Yeah, ended up turning it off.
BIG mistake. You missed another riveting chapter in the Darren/Titus rivalry, and a fantastic backstage promo with Alicia Fox and Nia Jax. Followed by a Braun Strowman vs Sin Cara match, won't spoil then end of that one for you!

Tuned back in for the start of the Nia and Foxy promo and promptly switched back to ESPN. Caught the end of the Strowman match, so thats cool, I guess!

I actually want to see more of pissed off Alicia Fox.
I did actually enjoy that she fuck 'd up the box throw and hit Nia in the face and then felt bad. That was a funny bit. Seems like a big mistake putting her on the show where JBL's hat isn't present, though.

Raw really started to fall apart during hour 3 last night. I hope bringing in the Cruiserweight Division can help remedy this, I am beyond excited for who has been announced thus far especially my dude Jack Gallagher joining the roster.

I'm trying to figure out why, at least on paper, wrestling is as good or better than it has ever been, but I'm watching less and less. I'm already back to not watching Smackdown and maybe one or two segments of Raw at most. Gave up on catching up on LU. Cancelled the Network again despite mostly enjoying the CWC.

Think I'm just burned out. Despite the "changes," there's still too much wrestling on TV.

Probably bc wrestling is both the matches and the narrative. You can't very easily watch matches in isolation unless you're trying to appreciate strictly what they're doing in the match. So if you're not following Raw, it's hard to see Owens vs Rollins as crucial watching.

I suppose I'm thinking that there is so much material that it almost devalues everything because it's so hard to pick and stick with one.

I love watching wrestling, but definitely agree there is just too much to keep up with. I love a lot of stuff outside WWE too, but I don't get El Rey so I don't watch much Lucha Underground, despite really enjoying it when I get the chance to watch it or check out YouTube videos and the same goes for TNA as I don't get Pop TV, but have enjoyed Impact recently. 3 hour Raw is hard to follow, it's just too damn long and this past week was a good example of the show falling apart by hour three, hopefully the Cruiserweight Division can help remedy this problem with the influx of incredible talent coming to Raw in a few weeks. I've found Smackdown to be very enjoyable since the brand split and the flow of the show is fantastic, the two hours go by quickly and I am entertained throughout the show. NXT is still good, but not as great as it was a year ago and the CWC has been the best WWE related show since it started in July, but after next week it's over. I also try to watch other stuff like PROGRESS, which I just canceled my subscription to their On-Demand service today because I just don't have to time to keep up and I've been paying the $7.50 a month since January, after this month it'll be over, but I am sure I will subscribe again as I really enjoy what they are doing. NJPW is another one I love watching, but have a hard time following on top of everything else. Being an adult really kills your free time and I have other things I want to do with that time other than watch wrestling.

Watching LU from last night, it's very good. Damn solid matches.

Thing to look at in last night's CWC (I don't know if it made camera): the ring announcer's face after the TJP/Swann match.

I should say I always read results and stuff, I'm not just popping in and out blindly. I think the problem is I rarely feel like I'm missing anything. If something neat happens like Sasha winning the title randomly on Raw I just look it up later and save myself 2 hours and 58 minutes.

Hmm. Well, let me ask this, then: what live television do you watch? Is there anything that gives you that I HAVE TO WATCH THIS INSTANT compulsion?

(I.e., I wonder if it's a result of market saturation of wrestling, of tv shows in general, and how we watch programming now - on any device, in any place, at any time.)

I watch live when I can (Sling TV trials are great), and am glad that I do when things like last week's RAW main event happen. Reading about that after the fact is just not nearly as fun.

Just Raw and Smackdown for me, with the occasional live NXT and PPVs.

Speaking of Smackdown, another solid show. It's about time
the Uso's turned.

Really looking forward to Backlash.

The last thing I watched live was a Sounders match at a friend's house about a month ago. At home, I never watch anything at all live. A few minutes of news here and there but other than that, nothing. It's all DVR, all the time.

That's what I think it might be - our habit around viewing in general have changed. We no longer feel chained to *this* channel at *this* time. It's a lot of happenstance a la carte viewing. We pick something based on some criteria - e.g., I'm in the middle of the Sopranos, but I'll only put an episode on if I know I have time to pay attention to an entire episode. If I think I'll be working/writing/dicking around on my computer, then I won't watch it.

So, since we use those various things to decide what it is we want to use to watch a show, it makes it easier to say "oh, not that one right now," and we have basically applied our attitude towards low-priority work projects to tv shows. We can very much say "eh, not right now" over and over again until we accidentally feel distant from the product.

I mean, that's just what I think.

There's just too much WWE been aired and not enough value. It'd be like getting locked inside of a Wal-Mart with no chance of escape but the only thing you could eat would be Little Debbie snacks.

It's become a CHORE trying to keep up with 3 hours of Raw every week AND working 60 hours a week AND being married. Then a 2 hour Smackdown gets thrown into the mix AND an hour of NXT. We even tried the Hulu route as it's only 90 minutes...that's helped a little.

We've decided to really just stick to PPV only for awhile.

I'd rather read the recaps of Raw/SD and catch clips and watch LU/CWC/NXT. I don't get to catch most anything live anymore so I at least get the benefit of fast-forwarding through boring parts. 3 hour Raw usually is ~90, can be less if the matches stink but it's been better lately. CWC matches are so good.

I Usually skip RAW unless there's a great promo that's must see, then I'll watch that on Hulu. Otherwise NXT I always watch and Smackdown has been consistent enough these days that I feel I can watch that and know it'll be worth my time. CWC I'll go through for sure.

Am I the only one that purposely starts watching "live" TV on delay. I start watching Raw at either 9 or even 9:30. By the time you zip through commercials and blow past all the recaps, you are easily caught up by 11 and then the show is over and it didn't last no 3 hours. I start Smackdown between 8:30 and 8:45 and delay all 60 minute programs 15 minutes. I thought one of the best perks of DVR was you could watch something on it before watching something "live" and literally never sit through a commercial ever again. You people watch TV wrong. The only thing that I feel obligated to watch truly live is NFL, and that's only cause of fantasy.

60 hours a week of work! Damn dude I can't even imagine a world that you have time to watch even one WWE show a week. I work 40 hours a week and have a hard time watching Raw, Smackdown Live, and NXT every week. I just canceled my subscription to PROGRESS On-Demand since I don't have time to watch it on any regular basis.

Matt Hardy -- "As you know, I am the spot monkey whisperer."

"I would like to introduce you to Brother Nero.  He is a recovering spot monkey."

He's still gettin' it done.

I almost always do that. The only things I watch live are sports- NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB- and PPVs on WWE Network. I love WWE, but I'm not about to sit there from 5-8:10 P.M. on a Monday night watching all the commercials and recaps.

I love Alexa's new look.

Good opener. Naomi has improved a lot sans that one rope botch. Still, a very good match.

Congratulations,
BECKY BALBOA.

I hope he requires some prescription drugs to help him heal and he gets flagged for a wellness violation. Hes probably not required to test but that'd be super ironic.

I read he tore one of his quads again while squatting

probably called Hunter and Nash and said, I'm winning 3-1, you wussies.
At first I misread that as "while squirting" and spit coffee all over myself.

Jesus CHRIST Bray needs to turn face. Have him take the IC title from Miz, the white leather would look great on him.

Nah, I'm seeing Sabre/Ibushi in the finals, and I couldn't fathom a guess as to which of those two win.

Thankfully got out of class early tonight to watch. :)
