Got modnation racers for free.
Had $5 off coupon at gamestop and game was $5.
Okay game, just have to used to it.
It was free not much complaining from me.
I was really disappointed in this version, especially after the PSP edition. The controls/driving is...blocky. Just not smooth.

What does refurbished even mean from GS? They cleaned the screen with a paper towel? They used compressed air in all the ports?
Your being to kind, I think it means they took it in used, checked that it worked, and threw it in a box with "refurbished" stamped on it and now offer it along with a 7-10 day return.

My Vita been sitting on my shelf for a long time. Last game I played was Lone Survivor thru the free PS Plus. I guess Vita is mostly for anime ppl.

I'm not into anime at all, and I love the Vita (have three of them). Plenty of fantastic games available for it that aren't anime-style.

Indeed. Trunks should dust off his Vita and play some of the numerous indie games available for it. I hooked up my spare PlayStation TV at my parent's new house last night and started filling its 8 Gig card with some of the digital offerings from my PSN account. The thing is now stuffed with high-quality gaming offerings, new and old, and I'm only about half way through the memory card.

Also, on permanence issue, game preservation continues to be a very challenging topic. But it's a very real issue that effects the entire history of a medium that is as dependent on technology as video games happen to be. It's far more significant than whether or not individual consumers will have access to games for the duration of their lives.

I've recently started picking up used games on the low ($5~$15), plus the free PSN games and I'm pretty happy with it.

I play basically anything on it besides the Anime style games.

I'm going to sell everything to fund my mini-pyramid, so I can have them in my after life.

...wait.
Why not go a step further, and suddenly convert to buddism, set up a system to locate where your soul settles in the next life and get your games back to play them all again, for the first time!

As for non-Anime games, the Killzone Vita game was hovering around $25-20 last week, I would also recommend Terreria next time it's super cheap on PSN (primarily due to it's small file size of 300Mb) as that is a great side scrolling sand box game. (the PC version is still better if that is an option, but still a good port.)

How long after the psp store closing will we see psp titles rereleased on other platforms?
Just to clarify, the store is closing to PSP systems so you can't access them on the PSP anymore.

There are also already a library of PSP games for the Vita, so if it's not there, it'll just depend how long it takes them to get to it.

Dang, looks like I jumped the gun when I bought at 30.
Nevermind, my copy was in the mail today, and it came with the calendar. It was also clearly not "New", since it was opened, resealed with a sticker, and there's a scratch on the cover of the calendar. Woo Gamestop! Now my waifus feel dirty.

Deadline for Libra is getting closer and closer, but I still don't see an actual update since a couple weeks ago on the amount, and the approval status. ~_~

YOU NOT GETTING MAH MONEY UNTIL I SEE PROOF JERKS!

Anticipating an update on Friday. Messaged them on Twitter regarding the lack of a update on Monday and got this response yesterday.:

@game_player_s Within a couple days from now! ^^

Trials Lioheart Edition Vita is $5 off at BBY.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/the-legend-of-heroes-trails-of-cold-steel-lionheart-edition-ps-vita/4595057.p?id=1219775861283&skuId=4595057

Sigh...If it was $10 off I would have bought it without question.
It's been sold out online for that price for about a week now.

It's too bad too since this is probably the one thing that would survive being shipped by BB, lol.

I didn't bother mentioning it since it was like gone right away. :(

If you can find it in store, it'd probably be even cheaper assuming your BB doesn't suck like mine.

Hmm..when I posted it, it showed the add to cart option for me, maybe a glitch in my browser or something. Or it just came in stock for a few minutes.

In any event, should have bought it :wall:

Looks like Gamestop has taken Vita off their search bar on the top and replaced it with VR. Now you have to click on the More tab and find it there with other relevant systems like the Wii, DS, PSP, Gamecube and PS2.

Sad day...

So I hate to post this, but I actually got a private message from the folks running the LIBRA campaign. I've been pretty vocal about drumming up support on their kickstart page as well as some other forums, and they reached out to me for ideas on how they could get more contributions. Here's what they sent me.... (Names removed)

Hi there, <name>!

How have you been?

We wanted to reach out to you today hoping for some feedback and support. You've been a big help throughout our campaign (which we are very grateful for) but not only that, you've been great at rallying the Vita supporters to our campaign. So, we consider you one of the go-to guys for Vita matters. :D

Anyways, we are about to release our progress update for Libra, going over how much we've raised since the end of Kickstarter and how we've done in BackerKit so far. We want to show where we are in terms of the next stretch goal.

In our last update, I had posted a screenshot of our total raised in BackerKit. Unfortunately, we realized later on that this figure is not accurate because it does not take into account

1 BackerKit fees

2 Cost of add-on production

3 How much we're actually left with to put towards the stretch goals

For Kickstarter, we had a pie-chart which displayed our fund allocation, and we've just made one for BackerKit. After some number crunching, a sharper total of how much we've actually raised has been determined.

Oh, we also took a look at how much we lost from backed droppers and pledges. There's that, too. :whistle2:/

With that said, as you might have guessed, the Vita stretch goal is MUCH further away than it seems, and we're feeling strongly that we will not come close to reaching it. So, we will be opening up feedback and suggestions on what we should do. We'd like the community to give us their opinion, but first, we wanted to contact you before the update is published.

We haven't had an overwhelming rush of Vita fans requesting BackerKit invites throughout KS/post-KS, but even so, we'd like to find a way to speak to them.

Thanks for your time, <name>-sama!

Cheers,

So....it doesn't look too good, but I did give them some ideas on being more active in the VITA communities such as the VITA reddit, partnering with other companies with successful kickstarters such as the Muv-Luv folks (even sekaiproject stepped in to publish Quantum Suicide), and also reaching out to Limitedrungames for a physical edition down the road if they can't do it in the kickstarter. We will see what they say in the next update, but as of right now it isn't looking good :/

Not sure if Quantum Suicide is a great example considering there is no physical for Vita. :*(

I agree LRG would possibly be a good place for it if they ever decide to partner with somebody elsewhere, although I'd be angry that I'll have to get my copy after everyone else gets theirs like last time.

Just too many inconsistencies with this project, and after hearing some of the things that are going on behind the scenes, it just doesn't feel like they planned this out well at all, and it will most likely not happen any time soon, especially not for the kickstarter, which is a damn shame.

Thanks for giving us an update on this whole debacle.
