those in an email them over to get this nonsense moving. Still waiting on the resubmit of the rebate from last month that claimed to be a duplicate.

The amount of errors and crap they're putting people through lately just seems ridiculous. I actually stopped putting through submissions cause I don't have time to write the reviews, let alone deal with checking the status page for 2 months and then straightening out all their retardedness. I'll probably start again in January, but I can already imagine the headaches.

Well, I guess the odds finally caught up to me. Only one of my 5 submittals for October showed up (online and email confirm) about a week and a half ago. All 5 were in the same envelope. Email to CS has been sent.

I was quite surprised as I got FOUR emails for my 5 submissions from October already. I wasn't even going to check for them for a few weeks. But of course, only 4 emails worried me. But then on the rebate search it shows all 5... OK, so I look through them and one shows "Limit five rebates per month per person" #-o. I mean, I can't make it any simpler - I send 5 in a single envelope every month around the very end of the month and put a note in there saying "These are my 5 submissions for October. Thanks!".

Oy... I guess another PG support contact is in order.

This would be so much nicer if it weren't for the trouble involved in tracking down up to $25 monthly. I've become disenchanted by the whole process and how convoluted it's become... :bomb:

I try to keep my income separate from money earned/used for gaming, so I'll probably cut down on game purchases if I lay off PG.

So far, my 9/26 submissions are batting 0/5. :cold:

Here's a new one:
Error(s):
Limit one rebate per part number and product ID ,
No records were found that matched your PriceGrabber bonus number

Found this when I received four out of five emails for my October submissions. This one above had the error message as shown above. It was for Bonus # 2883677-xxxxxx , which doesn't exist. However, if you search for Final Fantasy Chocobo tales, you'll see it's item # 32883677 . I checked the rebate form, and it shows Bonus # 32883677-xxxxxx. Looks like I know why the error above shows up. :whistle2:s

Hello data entry error, Pricegrabber. fucking idiots. :wall: I'll let you know what they send back in reply to my email.

5 rebates, 1 envelope, 1 e-mail back to me for september rebates :(

I went and checked on their site and saw that 2 went though ok and 4 (?) were rejected for the 5 per a month limit.

I think the real question is does price grabber do this stuff on purpose or are they really this dumb? So far out of 2 months with the new PG rebate center they screwed up worse then ever on both months for me.

I think the only reason I keep doing the PG rebates is because I'm a glutton for mathamaticly thinking I got any game I can do a PG rebate for $5 cheaper.

I received back an email yesterday after I sent mine into them, and they admitted that the processing center screwed up. I'll check in a week and see if they fixed it or not.

The "5 per month limit" has been bandied back and forth around here on their interpretation. By what it states on paper, you could send in 5 on October 31st and 5 on November 1st, and it would be valid. I've shot them 10 in the span of two weeks, across two different months, and I didn't have any issues. From what we're guessing, they may be interpreting it as "5 per 30 day period", and as I've been sending them in at the end of the month, I've not had any issue.

I'd suggest emailing them and asking what the issue is, because if you sent them 5 per month, there should be no issue.

I'll be e-mailing that's for sure :D

I've done so in the past before when they fucked up to do resubmits but usually it was within 2-3 months I'd get a month were 1-2 rebates were messed up. Now it seems as if I'm going to be e-mailing them every month to fix 3-4 rebates and it seems to be the same way for everyone else at CAG that does the PG rebates.

If I didn't keep a spending tab on here and on GoogleDocs, I wouldn't care. But that $5 a piece goes a long way on paper.

But see, I've been doing the same thing (always send 5 right at the end of the month so I'm within both the "5 per month" and "5 per 30 days" as close as I can be). I've had issues with the "over 5" thing 2 of the last 3 months. I did get a response back from PG support within a day and half this time saying they approved the missing one, so, once again, they fixed it promptly. It won't show in the rebate search for a while. And THAT could have been the problem this time - my last missing rebate fix showed up as a Customer Service resubmit just last month so perhaps the person processing the submissions thought it counted as 1 of my 5. But I think it is more random than that ;).

On the plus side, I just got notice that I'm getting checks mailed for all 5 of my September submissions. Those are the ones that took forever to show up on the site (and one had my last name misspelled) but at least all the checks are coming.

As for PriceGrabber support, I KEEP POSTING THIS on like every page, but I'll repeat it again:

Go to the "Your Account" tab and click on the "Contact PriceGrabber Support" link at the bottom. Fill out the form with your issue. I've been getting 1-3 day turnaround in getting the rebate errors corrected that way.

WTF! They rejected 2 of my 5 rebates for missing UPC. The UPC was on the same page as the receipts and they still missed. To add insult to the injury, on 3 of the rebates they mispelled my name. Promptly contacted them via their support form.

Dang, just checked my submissions that are in "Required Service Period" and it seems like I forgot to do an online review! If I write one now, will that help?

I'm sure your copies were very clear, but in some cases where they reject UPCs I think it is due to the inability to scan the UPCs with a barcode reader. One time I sent in the ORIGINAL UPC cut from the box (was not a video game) because the tape used to seal the box had faded the barcode and it wouldn't show in a copy at all.

They rejected it for "no UPC" even though it was taped right there on the same page with the receipt. They resubmitted it "this one time" but said in general that if they cannot scan it, they will reject it. I had no idea they actually scanned them in and that is an interesting bit of info. So it is more imporant that the bar code be clear than the actual numbers (which is what I assumed they used to check submissions).

I think it was crap that they denied you the rebate because you included it and it didn't scan. Not your fault.
Are you being sarcastic there Shrike? ;).

I dunno, I just pictured a person opening these things and checking the numbers on the bar code against the UPC number on the form. I didn't think they'd actually give them a bar code scanner - seems like overkill to me.

The point I was trying to make is that EVEN IF your numbers are clear as day, if the bar code won't scan they will reject it as "no UPC". So that might explain why people are getting those rejections even when they clearly included the UPC. It might be less due to incompetance than on assinine protocol.

In other news, I got 5 checks today ;).

They apparently lost seven rebates I have mailed in. Four being from September which were all sent together. They told me to fax or e-mail it to them. I will be working on that tomorrow and Friday. Bunch of bullshit, now I remember why I stopped doing these rebates.

They have been at their worst for me also lately Dkellar :(

For my September & October rebates only 1 out of 10 went though ok for me.

I checked on all of this last night and shot them an e-mail hopefully they will fix it as they always do although I can't help but be a little bit worried with the 4 that didn't show up at all and having 9 total from 2 months that need fixed.

Here's a run down of everything. The 4 from September that say nothing just plain out didn't show up in any way shape or form for me on the rebate inquiry page.

Star Fox Assault - Limit five rebates per month per person (11/01/2007)

sucks to hear that FOneweal, my early sept submissions took 2 months for them to finish processing! now I subitted 5 more this month, about 2 weeks ago and on the web inquiry it shows all 5 is in processing

Ugh, finally - took 1 month and 3 weeks to process my rebates.

BUT - I see 7 rebates being processed now from September! I only sent 5 in the envelope and I'm too lazy to check the offer IDs at the moment, but I know I havent sent any in for the 5 I requested in November. Wonder where the extra 2 came from...

Have any new games been getting rebates? I haven't checked other systems, but no November Wii releases have rebates attached, seems odd.

when it says $5 bonus available, what exactly depends on the $5 in rebates the number of reviews they get or how old the game has been out?
